Are some of the Christmas decorations up by first of November? November 3rd to be exact... planning a trip for Oct 28-Nov 3 next year and would love to catch a glimpse of Christmas before we leave!

That's what I thought, at MK at least... was hoping for confirmation from someone that was maybe just there :)

Park decorations - yes.

For the full effect for resorts and special events, thanksgiving week and after is recommended.

I believe November 1st actually, but don't quote me on that.

I do have to quote you to respond. ;)

It's not Nov. 1 (as that is also a date of the last MNSSHalloweenParty, in many years,) but MK will be decorated by 4-7 days LATER than that, as that's when the first MVMChristmasParty begins.

The rest of the parks and resorts will be in the process of being decorated during the time up until Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, on which date all decorations will be up, and all holiday festivities will be in full operation.

You might see some, but you might have to hunt. Three years ago we had a short trip that ended on November 19. The last morning we woke up in Wilderness Lodge, the tree had been put up overnight. As I recall, the Epcot tree was up. At MK, I think the wreaths were on the lamp posts on Main St., but I'm pretty sure the tree was not up (maybe they're doing it earlier now since I think they tape the Xmas parade earlier).

Nov 3 is a little too early to expect (m)any park or resort decorations. The MK will still have Halloween decor up until the last MNSSHP (either Oct 31 or Nov 1). Halloween and fall decor will start coming down immediately after the end of the last party and for the next week they will install holiday decor so if the last party is Oct 31 you might see a little bit of holiday by Nov 3. At Epcot they will not decorate for the holidays until after the end of Food & Wine which is usually around mid-November (this year it was Nov 14). The resorts are decorated gradually throughout November, but again, they don't start until a little later.

Thank ya'll! I would push our dates later to make sure we could see some Christmas, but our little girl will turn 3 while we are there and we want to be there for her Birthday :) thanks for all the info! If we get to see a little Christmas before we leave, that will just be an extra special surprise ;)

We arrived on 11/6 and Main Street was all decorated with the big tree, wreaths, and garland. It was so beautiful!

On 11/9, I saw them setting up the ginger bread display at the contemporary and then when we went to MK that day, the castle was all decorated. On our last day, 11/12, they were projecting lights on the castle. At one point it looked like it was all frozen and then another time it looked like a candy cane.

When we left on 11/13, our hotel (AKL) was not decorated and I do not remember seeing decorations in the other 3 parks during that week.

Thanks for the info!! :)

Epcot did not get decorated until after F&W was over. We left the 19th and all the parks had been decorated by then. Last day in Epcot was the 15th and the tree was not up yet, but the wreaths and garlands were.
We arrived the 5th an only MK had the tree.

We did 10/29-11/6 this year and by 11/2 there were some decorations at MK. The big tree was up, some wreaths and holly. We weren't expecting that as we went for MNSSHP so it was a nice surprise.

Main Street was pretty decorated by the 1st this year. More up by the second. Big tree by the first Christmas party.
