Christmas Decorations

We have visited WDW for years the first 2 weeks of December. Love all the decorations and festive mood. This year my dh has decided to take his vacation after Christmas so we will be arriving in WDW on January 3rd for 2 weeks. When do they remove the Xmas decorations? I'm a newbie at this time of year, any thoughts on going at this time....Thanks

Some of them may be down by Jan 3. But the rest will go down shortly after that if they aren't already gone.

Thanks, I'm going to miss seeing them. Christmas is my favorite time to go.

How late do they usually keep them? We are thinking of going the 31st- Jan 4th. Will we see any at the resorts and magic Kingdom on the 1st and 2nd? Will be later when we get in on the 31st....

If memory serves me correctly the tree(s) were down at Epcot on either the 1st or 2nd of January last year.

I'd think you'd have a good chance to see them. The MK decorations usually don't go down before the marathon because the lit up castle looks nice in all the photos of the runners.

Our latest trip was from Jan 10-19 and the resort and all the parks were still decorated when we arrived, and almost none of the decorations came down until after the marathon on Jan 13, so I would expect to see the same thing in 2020.
