christmas decorations 2017?!

So planning trip for approx Oct 27-Nov 4th 2017.

Will the parks be decorated for Christmas then? Also will the resorts?

Unlikely. Realize that Halloween decorations will be up until Oct. 31 so they won't start decorating until the first Christmas Party gets close.

Yes hotels will take a while but Mk should get their Christmas decor rather quickly after Oct. 31st.

This, the MK park will start getting them right after the last MNSSHP, and the resorts just start to get them whenever the crews get around to it. Could be the first or second week of November. MK is always the first priority. And even then all of MKs decorations don't happen overnight. They take about a week to 10 days.

If I remember correctly, it took Magic Kingdom a while to transition from Halloween to Christmas last year. Maybe I'm thinking of two years ago, but I think it had to do in large part to the new decorations on Main Street and the holly.

On the bright side: I've heard Halloween is awesome at Disney and you'll be there for F&W!

It takes about a week (and disney parks blog has posted videos of this) for MK to be switched over but they do not put up the xmas tree until after the xmas parade is filmed. most years that was first week of dec, last year that was middle of november.

resorts will fill in over the month of nov. Parks wise, epcot being last not starting until after food and wine is over (mid nov)..

If everything decorated are the goal of your trip, you want to come no early than thanksgiving.

Christmas decorations show up in MK the night after the last Halloween party. Last year they put up the tree early, too...I believe.

MK will transition to Christmas while you are there, but the other parks and resorts won't have anything up yet. We arrived Nov. 3 last year and we were able to see decorations at MK because the Christmas parties started that next weekend.
