Christmas Decorations at WDW

Hi All!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My apologies if this has been discussed (I've looked for a thread and couldn't find one). Am I correct in thinking that decorations begin to come down around Jan. 2nd? I figured they are up through New Year's Day. Is this about right?

I would also think it's the same for any Holiday shows / parades / fireworks ...

Park decor will be up at least through January 4th. The Christmas parade and the Castle Lighting show are scheduled to end on December 31st. The Christmas stage shows and Jingle Cruise may run until the 4th.


Some of the Gingerbread displays are removed on or before January 1st. We were there on 1/1/2013 and BWI's display was gone and GF's was scheduled to be taken down beginning that day.

When we've gone in early January - usually making it in time for the last night of Osborne Lights (generally around the 5th/ 6th).... a lot to most hotel decorations are down or disappearing rapidly but most park decorations are up for a least a few days of our trip.

I've never seen a holiday parade in January
