Christmas decorations

When do the decorations go up & how soon do they come down?
DH would like to go over this time, but I am not sure it will work for me.

We were there the first week of November last year and alot of the resorts decorations were already up. There was nothing up in the parks yet though. That was the first time we had been there at that time of the year so I'm not real sure if that is rare that they would be going up that soon or not. I know it takes them quite some time to put them all up. This past Halloween we were there and they had already put up most of the Osbourn lights in MGM. I'm pretty sure that everything will be up right before Thanksgiving.

We were there this past Jan.1st-7th and all the parks were still decorated with Christmas music playing over the speakers.

I'm not sure when they go up but they usually start coming down after the 1st weekend in January.

Funny enough, we were there the weekend the decorations went up and the weekend they came down last year. I'm looking in my trip records to find those dates as I'm sure they are pretty uniform every year.

They went up the weekend of November 12th-13th... and they came down the weekend of January 7th-8th.

In general, decorations are typically all up the day before Thansgiving and should be down by the end of the first full week of the new year. Note you may still see some decorations going up in stages before and after these dates.
