So guys when are you putting up your Christmas Decorations?

I think I might do mine next weekend:) Although my lovely Mickey and Minnie advent calander thingy will have to go up on Monday ;)

Does anyone have some lovely Disney Christmas Decorations?

Well our tree is going up on Monday, being the 1st of December..:)

It wil only have Disney Christmas character ornaments on it::yes::

We are doing ours next Saturday as that is the only Saturday DH has off till after Xmas

The plan is next weekend as the following weekend we'll be in WDW :teeth: !

I just love looking through the latest Xmas decs on sale, and can't resist buying some new ones each year.

Think I will put ours up the weekend after next.

We put ours up this weekend listening to Carols as we did so, covering it with Disney stuff :bounce: .

Off to WDW this Christmas so will have loads more to add to it on our return I'm sure.

Hmm - this is always cause for "discussion" in our house. Darryl would have put them up this weekend, especially since we had friends over, but I'm more for the middle weekend of December.

I have all sorts of Xmas decorations that lovingly get wrapped up each year, many from my parents and grandparents.

I get a new Disney decoration (or two;) ) each year, but wherever we travel I pick up one to remind me. This year I got a great Father Xmas with a bright pink dangly legged Flamingo under his arm from Captiva which will look really great on the tree:earseek:

I have Xmas dragons from Hong Kong, Xmas somethings from the Philippines (we've never been able to figure out what they are, must ask my SIL) loads of stuff from France, Austria and Switzerland from my ski trips of old. But my favourite has to be the hand-made from Harrods bauble for Katie's First Xmas, awww:earsgirl:

I always buy my friend a Xmas deccie as a thank you for looking after the house while we're away - she loves them::yes::

PS - that's just reminded me. When I asked how much a "bauble" was in the Xmas shop in Disney, the server was hysterical, she'd never heard "bauble" before and tried so hard to pronounce it - most of her colleagues joined in too:tongue:

Ours went up yesterday. We recently moved and I was dying to see what the new place would look like all decorated - I'm just a big kid really! DS is now 10. Up to now, we have told him that the fairies decorate the tree - basically so that we could do it all when he had gone to bed without any "help" from him! Yesterday, we just said that the fairies had left everything in the loft ... I think he knows really but is probably playing along for my sake!

I've tended to put my tree up about 2 weeks before Chrimbo day in the past, but this year we are off to WDW on Boxing day, so we'll be putting it up early, this coming weekend, so we have the Christmas spirirt in the house as long as we would normally. This is only my second christmas as part of a couple/family, and last year putting up the tree with my lass and her boys was great fun (even if I had to go around and re-arrange a lot of it after they'd all gone to bed - they have no eye for design ! ;) )

It's become a kind of tradition in my family that my tree is absolutely festooned with loads of lights, yards and yards of tinsel and more baubles than you can imagine - we got the tree and deco's out of the loft yesterday, and we had 2 huge bin bags full of lights, tinsel and baubles, as well as a couple of smaller boxes of baubles (including some Disney ones) ! Kitsch isn't the word !

We took advantage of a dry day yesterday to get our new rope lights up outside the front of the house. It's the first time we've had exterior lights, and now we've got them up we want more !! A well lit Santa or Snowman seems set to join the lights soon. I can see now why some people have so many things up...

We try to kid ourselves that it's for the kids, but underneath, we know really that it's all for us...

Ok, December 1st, we're getting really close now...

:Pinkbounc :eek: :crazy: ::yes:: :bounce:

We shall probably be putting our tree and decorations up either the 13th or 20th December, (we will have to surround the tree with an eletric fence to keep our little angel of a puppy away from it LOL).

I never seem to get into the festive mood until I finsh work for the holidays, and I think if you have the tree and decoration up too early you get bored with them by the time Christmas arrives :)

Hi Tim - I'm sure Barney wouldn't MEAN to do any damage ... things just fall into puppies mouths don't you know ....!

Our little labrador puppy, Molly, has been brilliant and hasn't gone anywhere near the tree or the other decorations - yet!

Many of my neighbors already have all their lights up. Driving down my street is a bit like cruising the strip in Vegas--the lights are bright!

This year I got a great Father Xmas with a bright pink dangly legged Flamingo under his arm from Captiva which will look really great on the tree

....... I'm trying to picture this Annie :teeth: (.. are you sure he's not running off with the turkey :teeth: ? )

Tim, do you wanna borrow our WDW monorail :teeth: ?

I would have also put ours up on 13th or 20th if we weren't going to be in WDW then! ...... just telling you again in case you'd forgotten ;) !

Mine went up on the 1st, as did DD, she has a little one in her room, full of disney things :)

hi all
i always do my tree the first weekend in december::yes:: any way we got halfway through it this year and my youngest son decided to fall off his scooter and we then spent the rest of our saturday in casualty it turns out he has broken a bone in his foot and is now in plaster (the only thing that pleased him is it's the same bone that david beckham broke)we finally got our tree finished on sunday:rolleyes:

Always the 1st December, it's been a tradition that started the year DD was born so that she'd have plenty of time to enjoy them. Now that DS is 'on the prowl' though, it's a full time job protecting him and the tree from each other!!!
