Where do you get some of the cool decorations? We would like to decorate while we are there but don't know where to find Disney ones--especially Mickey.

:confused: ::MinnieMo :tink: :smickey:

In my neck of the woods, all of the stores that sell Christmas decorations seem to carry Disney related items.

The big inflatables are predominantly from a company named Gemmy. If you google Gemmy Air Blown Inflatables, you will find more sites than you could ever need selling the inflatables. There are lots of Disney ones out there.

Also, the trading posts at the Fort carry some nice decorations each year. Last year, they sold a lot of small mickey head light posts, and in years past, they have had other such items. Lately, they have had mickey head Christmas lights.

Good luck.

What kind of Mickey Head Light Post? Are these the kind you build yourself? I was there over Christmas this year and didn't see them...I would have bought one instead of building my own.

Whoops! Not a good description. Sorry.

The ones I am talking about were just like yard stakes in the shape of the outline of Mickey's head. About 2' high. I think they were red and white striped. Several came in a box.

You can also try eBay - lots of good stuff there sometimes too.

Or you can just get creative...
We'll be at FW the first 3 weeks of Dec and will be decorating for the first time. Last year after Christmas I hit up some clearance sales and found 3 prelit wreaths that will be just the right size to make a Mickey head once they're wired together. :goodvibes

Whatever you end up with, have fun!!:santa:

I found a couple of photos that had the light stakes that I was referring to in them.

This is what I was talking about:

Another source I forgot to mention is disneyshopping.com. Look at the outdoor decorations section-lots of neat stuff there.

We bought two sets last X-mas (about $45/set of five at the Meadows TP) and you can see them in the less than great pic of our site over Xmas last year and that was just one set.

I found the wires between them to be too short so I lengthened them so I can put them around 2' apart.

Here is a better pic of our site that's in focus :lmao: , but doesn't show the Micky "Canes" as good
