christmas day at disney

I am considering doing a trip for the week of christmas. problem is that we will not be able to get there on the 22nd for MVMCP. that's very upsetting to me as we absolutely love it!
Anyway, I was just wondering if there are any extra special things that happen at Disney World on Christmas eve or Christmas day.
What number should I call if I want a tree in my room?

If you want a tree, buy an inexpensive artificial one, and bring it with you. I got a $16.00 6-footer last year at Target. I brought it as checked luggage (just tied twine around the box to carry it) and decorated it once we got there. Also, if you check these boards around Christmas, you will find a "tree exchange"--folks leave their trees at the varioud resorts for other guests, as they leave and the others arrive. In fact, when we checked out (Dec 27th, AFTER Christmas) Mousekeeping asked us to keep our tree box (we had it in the rubbish pile) and said as long as we kept the box they would put the tree back in it and save it for guests NEXT Christmas!!

We bought our tree with us & lights for the DDs to decorate our balcony at BCV. I'm sure that you can order a tree from the Disney Florist. All of the resorts have various activities on Christmas Eve. . .the lists will be available when you check in. Santa visited BCV last year as well as Mickey in his Christmas clothes. There was wonderful apple cider & sugar cookies. We loved just touring all the resorts last year to see the Christmas decorations. We also attended the Candelight Processional on Christmas Night & stayed for the Christmas Illuminations. Christmas Eve we ate at LTT & stayed for the Christmas Wishes.

So, for the tree exchange, you can request to have your tree sent to a guest that is coming in after you? That is really cool!
