Christmas Cruise 2005!!!

About a month ago Macy's was having a sale on a no-name 28" size luggage for $20.00 a piece good deal I said, and I was
the first one in that department. The person helping me was awesome, how
often can you say that? She told me to wait because she thought she might
have some 30" ones in back for the same price, well in waiting the twenty
or so that were on the floor were gobbled up by other people, it was a mad
house. She came back out and told me that there was none to be had, I
reminded her that I was here first I what could she do for me. After the rush
was over she made a call and then told me to come with her to the back room.
When we got there she started to open boxes of size 33" of a much better
brand $68:00 a piece. She asked me how many would I like at the $20.00
price so I told her I would take four of them. So for $80.00 instead of somewhere near $280.00 we got some very nice luggage!
Put me down for no more camping too, Vietnam was the last camping out I
want to do, no more waking up and burning the blood suckers off with a
match!! Hello room service, bring it up!!!! :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

But I admire your enthusiasm!
I did just have a thought...usually I clean out kids' closets at end of each season, putting clothes in a tub to take to Once Upon a Child or for garage sale at later date...but we will need those summer clothes, so I will truly pack for the kiddos probably in Oct. when things start cooling down here in NE. Goody! That will help tide me over! (I'm remaining optimistic and determined that I will need a new wardrobe...I better get this weight lost by end of summer sales!) :cool1:
I just realized that I have $200 in vouchers from United that I need to use by Sept. (at least book). Hmmm...maybe I could pull a summer trip after all!
My stomach has been a mess the last 3 days--I think it was too many beers and wings the last two weekends....so I need to get back to Jazzercise!
Better go!
Have a GREAT day! :goodvibes
Kristin

Our weather should be in the 60's for the next couple of days...
and then back to rainy by Saturday :guilty: :confused3

I try to get out and wander our garden no matter what the weather...DHs grandmother made our entire yard one big garden so there's always something that needs attention. I'm grateful to have 3 adults to maintain it with me

No worries Aisling, I'm already using my travel cooler-Mickey has a luggage tag on him with pics of my kids on each side of the tag :teeth: The sweatsuit is a good idea for travel day. *My last trip down it was in the 30s here and 60 in FL. I wore jeans with a tank top with a sweat jacket over top til I got to Orlando. It was actually chilly enough to keep the jacket with me til we got to the condo.*

Franco: awesome deal on the luggage...
a little sweet talk will get you everywhere!!! :goodvibes

Kristin: You have a cruise in October first!?!
That should work out real well when you go in December, you'll already be packed from October... :wizard:

I was doing real well with my "dieting" until my March trip to WDW was over...one too many of these :mickeybar and my diet's been out the window ever sonce

I'll get back on the exercise wagon soon...I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....noooo Aisling, no more :mickeybar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:rotfl:

 Hi Mama!
 Hello to all you lurkers out there!!! :moped:

No, that cruise was LAST October...but I kept the packing lists!
Trying to work ahead on my math class for this semester. Only 2 more chapters/assignments to go.... :bounce:
Have a great day!
Kristin :wave2:

LAMPSKIES, are you going on the Christmas 2005 Eastern cruise?? :magnify:

In the normal week Wednsday is the middle of the week. A hump (looking at a camel) is a hill. Monday is the bottom - Wednsday is the top - & Friday is the bottom of the other side. Then you can rest. Therefore, Wednsday is humpday.

 I guess my mind is naughtier than I thought! Thank you for the exlplanation, Jill.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what does this mean????
:rotfl: :goodvibes :rotfl2:
:teeth: That's cute :teeth:

It is exactly as mama says, once we get over "the hump," the rest of the week goes by so much faster.

You should  you dirty mind you...

I just ordered park tickets for WDW after cruise. I bought 10day no expiry, park hopping, plus tickets. The total for all five of us was $1722. :earseek:

I'm not sure whether to jump up and down or throw up. :rotfl:

:earseek:Wow!

That purchase is well spent cause I know it makes the cruise seem so much closer
 :cool1:  :cool1: :cheer2:

~IMO~I'd be jumping!

I think I only need one day passes for our trip...
I was considering buying my kids 5 days, no expiry for their trip in July-of which they would use four days and I could bring the passes back in December to use up the last day on them.

We disembark on Saturday, I was hoping to do a mini social, non park event on property for NYE. (Nope, still haven't decided on what.) I've read and have information on an ice cream social that WDW can help organize but have yet to call and get the details.

Sunday, we could do one park-my group will decide which one when the trip gets a little closer. I like EPCOT cause it's open longer, I have a feeling the girls will want MGM. We could even decide to do MK if the mood strikes us, I doubt if we would do AK tho. IMO, there's just not enough there to kill a full day.

Monday, I have the girls flying back home with me-back to reality once again :(

Thanks. I'm feeling better already. My excitment is building.

I was thinking of getting the personalized t shirts off of disney.com for the kids to open on Christmas morning. I would have them say something like, "The Shirley Family is going to Disney World". (They don't know that we are going)

Can I be in your family?? We have to go home right after the cruise :sad1:

See how spoiled I am! For goodness sake, how can I complain?? :dancer: :boat:

I just found out on the transportation board that a Dis family will be on our flight out of JFK, and are sitting right in front of us!

Sounds like you need a DIS fix ::MickeyMo
I go to the local Disney store when I need one. Have you been to the new WOD store in NYC?

Even if I'm not buying, browsing seems to help ;) I look for books about Disney, i.e., Birnbaums, the Disney Mag...maybe you could peruse your photos from your last trip to the World...In your case, maybe peruse Ebay and see what's out there :rotfl:

I also help others get to WDW, I assist them in their trip planning and I feel like I'm going with them:) aaaaand, I read Trip reports! HTH...

oooh! I know, you could plan a trip to FL for Dec 2006 and stay at the all star's or Pop with us! (Yes, for real.)

Are they flying home with you too?! That is so cool :cool1:
