Post your great Christmas clearance finds here! I am wondering what Target and Walmart clearance will be like. I scored a ton of stuff on New Year's day last year when Target hit 90 off and Walmart 75. I need wrapping paper and tissue paper!

I went to Target on 12/26 looking for clearance and they had a lot of candy at 30% off but were already packing that and the wrapping paper etc. items away. I did get a few gift bags and packages of tissue paper at 50% off but don’t be surprised if the seasonal stuff has already disappeared from your store.

We went the morning of the 26th and got some paper but it was like it was already 90% with the amount that was left. Blogger I follow shops at a target like 40 min from me, tons of stuff even at 70%, I don't get it. But target should go 90% Friday based on the past, it's already at 70% so candy should he 50 if your store has any.

What clearance? We were out on the 23rd and the shelves were empty. My wife did snag some wrapping paper on the 26th but everything else was sold out. I'm guessing stores bought less inventory due to the pandemic, and now they are saying in store retail sales were up 3% !

That’s what I was thinking too. My husband was looking for a few new candles for the windows and nobody around town had any left the week before Christmas.

OP here...I am thinking it's not going to be great. My sister is out shopping now, I am very interested in what she finds!

The Target by me had TONS of Christmas stuff left a few days before Christmas when I was in there, but I haven't been back to see if there are any after holiday deals to be had.

I was in CVS yesterday and they had some Christmas stuff left but I didn’t pay attention to the pricing because I wasn’t buying.

My Target had nothing on Dec 23 (I was looking for tinsel).

I hit Walmart on Dec 26, and got the last 3 silver and red tinsels...I wanted all silver, but those were gone...in fact, there was only 4 types and about 10 packs left...

Funny enough, they had a lot of gift sets, so I did get Hickory Farms, which my family (sans me) has enjoyed for this week's lunches...but as far as Christmas decorating - almost nothing. No trees, no lights (I wanted more outdoor solar ones - I couldn't have bought them, or any light, if I tried b/c they were wiped out), almost no tinsel, no tree toppers, no ornament packs - just a few scarce single ornaments. They did have tons of gift sets, wrapping supplies, and candy, so it wasn't nothing, but compared to past years, it was. I blame Covid and reduced supplies from China, b/c I'm betting that's where a lot of the "tree stuff" comes from...

I was in Walmart early on the 26th. People were picking over the gift baskets, but we truly needed no candy, shampoo, etc., so I didn't even look. Down in the Outdoor section, I did get 50% off tissue and boxes. I wanted gift bags, but they only had individual ones, not packaged ones, so I skipped it (not really a savings versus buying 10 in assorted sizes next November). I did get some gift wrap, but (a) I'm a sucker for foiled wrap, and (b) I was looking specifically for stuff that could be used throughout the year.

DH wanted some more outdoor lights, but there were none to be had, anywhere. I had read an article that said that people were focusing on outdoor decorating this year, and the stores had to places their orders back in the spring, and didn't anticipate the trend. Can you blame them? But, due to that, a lot of the outdoor stuff sold out weeks ago. I did notice that Walmart had some artificial trees remaining, but we didn't need one. People were snapping up decor items, as well.

Walmart near me went 75% off today. They had lots of wrapping paper and bags so I got some, but not much tissue paper. They had frozen and Minnie mouse lip smacker sets for 1.24 so I got those for next year for my girls. Lots of food gift boxes that I use every year to give away treats so I got a couple. Also had lots of mini white lights and we want to line our circle driveway with them next year so I got 20 boxes for $12. I was pleased enough I didn't go to Target!

Does anyone know when CVS goes to 75% off? I was in there today but everything was still 50%.
And New Year's Eve stuff at Walmart was full price.
