We will be there the week after Thanksgiving. Are the Christmas decorations all up at that point? We were there middle of Nov. last year and they had started putting them up but not lighting them. Thanks

Visit as many of the resorts as you can, the decoration are worth seeing.

Yes, the decor will be up. I must say that we went this year at christmas time, and I was really disappointed in the decor at downtown disney. Just not alot of christmas decorations. But the park and hotels are decked out. You must go by Wilderness lodge, they do a wonderful job with holiday decor. Have a great trip.

we've been to WDW during the week after thanksgiving for each of the past 2 years...what a WONDERFUL time to go! you will love it....all of the holiday decorations are up, christmas parades are on, and various other holiday-related shows are happening. we did MVMCP last year and had a blast!

i agree with the poster that said to make sure you visit as many resorts as you can - ESPECIALLY wilderness lodge. and don't miss the osborne lights at MGM....they're spectacular!

Would also highly recommend getting tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, is worth every penny in my opinion!!

When do the Xmas decorations come down? We always used to visit before Xmas, but with the school holiday starting later in 2008, we're planning an early January visit instead.

Love, love, love going when the Christmas decorations are up. We were staying at the WL during Thanksgiving and when we went to bed Thanksgiving night they had started on the tree in the lobby and when we woke up it was 100% up and the rest of the lobby decorations were up as well. It gives such a festive feel to the air when you walk into a park, especially walking down Mainstreet at MK, when everything is all decked out for Christmas.

I think someone commented recently they were down really early, as early as Jan. 3. They put them up earlier this year so maybe they took them down earlier. Unless you are going to be there on Jan. 1 or 2, I would not count on them.
