I need to book a meal for Christmas Day. My son wants it to be a character meal. Where have you eaten in WDW for Christmas day? What do you recommend? What do you NOT recommend?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Sandiebean

We are also staying for xmas day and are planning on doing the Crystal Palace, although a lot of people really rate the Liberty tree Tavern, but we just love the quality of food in CP and the atmosphere....just waiting now till Oct to do the PS's

My vote would be for either LIberty Tree Tavern or Cinderella's Royal Table.

We did 1900PF breakfast on New Year's Day and highly recommend it. Characters are Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, Belle(I think it's usually Alice) and Mary Poppins was at check in. Great place them off to the park via monorail. We did dinner at Liberty Tree on Christmas day 1999 and it was traditional turkey dinner with all fixin and mac and cheese. Mickey Minnie Goofy in colonial costumes. We had PS and still waited 40 minutes. MK did close to visitors around 3pm that day so if you make the PS, be sure to get to park and stay..do not park hop. A PS will not get you admission if park is closed due to crowds.

Those are good tips, thanks. I had been thinking of 1900.. but heard it was just Pooh and Tigger. I like them.. but they aren't my son's favourites. That's a possibility. Liberty Tree Tavern.. we went there for my birthday a few years ago. It was just ok at the time. They sprinkled the table with mickey heads, and they were nice. But it wasn't one that any of us had a super time at. I was thinking of not going into the parks on Christmas day, due to the crowds. I'm not sure what I'll do. :D

Hey Sandie, I seem to be following your Christmas threads around these boards today, LOL!

We always have a big Christmas breakfast at my parents house, so that is why we are going for breakfast as our big meal of the day instead of dinner(that will be Christmas Eve). While our first choice is Cindys, I highly doubt we will get that so I am planning on Chef Mickeys, our second choice.

:) :D That's true, isn't it! I didn't even think of Christmas Eve! Hmmmm. That's a dilemma.

Wow. Cindy's at Christmas morning. How amazing would THAT be!!!!!

I know! The funny thing is I didnt even think of it. We have 2 DSs, and only went to Cindys when we took my nieces with us last summer. My kids arent big on the princesses, but I loved the food there and the castle was cool. So while I was telling DH our plan for CMs, he suggested we try for Cindys that day. I was shocked that he cared, LOL!

As for Christmas Eve we hope to do the Candlelight Processional package that night, with dinner at Le Cellier. Ive heard lots of great reviews on that so I thought this would be the perfect chance to try it.

Christmas will be here before we know it!!!
:D

Hi all. We were at Disney last year for CHristmas. Christmas at Disney is magical--a wonderful experience. Please be aware though that dining Christmas eve and Christmas day can be a trying experience. We ate dinner Christmas Day at 1900 Park Faire. It was a disaster. Even with PS we waited 1 hr 30 minutes to be seated. It was packed. Characters were exhausted and not in playing mood.Food was OK-nothing special except for deserts which were out of this world. Just be perpared for the wait.
We had ps at Cindys for Christmas morning. Wonderful! The park becomes a madhouse around 10:00 a.m. They bring people in on double decker buses. Candlelight dinner at Le Cellier was perfect! It was our most favorite Christmas activity. Try the cheese soup and the Chocolate mousse. Hope this helps somewhat!
