Christmas Day Parade

We are arriving on Christmas Eve and are very excited about spending Christmas in WDW. I know that there is a Christmas Day Parade broadcast on Christmas morning, however when I looked up the days events, the parade is scheduled for 2pm. Does anyone have info about this parade and is it open to all guests or is it a special "closed set" type of event? Thank you. I apologize if this question was posted in the wrong area.

The parade that will be shown on TV was actually taped earlier this month. Someone around here will know the exact date, I'm sure.

ah, so that's why Regis and Kelly went to Disney a few weeks ago. I was hoping that it was just a little pre-Christmas Parade preparations. I'm sure that we will have a great time anyway...Thanks!

The parade wes taped December 6th. We were there but passed on being in MK that day. Were told the crowds would be huge and you watch the same thing being taped over and over.

I like my parades live and prefer the nighttime version at MVMCP

It was actually taped, piecemeal, over the 5th and 6th, and due to the snow storm up north, and his not being able to get there, the Regis parts were taped on the 7th. Edited all together, it will look live Christmas morning.

I think on friday ???? I was there with regis & kelli they where taping the end of the parade that day. they came out to talk to us and shake hands. I was standing by there fan club in white t shirts. the fan club and most of the people around me were dis employees. it was still nice. I had always thought it was live !!!!
