Can anyone tell me if there are any nice restaurants open on christmas day on I Drive, I don't really fancy doing the parks - too hectic. Any response would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There wasnt much open. A good compromise would be a hotel restaurant (they seemed to be operating as normal). Disney has some lovely ones, and you dont need to be a guest or need a park ticket! Thats what we did, and it worked very well.

To give you an idea, even the 24 hour, 24-7 Macdonalds was closed Christmas day! I think there may have been a Ponderosa open, but god forbid you would want to eat there Christmas Day (or any other day for that matter!). Oh, Denny's was open as well :teeth: .

We are planning to eat Christmas dinner at Ohanas in the Polynesian Resort :)

At least there is turkey on the menu :)

Tim we had Ohanas on the 2 Christmas Days we have spent in Orlando, great place for dinner.

Christmas Day in Disney... I can only dream for the moment!
Have a great time!

We ate at LTT when we went at Christmas in 1997 - it was the nearest thing to a traditional Christmas dinner and was delicious with great character interaction.

I think you've made a good choice.

We are staying at the Beach Club Villas and plan to eat at Cape May on Christmas day. We don't want to hit the parks either!!

Decisions, decisions.... looks like we will be hitting one of the lovely disney hotels then :earsboy: it's just a shame we have to wait a little bit longer till we are able to make a PS.

Thanks guys. :earboy2:

Ate at Hyatt Grand Cypress in 2003 on Christmas day.... Fantastic all you can eat buffet.... Great quality.
This year thinking about the hard rock Cafe, Not traditional but if we wanted traditional we would stay in UK.
