Christmas Day

Anything but the Magic Kingdom! We've done AK on Christmas Day and it was practically empty.

Epcot can be crowded, but at least it's big enough to fit a lot of people. Just don't count on doing a whole lot while you're there except for maybe people watching.

I haven't tried MGM on Christmas, and I've heard enough horror stories about MK to avoid it like the plague.

Edited to add: my biggest tip for Christmas Day is.... no matter which park you choose, get there early! Be at the gate at least 30 minutes prior to opening. So many other people take time to wake up, open presents, etc. By about noon the lines at the gates and buses are crazy.

We spent Christmas Day at MK two years ago and were crowdless most of the day. Of course, it poured from about 11 am on the entire day and was in the mid- to low-40s as well.

I'm curious to see other people's reponse to this one who have been at WDW on a non-rain Christmas Day. We'll be there again this year and right now I have MK on my list for the day but am still seriously considering trying another park.

We did Epcot this Christmas and I was pleasantly surprised. We did not get there until 11:00 AM and thought the crowds would already be imposing...not the case :thumbsup2 !!! Was it crowded? Yes - but to be honest I have seen worse.

Now, with that said, I am very glad we had ADR's since it didn't look as if too many people were getting in (if at all) without them. Also had tickets to the 5:00 PM Candelight Processional and when we got there at 4:00 to get in line, it was MASSIVE! If you were in the standby line - good luck!

We ate at Alfredo's for dinner (right after Candelight Processional) and it was PACKED! We were seated rather promptly and had a delicious meal and a delightful evening!

I would definately vote for Epcot!

Good Luck and enjoy your holiday! I hope to get back someday for Christmas, but the only reason we got to go this year was due to Katrina flooding our house, so I won't be hoping for that to happen again!

MK has been a nightmare on Christmas. We have spent the last 6 Christmas season there and MK is always packed. Granted to entire resort is busy, but we bypass MK on Christmas Day. We tend to do Epcot or MGM.

Often MK is closed early in the day due to people overload! Stay Away, unless you really like big crowds and very long lines

Are we talking New Year's Eve crowded? On our Christmas trip two years ago there were wall-to-wall people from about lunchtime on at MK.

You guys have me thinking we'd be better suited to change our Christmas Day plans and head to another park. The lack of crowds we experienced two years ago must have been in direct correlation to the cold, rainy day.
