Christmas Day Lunch

Evening Folks,

This is my first post to the message board...have been a casual reader for the last few months.

First visited Florida in April this year after winning an auction on mytravel.com. We enjoyed it that much that we went again in August and I have today won another auction (£510 for two of us for a week!!) departing on 19th December.

So to the point of the message. Basically I am after off resort recommendations for Christmas Day Lunch. Preferably a traditional lunch but not compulsary. Are many places open on Christmas Day?

hello

we went last christmas and had cristmas dinner at the b-line diner at the peabody hotel

by the way we had decided to go to the magic kingdom for christmas day, we got there about 11 am and it was already full we were not allowed in. so we went to universal instead.

Welcome to the boards ! You have done really well for that price at the auction!! What does the price include?

I'm moving you onto the UK Trip Planning board where I hope you'll get more suggestions.

They don't tend to serve a traditional UK-type Christmas lunch as such, and I would suggest that you do try to book something asap.

Thanks for the feedback...i'll try and get something sorted.

The package is a fly-drive including 2A accommodation...probably be a Travelodge which although not the best will do the job.

We have booked at the Gaylord Palms buffet brunch for 2.00pm - it runs until 3.00pm on Christmas Day.

I have seen this or Renaissance most recommended.

I did try and cook tradtional christmas lunch one year - complete disaster! Gravy was revolting, so am not trying that again. Having a christmas lunch at home next week before we go.

After lunch we are off to the cinema to see one of the new films and may nip into Universal for a go on a few rides if there is time.
