Whirlwind weekend here. Fun w/ family, but house looks like tornado went through it! Oh, well...and here I sit! Haven't even done one of life's greatest pleasures, read the Sunday paper! (impressive that you all take precidence (sp?) over my Sunday paper!)
Well, have younger 2 down for nap...DAN is finishing Marcus' rocket for Boys Scouts this afternoon...yet Marcus luxuriously lounges while watching football!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??!! Far be it from me to interfere!
Well, guess I'll go pick up the house...or read the paper!

Hi DannyB-I would be the organizer for this little group and below I listed some details about those who are floating around in this thread for you.

Here is what I have on you

Dannyb=Danny, Linda, Lianne 13, and Eric 12. Staying at the Radisson 12/23, has done Palo’s brunch before. May stay in Vero beach for NYE. Assigned to cat9 w porthole. Has chartered a sailboat in St Thomas and snorkeled in St Thomas.

oh yeah! And we're doing a swap the first night we're on board together

All of us are bringing 25 (very small) items that represent ourselves to put into the swap boxes, lunch box size. Nan and I will fill the boxes and put them out for everyone at a meet we'll set up for the first night onboard. Each person that participates gets to choose their box.

it doesn't have to be store bought, some of us are making things to go into the swap boxes

To update you on some of the We're at the Main Seating, which I think is the late seating, right? I'll be wearing a tux on formal night. We are going to WDW after the cruise, staying at Boardwalk (we're DVC members).

I just got on-line and booked Palo's for me and Linda for Wednesday night, after St. Thomas. We're also splurging for a cabanna couple's massage at Castaway Cay

I was talking to Jim and Dawn this morning as we did our ressies together and told them off for not coming to talk to you guys I think they'll be along some time before we set sail!!!

I booked the pedicure for Christmas day at 4pm

Me, Keith, Jim, Rieann and Dawn are doing Brunch on the Monday 10:30am and I booked a facial before it at 8:00am

I booked the 12m Regatta for Keith and I at 8:15am on Tuesday

Wednesday it's Captain Nautica at 7:50am Domii did you do this one or the pm one?
Then we are having Dinner at Palo at 7:30pm that's us two Jim and Rieann and Dawn

Thursday Couples massage at 9:15am

Friday Personal Watercraft Eco Tour at 9:45am

Danny and Linda see you at Palo on Wednesday nigh. BTW I think main seating is the early one , I think they call them Main and Late but check this with someone else. I wouldn't worry too much if you want to swop it seems to me that all the posts are from people wanting to swop from late to early so you wouldn't have a problem.

Lynn: Our toes are in good company, I have my pedi scheduled for Xmas too, (I think) but morning time...right before Palo's for brunch. I figured we'd do breakfast in our room that morning with our stockings and presents from Santa (who still has not figured out how in the world he(me) is going to get everything setup with his 2 little wonders in the same room) (a mother's worst nightmare, being found out too early!!!) It will happen I'm sure, can't sweat the small stuff. I'm hoping the kids will want to play in the Club for us to enjoy brunch. This Club thing is a wonder to them....they have spent their whole lives stuck at home with mom so the idea of "day care" sounds like a resort to them. Grass is greener syndrome I believe.

Hey, Kris, I'm off to my Brownie meeting in 30 minutes, be thinking of you guys at Boy Scouts. We are working on Plant/Leaf rubbing today, rockets sound a bit more fun. Time for that will Wilson joins his boy scout troop next year.

Dan, the swap....I should find Tigg's explanation, but I'll try to patch one together.

We have 25 of these boxes (so 25 people can join in the swap).

Each person gives 25 items (the same kind) to me or Tigg (either ahead of time by snail mail, or at AKL, I'll be there the week before, or last chance embarkment day) and then we stuff them in the box and then we pass out the box at our first DIS meet.

Their has been an idea circulated that the thing you bring could be an item from your state, or whatever???? Disney or not?????

The real trick here is that they all have to be small... You see the box and 25 things have to fit inside, so whatever you think...think small.

I'd suggest that you might also want to put some kind of tag on them so that people know who gave what.

Tigg (I think) has a list of who is in the swap. Have you posted it in your links of cruise stuff???? If we don't get a total of 25 different people then I think we planned on doubling up so that each family would get 2 boxes. But we have plenty of time to reach our magic number of 25 (which by the way come from thin air) maybe it will be 20 or 21 or 22 when we are done. I'm not going to stress over it. If we have extra boxes we could always give them to a good CM or the captain to remember this crazy bunch, right?

oh good glad I can hand over my goodies before we get on board I'll get the details sometime Nan ie proper name etc to leave them for you at AKL. We were planning dinner at the WL on the 23rd but what sort of do were you planning? Dinner or earlier? did you mentiona gathering or is taht just your own party?

BTW Tig my details are a little wrong we have to fly back immediately after the cruise but we arrive in FL on the 17th we're staying at BCV for 3 nights and then VWL for 4 nights. Jim and family are staying for 3 nights at the GF and then the 23rd they are staying with Rieanns brother, Dawn and her girls fly into Disney on the 22nd and are staying at the Dolphin. We are doing MVMCP on the 20th and Illuminations cruise on the 22nd.
I don't know how Dawn and the girls are planning to get to the ship but keith and I have a disney transfer booked from Animal Kingdom so we'll spend the morning there.

Nan, this is the dry box we got, the Witz model, for about $5 each. We each got a different color. I like the size, so that we can go in the pool or beach with it on. Especially for my kids, they might not want to go back to the room to put away their KTTW cards and arcade cards, and may leave them by a chair with their towel. Now they can be free onboard the ship with their cards in the drybox around their necks or tied to their belt loop.
And on excursions, even more security of having the cards on us at all times, even while swimming/boating.

This is Jim. Long time friend of LynnTarrant and Keith (I've actually kidnapped them both before and completely corrupted Keith. But leave that for another thread.)

Me. Think Leprechaun. Irish, big of mouth, short of stature. Knows where the Bailey's is hidden.

DW: Rieann. Before the end of the cruise you WILL say "How do you put up with him".

DD-1 Caitlin. 17 going on 40. Senior this year in HS. Will miss BF on cruise.

DD-2 Shannon. 14 going on 14. HS Freshman. Master at eye rolls and dismissive glances.

Hail from the DC area. Have B-in law in Melbourne FL. Will go to WDW 12/20 - 12/23, then stay night before cruise in melbourne.

Look forward to participating in gift boxes, if we can.

Hope to participate a lot more.

This is our second dis cruise, and we are going to TRY to relax and not try to do everything. Much fewer excursions, try to limit Palo to less than four times, etc.

Fishing doesn't count. It's what I do.

Hey we are doing the Very Merry Xmas on the 20th too. We are having dinner at the Libberty Tavern that night. What are your plans? I was told that if we are in the park by 5pm for dinner that we don't have to leave, otherwise you can not get in until 7pm...strict huh? I guess they gotta set up somehow. Since I've never been I just can't picture all this stuff.
