Looking for suggestions on what to do Christmas Day if we decide not to do a park day (Due to crowds)? Apart from staying by the pool (hoping the weather is good) what would you do? We have a lunch time reservation only. Bookings are filling up fast. Travelling with 2 kids aged 9 and 7.
Thanks

We have chosen to do the suicide run and go to MK that day, we have ressies for dinner at BOG! Yikes! I know we won't even be able to move around but it will be interesting.

Take a tour of the decorations at Fort Wilderness! Daytime or night time, those people really go all out!!!

Take the opportunities at the resorts.

FW is a great place at Xmas. The campers decorate their sites. The hayride or renting a golf cart is an excellent way to get a view of this. Visit the Disney horses at the Tri Circle D ranch and petting zoo, bike or canoe the area. Enjoy the leisurely walk from FW to WL.

We have also done Disneyquest and a movie at AMC.

We did AK on Christmas day and it really wasn't bad. We attended the 8am Catholic mass at the contemporary, had a 9am ADR for Chef Mickey's, then bused to AK. We didn't arrive at AK till almost 11! We were still able to ride EE twice, take in FOTLK show, ride dinosaur, and tough to be a Bug. The only major thing we didn't do was the safari. We left AK just before 4pm. Then had dinner at our resort, WL. We had plans to go to MK after dinner, but decided to just enjoy the lodge since we were moving to OKW the next day.

So if you decide to go for a park day I suggest AKL. Otherwise it would be a great day to spend checking out all the resort decorations. We have spent the better part of a day doing that on a few trips during the holidays.

Start out at Epcot. we did the princess breakfast , then went on a lot of things. EVERYONE will be at MK for open, so for at least a little while it won't be to bad. After say 11, its going to be bad.

With XMAS falling on a Thursday, its difficult to say how bad it will be on the days leading up to xmas to give you a primer. last time we did xmas, it was on a Thursday and 17-24 were ghost towns, but 25-27 it would take us 45 minutes just to get up main street.
