Christmas Decor ?

How early should one expect the resorts to be completely decorated for Christmas?

I remember going very early one December (2000), and the decor was sparse in the resorts and at the parks. I really don't think our trip included the last couple of days of Nov, but maybe it did. (My mind is terrible. ) Anyway, I just remember being very disappointed because they were not fully decorated although we had been told the decor went up just after Thanksgiving.

I thought I started reading last year that the resorts were being decorated a couple of days before thanksgiving and that the parks were done over night on Thanksgiving so that the next day they were decorated.

We went the first week in december in 2004 and they were all completely decorated.

Oh, I hope you're right, septbride2002!

Due to some Christmas-related church events, I need to reschedule our vacation dates, and I have really mixed emotions about this. I've been SO looking forward to a long-over-due WDW visit during the holidays, and I just hope the new dates won't result in us missing out on the full Christmas effect. (New dates: Nov. 27 - Dec. 4th)

...most of the decorations are up, at the resorts and in the parks.

We visited BWI in mid-November a couple years back. Went to bed one night, no decorations anywhere; the next morning EVERYTHING was up -- lights, trees, wreaths, the whole nine yards.

We went last year from Dec.2-7 and everything was decorated and all holiday events such as the candlelight processional and MVMCP were going on. I absolutely loved going at that time not so crowded and great weather.
