Christmas Cruising 2005

linkie no work for me either...and I tried to cut and paste and couldn't find the nav page on dulmtd

Nan

Life is getting too busy to post I suppose that is good since we are close close close to CRUISING!!!!!

Thanks for clueing me in...LYMI!
Link didn't work for me, either, but found it yesterday in the DCL forum. It is the dreamsunlimited site, so you should be able to find them there. There were a few changes from the navs I have from spring or last Dec.
Ran to Kohls on way to work...trying a one piece body suit (looks like a swimsuit) to maybe use under dinner dresses instead of..er....what old ladies (LIKE ME) use under dresses to make everything look nicer...flatter....WHATEVER (ok a girdle...) Maybe this will work better....so extra skin (or whatever) is smoothed instead of popping up over the top! (SORRY GRIM...TMI, I'm sure!)
Gotta get underwater cameras (I like those for beach...safer both from sand & water, and if it were lost or stolen I wouldn't freak. they truly are waterproof!)
and tennies for Jack. I THINK I have everything...
I think I know what I am doing for swap...simple...inexpensive...
Well, lunch is over...gotta run!
Kris
FIVE AND A HALF WEEKS TO GO!! :cool1:

For whatever reason the DIS doesn't like dreams unlimited travel's site :confused3

I'm only popping in for a minute, if you want the link I can email it to you later tonight-Tori and Nan-lemme know. Nan, my lazy friend-I am sure you want it emailed.

Kris, don't forget to put your name on those cameras-sharpie markers hold up pretty well. I'll be buying some for myself, soooo much safer than sand in my digital ;)

TTFN, cj.

Hey, all. Welcome Susan.

How much were your underwater cameras? I just am looking for a comparison of what is a good price vs. what is a great price! Feeling MUCH better today.

With regards to decorating the veranda, our very own Jim wrote on another thread that stuff put on the veranda will most likely end up in Davy Jones' locker. Just FYI from an experienced cruiser/travler. I thought I might put stuff on the veranda when in port.

I am getting so VERY excited. Just got our flight info ... why didn't I do more research and leave the night before??? We have a 6:45am flight on 12/24. This means we are leaving home at 4am! We shoudl be in at the port around 11am. Wake us up at the sail away party!

SIL, MIL, BIL (amazingly) and nieces had a great time. They said it was rough, however. I am hoping for smooth sailing because I get motion sick easily. Can't do sim rides or be in a car any where other than the front seat!

Loved Palo brunch but were not impressed with dinner. Loved the shows. They did the Western so their excursion info wouldn't help us! The kids didn't do a lot in the kids club, mostly because I am sure no one took the time to go through the navigator with them - sad but the kids would rather go wtih us than their own mother and father. But what they did do, they loved. Loved CC.

MIL has a broken ankle and is now in a walking cast. The wrist is not broken!

Heyy everyone! Yeah the cruise is ghetting so close!!! I cannot wait! My mom finally found a dress and I had to find another one too but it's all a-okay now! I am really sorta bummed right now though b/c 2 of my friends are leaveing TOMORROW for their cruise thats leaving Saturday! It's a tragedy! hehe But we always call each other from the sail away party while we still have phone service! And of course theres the internet. I am hoping my parents will let me get that to talk to my friends at home. Well i have to go to volleyball have a MAGICAL night!!

yes please email me the link. I really did try to find it, just techno changelled (sp) I wish this board had spell checker. I'm so lazy at typing.

so, off to Costco for Ham for T-day. The next generation is taking on the duties in our family. YEAH!!!!! No more family parties at my house. Not that I don't like them, or anything, I'm just ready to relax.

check ya later,

N

Hi All!

Welcome Susan! :flower:

Karen-the free pills that they have at the infirmary really knock out the motion sickness. Pop a couple with a coke, and I'm back in action (after a short nap) :confused3 I'm also hoping for smooth seas. I was miserable my first 24 hours onboard our first cruise. I might just take two before I get onboard so that I can take a short nap before the sail away party if I have to. I don't want to miss any of this cruise!

Today I found out that one of my students is going to be on the cruise with us. At least he thinks its the same cruise. I'll find out for sure tomorrow. That means I can't get wild and crazy! hehe

Time for dinner!

Bye for now :wave2:

Ah, but the good news is, you can go places he can't! What happens in the over 18 section - stays in the over 18 section!!!

Right you are, Karen! ;)

Actually, he's a really good kid, and his Dad (haven't met Mom) seemed really cool at Open House this year. The student is a 7th grader and has a sister who is in high school, so my guess is that Mom and Dad will be hanging out in the adult areas some, too.

getting excited!! :cheer2: :earboy2:

just a quickie before heading to bed (hey, minds out of the gutter...or maybe just mine is! :rotfl: )
I used Fuji waterproof cameras on our last cruise...I dunno, under $10 each. I was really astounded at the quality of photos! And I know that baby was under the water a lot as I ascended Dunn's River Falls. (Tig--GREAT idea to sharpie our name on them. Kind of an Oh, duh, why didn't I think of that??!!)

Shirley.....Shirley...where are you Shirley??(GRIM!) You so funny Mr. Grim.

Well, I have a "formal" observation tomorrow by my principal, so should have a good nights sleep. Not really nervous...guess after 15 years (and a principal who visits our rooms often..) I figure I pretty much know what I am doing!

Funny how some people (who shall remain nameless) still have large siggies...and others get busted...age discrimination??!! :confused3

Well...Scouts for both kids tomorrow night, and then Dan & I have set up sitters for BOTH nights this weekend...that fav band is playing, and we are going dancing all weekend, kids! WOO HOO! Getting warmed up for a little cruise ship dancing....

Night everybody....( I just tried to do goodnights a la the Waltons...but it looked stupid, so I deleted it)
Kris

No one has posted since I did last night...we are almost on the second page!
CANNO LET THAT HAPPEN!
Well, wacko day...figured I needed a beer more than a workout! Oh, well, today is another day!
Bumping up here?
Kris

Ok
Jill The drill sgt here. OK EVERYBODY LET'S GET BUSY POSTING THEM POSTS. DO YOU HEAR ME.

Oh well = it sounded good.

Hi all!

Still at school...finishing up tomorrow's video.

I found out that my student is NOT going on our cruise, but a 3 day cruise sometime over Christmas break. I'm a little relieved, even though he is a really good kid. :)

I just don't think I would feel comfortable "boozing it up" around kids and parents at my school. (not that I'm going to booze it up, mind you :teeth: )

We had our Thanksgiving dinner at school today...YUM! Our cafeteria makes the most wonderful, slushy punch for our special meals. We all run for the punchbowl on these days.

Not much else to say at the moment.

Bye for now,

posting as directed ma'am.

Tigg, here's the story. Paul and Wil are going to HMB to get the loot for swap on Sunday. So we will ship on Monday.

BTW, does anyone want to do the one month to go dance with us? :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Actually it's kinda freaky...

I'm starting to get a bit of a cold, so that is it for me today.

Check ya tomorrow, (or maybe later if I get some energy)

N

see freakie huh? When you say one month that means it's rally gonna happen.

Paul is out getting HP tickets. We are going Sunday night. Anyone else going this weekend?

I'm on ebay, buying Wilson's tux and looking for more clothes for Molly of course she needs nothing, but wouldn't a sailor dress look cute on the ship?

Paul has caved in too, he is taking me to Stanford Shopping Center (yes, right by the school) to shop for my red dress. He finally got how stressed and bummed out I am. I just hate to shop for dresses, I wouldn't go there without someone, and not many people get the joy of shopping with me for (fat) dresses these days.

okay still feeling sick going now.

N

Got Wilson's tux....10 days to ship, eeekkk...getting close huh?

Oh yeah, I told Paul long time ago after Tday weekend we were sticking suitcases in the playroom and starting packing, good heavens that's next week!!!!

Still sick now I'm sneezing, joy oh joy.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Nan
