Christmas decorations. Am I the only guy...

Are you talkin' outdoors or indoors or both? What you need is a child. Children make it more fun!!!

My DH hates it also.
Especially when some of the lights go out after they up!

And the blow up Santa & Snowman. They keep on falling down, and may have a early death.

Call me crazy, but I love putting them up! It's my wife who typically dislikes the whole decorating thing and, with a spiked eggnog in hand, prefers to watch. There's something about doing something for your family that makes them happy and puts them in the holiday spirit that no amount of hard work can dampen. Besides, get me up on the roof with a ladder, 5000' of strung twinkle lights, and an industrial strength roll of duct tape and I'm a happy camper!

It drives DH crazy to have to put up the lights. This year he didn't complain so much because our 2.5 old son really loves the lights.
He did get upset though when I cried and had him take down the new LED lights becusae they didn't match.

I do what I'm told too, but the secret is to love doing what you have to do anyway. I make it a personal project to do a better job each year. But I admit that stringing lights on the foliage in the bitter cold gets old quickly.

No, you're not alone. My DH hates putting them up also, and we don't even have THAT MANY to put up!!

It's worse when it's bad weather. Thankfully this year it was unseasonally warm and he was able to put them up not even wearing a coat so he didn't grumble quite as much as he usually does.

Until this year my DH has never really helped with the outdoor decorations, usually because of his work.
But this year he did help and he went crazy with it!! Clark Griswald crazy!!!! We have so many light up it's just crazy.
And he still have one more blow up decoration to put out but it's been too cold here to deal with it.

I don't hate putting them up....I hate taking them down.
