Ladies if you are serious about wanting updos you need to be in line for the salon as soon as you board remember everyone else wants those few spots too so unless you wanna get your hair done at 10am you need to make this a priority and I would have a plan B in case it doesn't work out.

Have we got any hairdressers on this thread you could make a killing, or we could all do each others in a circle kinda like you scratch my back I'll scratch his, any of the teens fancy earning a bit of pocket money by creating some up dos?

Sorry I'm home with flu had it for a week now and just starting to feel alive again but obviously it affected my brain!!

Sorry girls...I've had a hairdresser other than my gal do my hair once--NEVER AGAIN! I have difficulty paying such a premium and not knowing if I will like itl.
I finally changed from a bob to more flippy w/ highlights a couple years ago, and I can do it just the way I want it! (I kept asking Dan last night how long he likes my hair--he kept asking if it was a trick question! It is quite a bit longer than it was on the cruise last year, and he has said he likes it longer rather than shorter--not that I usually care what his preference is!--so I think I will just get a trim next month, and go a bit longer)

Woo hoo, Nan, I know the answer to this one!!!!!
A threadkiller is someone who posts to a thread, and it ends up being the last post for that thread...no one responds. Thus, you'll killed the thread! A long time ago someone lamented about being an unintentional threadkiller, and a lot of people chimed in that this has happened to them, too. Now, that thread has GROWN into a group of peeps with their own threadkiller community, and a bunch of nice peeps they are! (I lurk there from time to time .) Tiggie, please correct me if I'm wrong!

So true!!!!!!!!!!! Me and Nan, the blind leading the blind! Thank goodness Tiggie and the rest of our crew are so patient with my whats and huhs and can you explain that again slowly!

About the updoos, the first thing I'm going to do when I board is run to make the hair appointment, as Lynn advised (Thanks Lynn!) Maybe Jill or Grim and Dede can help with the time to ask for. I don't think we want to have it done early in the day, so what would be a good time? If dinner is at 8:30, then maybe 7ish? 6:30? For the love of Mickey and Minnie, someone please help!

Now a serious question, and PLEASE everyone respond! How do you feel about having your photo on your door sign? And the kids photos? I know some people have a paranoia about this, so I need to know. Thanks!!

Originally I killed 2 threads. The last cruise we were on I was the last one to post until a few months ago. & Our cruise thread I was the last one to post before the brats made the admin people close it. Oh well.

Can't help you with the hair thing. I don't know if it was the heat or what but on the last cruise even if I used a curling iron my hair went straight. Sooooooo this time I'm going to wear my competition wig. I gave it to the girl that styled it last time & she is fixing it for me.

I noticed on Beano's cruise people took door signs. On my cruise they took a few of my signs. I wound up putting the signs on the inside of the door so at least I had something to bring back.

As for me & NY you are the hostess. It all sounds good to me.

My cat, scooter, is from an animal shelter. He's cool.

Kayla is in AC, Dominick is working late so I have the computer all to my self!!!!!!

I realized I left my good news and ran yesterday! Work has been busy. So I haven't been lurking or posting much from there. Ok, back to me, the VP of Marketing nominated me for work done on the Certificate of Need for Elective Angioplasty (which I did last Christmas). We were approved by the State on November 3rd. I am honored and humbled, after all I was just doing my job!

I have to answer some moldy questions I didn't get to!

Hair? Not very good at styling, so I will curl it at the most and see. I will probably put accessories in Kayla's hair. I, too, haven't had many people do my hair. I have had 4 hairdressers my entire life! Now I have one that cuts and one that styles, if we need something fancy.

Frame work - that's great. How so very exciting. Hope the progress is swift.

NYC? Lunch in a museum sounds fabulous to me. Have eaten in the Guggenheim (sp?) and that was wonderful. Whatever, we'll be together at last, so you decide! I am still not sure how we are coming in. Tig, where do you leave from and what train line do you take. We have several choices by us.

Excited? I can hardly contain myself. My mother is besides herself, too! I think of virtually nothing else!!! HOW MUCH LONGER TILL WE SAIL?????

Off to U of PENN hospital with Mom tomorrow am. She is having hip pain and wants to see what is what. She has had both knees replaced and has an ortho guy she swears by there. Then home to pick up Dominick who has to work. Then off to AC to hear Kayla sing at the teachers convention on Friday night.

What does one do in AC, when one does not gamble?? I do know we will have lunch at PF Changs - have I mentioned I love their lettuce wraps?

Just got home from work, going to see what's in the cupboard (which is pretty bare!) Who does the shopping around here anyway??

Karen, I don't gamble; however, I do like going to the shows. Some of the casinos have their own shows right there. Walking around watching the people gamble is amusing. There are also quite a few stores around on the Boardwalk.

Aisling, I guess we'd rather not have our pictures on our door. (unless Grim posts to the contrary) We have mickey heads with our DIS names, and whatever else you're making will be great!

As for my hair, I'm getting it cut and highlighted the week before the cruise, so I'll be doing it myself. It will be short (and sometimes flippy) so no need for an updo. I wish I was good at hair so I could volunteer to do your hair, but I'm not!

Dan & I were realizing that the only "private" time we will have is while kids
