Lovely Thanksgiving..and the festivities continue today w/ football, soup & leftovers! I was very good yesterday, until after a few glasses of wine I began to assist w/ supper clean up & someone had brought dip...bacon, cheddar & cream cheese...clear someone's plate...take a bite...wash a couple of dishes...take a bite...after several bites, I excused myself for fear I would eat the whole thing! YUMMY!
Watched Xmas w/ the Kranks & Survivor today...then heavy duty cruise talk. One couple is bringing 1 year old & 2 1/2 year old on the ship & we discussed packing...at least she appreciated my research efforts! Looks like she may have Shirley at theperfectgift.cc do a beach toy basket for the boys.
Some sad news on the home front...but it could be worse. Some good friends of my brother's house burned to the ground yesterday. Luckily no one at home. But she does run a daycare from their home. But I am glad they are OK. Good friends of our lost his parents in an Xmas morning fire 2 years ago. They just lived down the street from his parents and the neighbors came and got him at 3AM Xmas morning...sadly no smoke detectors (and this in a very well-to-do neighborhood!). Hope this isn't one of those things that comes in threes...
Tig--I think those are the cutest puppies! This from a cat person! (I can't spell it either!) And yes those were tears of joy! Kranks got me a bit weepy, too, at the end!
4 weeks from today I will be packing.....
Happy bday Tori!
Congrats Nan & Paul!
Happy pre-packing everyone else!
Dan & I may be the most dressed up person in our group! They are all balking at ties & jackets...looks like a lot of polos & khakis even for formal night! I was worried Dan would take this as permission to leave his suit at home, but he insists he is still taking it. (ok, now he said maybe just his navy jacket..I'm OK w/ that, I bought it last year at 75% off and he has yet to wear it!) I'm glad, cuz Hailey & I will be decked out. I think BIL/SIL that are attorneys will be dressed up...they do a lot of dressy activities. Who knows. Heck, the boys might be the most dressed up in trop shirts instead of polos! Luckily MIL is insisting on khakis & collared shirts for dinner...most would be happy to dine in shorts! (funny, many dressed up somewhat for dinner yesterday!)
Well, haven't read the boards yet...should go check it out!
Have a great weekend everyone!
