Aisling: For some reason I can picture the whole event. Those poor children scared for life. :rotfl2:

Tigg: Did the chicken come in the mail yet? Did the box arrive?

Lazy day for us today. What an event yesterday. We clearly were pooped, Paul and I *both* slept in until 11am. That's a mircle, Paul is always up early. (me, not so) He's out getting the ladder from our rental to hang our Xmas lights. I told him either we do it now or never. Good thing he agreed to now.

So, the Big Skj Dis Bon Voyage Party has been scrapped. I'm just too over whelmed with thinking of packing to have my house clean and ready for guests. Perhaps we'll do one after we get home. That way we can bore everyone with our stories of our crazy new DIS friends.

Do people look at you oddly when you tell them that you've made friends on a chat board? I tend to really try to not talk too much about you all as when I mention you I get strange looks.

Well, finished downloading pics so off to hang those lights...

See ya,

Nan

Love the PINS!!!!

My Mom, Son, Daughter, Stefanie and I thank you and your family for thinking of us on your last trip to DL :grouphug: :worship:

Mom says Love it, Stef said Cool!, Brittany said Awwww, Eeyore  Adrian says awesome! He really likes the fact that it's from DisneyLand and I love my tigger :) My Tigger's even holding a picture of all his friends in his hand, nice touch guys...

WHAT A CUTE PUPPY! (yes, this from a cat person)
Well...EXTREMELY productive day, although we have yet to drag the Xmas decor up from the basement, and working out just does NOT sound appealing. Weird weather here...tornado watch, plus snow warnings just a couple hours west! Go figure!
Well, went to Michaels and finally nailed down what to do for our swap. Was gonna cop out and buy something simple, but I think w/ the kids help we can whip our little projects out. And they are nice & small!
Went through gifts...VERY little shopping left to do! Would actually like to go NOW...and may, yet, to get most of it DONE. Groceries or Xmas gifts....awww, we can eat mac & cheese for a few days!
Nan--trying to decide on Xmas lights around here. The weather may have decided it for me! Plus Dan mentioned would we be a burglar magnet w/ no lights on for 2 weeks??!! (not much to take around here...computer w/ my pics would be worst loss!) I am also considering a New Year letter AFTER the cruise....
Well, better go tan before closing time!
TTFN!
Kris

We got our flight info. We leave at 6:50 (not too bad), and arrive at 12:10--not too bad either. I'm guessing we should be on board by 2:00 barring any delays. We DO NOT fly through O'hare on the way, thank goodness!!!
HOW AM I GOING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE?????!!!!! :confused3

OMG what a cute little baby doggie! You're so good to let another dog into the family. I went to the petfinders site, and what a great site it is. Found what appears to be the perfect pup for our lifestyle, started with the adoption, and then the kids had second thoughts. Mel was totally against it, but would have gone along with it...he's not a believer of animals in the house, but we are! Chad and Jesse have been begging for years for a dog, and now that I made the decision to do it, they feel it would be too much of a change with the responsibility involved. At least we all were honest and they admitted it now instead of getting the puppy and then not being gung-ho about it. But I had a ball looking at that website. Thank you for letting me know about it.

Did you see a couple of the kids are trying to start a teen thread again? I wish them luck. Jesse posted a few times, seems interested, but we'll see if he keeps it up.

I'm going to run over to Casey's for a while...family is fed, HW done, laundry done for tomorrow's clothes, so I'm going to hang out with my best bud. He's doing well, thank God a million times.

I'll be on later! Wait'll you see the signs I've been making for all of you! I hope hope hope you like them!
BBL alligator! :sunny:

I'm gonna decorate next weekend when I have two days off in a row :)

My outside lights will have a light sensor/timer on them-totally automatic...they go on at dusk and off in however many hours I set it for -up to daybreak.

With hubby and son staying home for the holiday I won't have to worry about the animal care. When we go to the beach in the summer both dogs will go with us and the neighbor, my sis or my Mom will take care of the cat and the beta fish. :cat: :fish:

John promised Britt the dog four years ago she finally found opportunity at the right price (free) and a dog that is the right size. She truly wanted a small dog.

Petfinders is good but when I tried to use them they refused us because Mika (our Akita) isn't fixed. She's a champion purebred and we wanted to keep the option of breeding her open but petfinders didn't agree with that. Britt's other g'mom found the puppy thru a friend, we were told of this the day she brought Penny home.

I only had today off because we were supposed to have the meet today...I never told the boss we cancelled today cause I really needed the day either way...I am pooped...

ask Mom, she came over for dinner - John made a turkey - and I am still in my pj's yawning my fool head off *and* I woke up at like 2pm today..

back to work tomorrow but I am off on Friday and Saturdays from here on :)

I was eyeballing some gifts but have yet to do any real shopping...there's so much to do ine the next 3 weeks but I am soooo ready for this cruise.

Goodnight all  tty tomorrow~ :moped:

Call me clueless where is the picture of the dog? How did I miss it?

You're all welcome for the pins. It was fun looking for them.

We did the lights and now off to Home Depot for pansies. I'm grabbing laborers again tomorrow to have them planted. I admit in my old(er) age I just need the help. Used to be we'd kill oursleves working on theyard all weekend, not anymore. Now we have fun places to do and things to do, but it's still nice having a yard that looks good.

Off to the store and din din.

Later,

Nan

ok never mind, I found the dog pics. Quite a difference between the two
eh? Does the big one mind the little one intruding?

Ended up not making it to Home Depot, when the sun goes down it gets cold, cold, cold...so we did an early dinner at Carrows and called it a night. Now home to relax and unwind (yeah like we had such a stressful weekend, ha)

I go see if I can upload from Costco to photobucket and then try to post my famous red dress pic...

Back in a bit.

So here we are (and no I'm not expecting, just fat) :rotfl2: didn't bother to put on the girdle to model, so hopefully it will look a little smoother than this for the actual night. (ya right) :rotfl:

Well ya get the idea of what it is now.

I hope we can get hair appointments for that afternoon now!!!!

Question of the day....

Are you bringing anything other than cash to have for tips?

Off for the night, see ya tomorrow.

Nan

It is COLD here...half of the state has closed due to blizzards. Just flurries hear, but 50mph winds....I did NOT want to get out of bed. Seriously considered a mental health day, considering no students today. But I am here. Haven't gotten anything done yet....
OK, I like Xmas music, but my fav station is doing it 24/7---I need a bit of variety in my life! So listening to the "teen" hip station...I don't like all of it either, but cannot pick up many stations from my room for some reason.
Nan---LOVE the dress! (aren't girdles a great thing??!!) I keep looking...but the one hanging in my closet is still my fav. Of course this weekend has set me back a bit---I'm still full! Tough to find dresses that are Vneck, not a halter, no spaghetti straps!
Well, I guess I better get to work!
Kris

Hi Franco: I was just telling my hubby about you starting the thread last night. Sorry you aren't cruising with us, but there has been a rumor that you may be onsite before we leave. Any chance to join us in a mini meet?

Thanks for the well wishes.

TORI: HAPPY BIRTHDAY

:bday: :rockband: :cheer2: :jumping1: :thewave:

Enjoy the day.

Nan

Boy, I missed the 30 day dance!

24 days 20 hours 24 minutes 59 seconds or
3 weekends or
25 days or
596 hours (397 waking hours) or
35,784 minutes or
2,147,098 seconds

I've been so preoccupied with Bella :moped: and the new house, I haven't been giving the cruise much of my attention. I went to make PS for NYE just now, and almost everything is booked up (duh!). I decided to spend NYE in Epcot (just couldn't deal with the crowds at MK). I wanted to dine at Coral Reef, but settled for Alfredo's.

Man, I forgot I was going to get new shoes for my tux - seems like I had all the time in the world! Now it's just about 3 weeks away! Sheesh!

Oh well, back to trying to figure out what else I forgot to do...

I love the DL pin. You are so thoughtful.

I love the sparklys on your dress & the wee one looks real sweet.

Tips. In addition to the certificate you can give each of your servers & the person that does your room. You can give them other things. In addition to the tip - I brought a couple of rolls of quarters for the laun & gave the room att one. I also gave him what was left of my kamakazie mix.

This is what the passporter guide says:
The drink servers & bartenders - if no tip was automatically added 10% to `15%
Room Service - Your discretion (usually $1 to $2/person)
Palo server - Your discretion (on top of the $10/person service charge)

what's a laun?

I also gave him what was left of my kamakazie mix.

What's a kamakazie mix?

I've read about phone cards, since I've also read that tips get pooled and divided. It's nice to think that someone that gives extra good service can get an extra good tip, but if they are pooled that doesn't happen.

Thoughts???

Glad ya like the pin.

Sparkle plenty that's me!

N

nan, I know this, woo hoo!

laun is laundry, and kamakazi is an alcoholic beverage.
