Christmas Decor Tour Suggestions

Hello all! I've been doing a lot of research planning to tour resorts and see the Christmas decor on our arrival day in December. Based on what I've read on varying sites, I'm reading to basically only see Deluxe resorts. Below is my plan, looking for honest and open critiques, suggestions of other Disney resorts to see, etc.

We will be arriving at our resort (ASMu) around 4-5pm. Will be on QS dining plan so will grab supper somewhere along the way.

Depart ASMu for AK
Take bus from AK to AKL
Take bus back to AK
Board new bus to HS
Take boat from HS to see Beach & Yacht
Return to HS
Take bus to MK
Take bus to WL
Take Bus to MK
Take monorail to see Poly, Contemporary, Grand & Bay Lake

We are doing it in this order because I see us having supper at one of the monorail resort quick service restaurants. So suggestions there welcome as well.

I just would hate to come home and have someone tell me "oh you should have walked over to ASSports it has the cutest tree" or something like that. Hahaha

There's no reason to take a bus from AKL to AK, then take a bus from AK to HS, then boat from HS to Yacht and Beach Club. Just take a bus from AKL to DHS, then take the boat to Y&B (or walk).

There's also no need to go back to HS after checking out Y&B (I would also check out the Boardwalk resort) - just take a bus directly to MK. I would then do the monorail resorts first, then take the boat to WL (you can do this from the Contemporary - no need to go back to MK).

I think though that you might be trying to squeeze too many in one day since you're starting at 4-5pm. I've toured all those resorts in one day (well, except for AKL, because I do that on my AK day), but I start in the morning and go to late afternoon.

Thanks! I think my brain short circuited and forgot there were buses at those resorts!

Do you think with any of them it makes a difference seeing them during the day vs seeing at night? I could always do half arrival evening and half the next day before Mvmcp. It isn't a park day so we wouldn't be going in until 4pm.

I'm not really sure it makes much of a difference going during the day versus night since the lobbies are going to be well-lit. But since you're not going to the park the next day except for MVMCP, I would do AKL and the Epcot resorts on your arrival night (maybe have dinner at the Mara) and then do the MK resorts just before going to the party.
