Christmas decorations are UP!

We were 'home" at BWV last week for a (very) few days for the Food & Wine Fest. When we walked downstairs on Friday to head out to the parks we realized the Christmas fairies had been there!! Two large Christmas trees in the lobby, garlands everywhere, the large tree on the Village green and garlands on the lightpoles along the Boardwalk. Nothing in Epcot itself yet. Sorry, don't know about the other resorts or parks. We never budged from all the goodies at Epcot.

YIKES!!! This seems a little bit early!!! I don't know, I'm having a tough time realizing the Holiday's are almost here... Well, we'll be there in a few weeks.....

You must have read my mind this morning! I was wondering whether any resorts had begun decorating yet and when we'd hear a report. Thanks for the update. (It does seem early....they used to do it "overnight" Thanksgiving before WDW got so big. Thanksgiving is still 2 weeks away.)

You think thsi is early?!? Santa is ALREADY at my mall and he came last Friday!!!
I'm avoiding that area of the mall with my kids. I think that stinks. Takes away from soem of the excitement in my opinion for them to see him so early.
As for WDw though, I think it is nice. It is a little different situation. Although, once we went for New years and it seemed odd to me how long the Christmas stuff was up. Like, Christmas already seemed so long ago and the excitemnt of it was already over. I was ready for Christmas decorations to be gone.

Our mall just started erecting the trees!! What happened to you would show up at the mall the day before Thanksgiving and nothing then show up the day after - and whammo!!! Its Christmas! But I have to admit, since I will be at OKW from 11/18-12/3, my 11 year old dd panicked that I would not put up my Dept 56 x-mas village, so she assembled it yesterday on her day off from school, I thought about putting a sheet over my entire hutch, but it is pretty!!! Early, but pretty!

It's early here too! Santa showed up at all our malls this weekend (1 mall yesterday, the others today) and, we have TWO radio stations that are already playing continuous Christmas music!

Next thing you know, they'll start putting up decorations at midnight after Halloween!

I think there is a schedule on wdw.com that will tell when the decorations will be done at the world. We were there 11/7 -11/11 and the Poly was decorated and the morning of the 11th we were getting ready to leave from the GF and they had started putting up theirs. They had some of the smaller trees already up the garland strung and the were in the process of putting up the large center tree. Really neat. They have it on a pully and they start with the top of the tree and work their way down. It was really neat. Wish I could have seen the finished tree, but we had to get on the road to come home.

The Christmas fairies were busy our night at VB and the lobby looked great after they were done and the BWV/BWI lobby was quite pretty as well

I like having the decorations up - it helps to offset the short short days this time of year and brighten things up

When we were also leaving BWV's on Friday morning (11.7) we were also surprised to see all the Christmas decorations up. Looks like the little elves were working hard the night prior. They were so beautiful. With all the decorations up they were also playing Christmas music. After seeing those decorations we made resv's to come back (cash not points) Dec/04 (wish it was this Dec).
