She was born 1:00 AM September 20th, 2006 (I think I won the pool ). 8 pounds 8 ounces, 21 inches.

Both Mom and Piper are doing great.

We were supposed to go to the hospital September 18th at 9:00 PM to be induced. They called us around 6:00PM and told us not to come in because they were too busy. They called back at 1:00 AM and said they could take us.

We checked into the hospital and started around 3:00AM. Dede labored for 20 hours (with 2 epiderals) without much progression, so they decided to do a c-section.

Mom is still in the hospital - will probably be released Saturday. I just came home because I felt a cold coming on - didn't want to risk getting my baby girl sick! Dede's Mom, Dad, and Sis are all here, so they're taking care of her right now.

I am absolutely exhausted - We've had very little sleep in the last 4 or 5 days - heck, I didn't even know what day it was till I just looked at a calendar. I don't know how Dede is holding up so well.

OMG I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just called Tiggie in North or South carolina (can't remember where she is is!!) and left a message on her cell phone with the good news.

Thanks SO MUCH for posting the pics and letting us know, we're your Disney family after all! Wow Dede you look GREAT after 20 hours of labor, and I'm not kidding! What an ordeal, but Piper's here! yay! Congratulations a million times. I can't wait to show Chad and Jesse the pictures. I think I'll text message Chad a photo. He's in school right now.

I can't believe noones been on here since Friday!

I talked to Nan this morning, sort of, we had a bad connection cause she was on her way to half moon bay!

Rose and I were talking cali trip and I tried to call Nan for some planning help. I got some package info on the dis and am waiting for a quote back... It looks like well be at dl from sun til Wed and then doing Hollywood from Wed to Fri after that well hit san Diego. Nothings in stone yet tho...

Yay! I'm a MOM! You all already know how amazing that is, and I am just discovering what a blessing it is. We are so very lucky to have Piper. She is such a good baby.

Nan, tell Molly that Piper is a very hip baby so its ok to talk to her like that, and says that not a lot is up at this point. Just eating, sleeping, and to her Father's dismay...lots of pooping.

I'm really tired, but I wanted to pop on and thank everyone for the kind messages and inquiries. We will be adding more pictures to Piper's photo gallery every week, so check back when you can!

Dede, I'm so happy to see your post! Tell Grim, it took Mel a couple of weeks, but then he didn't care if he got baby poop all over him! You become immune to it, until they start eating real food, but we'll discuss that next year! Remind me to tell you what happened to me (ie FREAK OUT) the first time I gave baby Chad fresh mashed banana!

I've been very busy, and my laptop burnt out, but I had to take a minute to cyber hug you all!

I'm going to look at Pipers photos, again! LOL, and then head out on errands.

We had the house til sat but John has 2 concerts this weekend and ed hunts and wanted to be home so he can go out tomorrow.

I'm ok with coming home early, more time forme to wind down and unpack before heading back to work.
