Christmas Cruising 2005

092605DisneyProblem.jpg

okay, I admit I have a problem...is it the laundry or my Disney obession????

What in the world did you BUY?!?!?!?

I would be jealous if I wasn't going back to FL in 11 more days ;)

:duck:

:cool1:

Wierd is good & it is fun. :rotfl:

For the heck of it I looked up Smash Mouth & to hear them it was kind of a cell phone commercial. Each person (young & old) danced to "The Crawl" & then the phone would ring. :dancer: :rockband:

Laundry? Or are you really hiding goodies? :p

Well Done Jim

He's not that bad everyone honest and definitely worth putting up with 'cos the girls are ssooooo nice!!! :rotfl2:

Nan I'm so silly I've often looked at your login hadn't thought surname duh!
Jim and Family and Keith and I are eating at the Cinderella meal at the Grand Floridian before the party, we have a ressie for 4:40pm so hopefully will be able to get into the party early. Enjoy Liberty Tavern we had a great meal there 2 years ago, Keith waltzed around the room with Minnnie and Mickey came to scold him before kissing my hand, sweet!

Hi Sharon I'm into scrapboooking too i sell creative memories here in the UK

My 15-year-old will be happy to know that there is one other "Confimred" teen ager her age on the cruise. Although there will be dozens, one "for-sure" one helps! I loved the eye-rolling line. Maybe the two girls can get together and learn to roll their eyes in unison like sychronized swimmers!

Hi everyone,

Sharon, I'm happy you found your way to us. Better late than never!
Karen, echoing Tig, how's your mom? Get some rest, you sure need it.
Jim, back are ye now? A smart one, y'are!

About Smash Mouth, I might as well be walking on the sun, because we leave for home on New Year's Eve, and won't be able to see SM at WDW. Bummer!!! Jill, put Radio Disney on, and every other song they play is a SM song! SM did a few songs in soundtracks of various Disney movies, so we know SM well. I have Radio Disney on in my car all the time.

Nan, I don't know if I mentioned it before, but my grandma on my mother's side was from Norway. She used to say ed du gahl (the spelling is all wrong, I'm sure) all the time, "are you crazy", whenever someone got on her nerves. She had that sing-song accent, I'm sure you know it well!
Love the pic of you and Molly, by the way. You in your Disney shirt...you make us all proud!

Dede, what a feast! When I think fondue, I think of a $10 cheese melter and toothpicks! Not anymore! I guess I need to get out more and become cultured, because I had no idea you were eating steak and shrimp while fonduing! Very yummy.

About Palo, Mel and I were going back and forth about it, and we decided to skip it. I was thinking of something special for Christmas day, like Palo brunch, but since Jesse can't join us, we won't do it. When it's time for us to book our ressies (I can't remember how many days out that is...Kris, do you know??), I'll check to see if any Palos are left, and take it from there.
Tig, the day I can book ressies, I'll let you know about the BB. I'll follow your lead.
It's hard planning things together since I have to wait to book, but I'll just keep track of where you all are and see if you'll want company when the time comes!

Disney boxes! Disney boxes! It's been a long time since I've had the pleasure!

Jesse has awful seasonal allergies, so I have to go check on my baby.

BBL :sunny:

Nice card Aisling.

I think you have to wait 75 days. Go to DisneyCruiseLine.Com. Then go to my cruise plans. They will tell you when you can. Fill in your ressie # & all the other info they give you & when the time comes that is one of the ways you can make reservations. It can be done on line, by phone or mail. All of this without going thru your TA. Last year I did it by phone. This year on line. I like doing it on line.
:paw:

Aisling: I like your new pic in your sig ::yes:: tres cool!

I'll make a note to get you back in when your window for ressies is open...I can wait.

Nan: Be patient my friend, the tix will get here soon enough.

Sharon, my daughter and her best friend are both 17. I'm sure all the girls will do well together.

Our swap meet will get them together, we'll see where it goes from there.

Jill, I need to explore the DCL site a little more. After all this time planning, I've hardly ever been there. I know there is an excursion wish list, and I have that all filled up.

Easiest Well done I'll ever get.

:smooth:

Jim, can you recommend a good fishing excursion for absolute but very interested beginners?

we unpacked....and started our movie....Pirates of the Carribbean of course and tried on our stuff...

Mickey Mouse costume for Wil (& a new crush and squirt sweatshirt, but it's for Xmas)
Aurora's wig for Molly
Black capris, wrap skirt & sandals for Nan
Captain Jack Sparrow for Paul

New bedding set for Nan & Paul...

Chip & Dip bowl set...funny the ears are blue not black :confused3

and some hidden goodies for the kids for Halloween...Nightmare Pins sets and light up wands, those we save until we get to the not so scary mickey halloween party.

So, I think we are set for the Dland Halloween party, the kids are going to be Aurora and Prince Phillip, Paul is going to Captain Jack, and I guess I'll be Minnie. Although, I really want to be the evil queen...I'll be watching for a sale on the costume between now and then.

I must get our dust ruffle on tonight so that our housecleaner can make up the bed with our new sheets tomorrow morning, Yipee!!!!!

Check in later,

Nan

p.s. Aisling, love the sig.

Dede, didja pack your tiara yet? I have my bag started but alls it has in it is disney hats, my kttw card holders and a outlet/breaker bar. After my October trip - in two more weeks :cool1: - I'll do my real packing.

Nope. I haven't packed anything at all yet. I'm with you...I'll start packing when we get back from our October DL trip (12 days til we leave!)

Do you have us down for the swap? We'd like to join, if you don't already have us down.

Karen~hope your Mom's ok. My Dad's had quintuple bypass twice now. Your mom and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Long day. I'm heading to bed

Almost forgot some more good news, Dh & I gave my sister, Leeanna, aka Auntie Lee aka Auntie Ola, aka Lola...aka that's enough... her Xmas present today, a ticket to fly out and join us at WDW pre-cruise dates & she said YES!!!! Hopefully she'll get her tickets soon so we can plan plan plan, like I need her for that, ha! We are going to suprise the kids and not tell them she is coming...sneaky huh?

nite nite,

Nan

I have nine on my list for the swap-

Aisling
Nan - Nskjerven
Kris - KKB
Lynn - LynnTarrant
Karen - Domiii
Me
Dan - DannyB
Sharon - Havencruiser
Dede - Minniegrl

Jim & Tori: Did you want in on the swap?

anyone else want in-we can do up to 25!!!

Thank you for all of your P&PD! Mom says the preliminary report is good. She goes today for the results. I am hoping she will be home tomorrow. Jill summed it all up very nicely for me!
Life is actually very good & we have so much to be thankful for. We have met a great group of people thru this discussion group & we will have a great cruise. Love Luck & Lolipops
Mom's a tough old bird and will be just great. My Dad and Brother both died very suddenly, so having her out of the state during this episode had me a little worried. "Live each day as if it is your last" is a line from the musical Nine. Sounds like good advise to me.

Dede, I may have to try the Melting Pot! Sounds like the food is plentiful!

Jim & Sharon, I can't remember if I mentioned DD is 17 and also in our crew is niece 15, nephew 14 and nephew 13. Lot's of teens!

Brittany told me last night she won't snorkel :confused3

Touching fish skeeves her :fish: that's funny cause she's excellent with a fishing pole - Dad taught her when she was like six.

aaaaaaaaanyway, I changed Brittany's and Stefanie's CC excursion - AGAIN - now, I have them both down for the glass bottom boat ride at 2:15 til 3:45. I actually booked all four of us for that. It'll be a nice way to end our day.

Mom will still go parasailing, I will still do the banana boat. I'll ask the girls if they want to do one of those or just hang out on the teen beach & in the arcade. I'll see about that later.

I have a question in my own head I'll ask you guys...should I book the Charlotte Amalie excursion for $29 each (Blackbeard's castle) or save my money, take a taxi (or walk if it's close enough) and tour it on our own?

enquiring minds are at it again ;)

Nan- disney brochures should be getting to you any day now. Anyone else want park maps from WDW while I'm there? Speak now or...well, you know the rest. :)

I'm also mailing you my Laughing Place Magazines, 3 of them. They'll go out today.

Karen, :hug: glad to hear the good news-send Mom a hug from all her daughters and sons :grouphug: LYMI~

ok-back to the DCL site :moped:

:boat: :cool: :sunny:

I've actually just decided that I will book the girls parasailing and/or banana boat ride when your ready Aisling...this way we can do that together. :cool1:

After checking this out thoroughly, I think I'd rather save the money and do it outside DCL. Taxis cost money, ects cost money, but it still doesn't add up to $120 for 4 people. For us, we want to be as independent as possible, having more frfeedom and paying a lot less, but after doing extensive research first. This way you don't spend valuable time wanding around trying to get from place to place.

My 4 decided to do the banana boat ride. OMG it's going to be hilarious. Can we get Jill on it, too??

Also, Tig, add 2 more to the gift box exchange: Aladdin's Clone and Wick. They are going to get their own 25 items together, and it'll be fun for them to be a part of this. Thanks!

I got the boyz down for the swap!

Yay!!!

~~~
I agree about trying to spend as little as possible.
I need to find a decent map of the area so I can see how close or far the castle is from the boat docks.
I know the tram to paradise point is a direct walk off the pier and the cost is the same whether you book thru DCL or directly with the tram company.
~~~

I highly doubt you'd get Mom on a :banana:

We have a better chance of getting my girls on ;)

I'll track them down - via AIM - and ask britt and stef if they'll join us.

~~~I'll be back :moped:
