Hi!!! We are going to WDW at the beggining of Dec. And wanted to get some Xmas cards with the place cut out to add your own pictures..then add a picture of our family in front of the castle, or with MKY MSE into the card. So, the cards will be post marked Lake Buena Vista. Does anyone know if Disney sells Xmas cards with the die cut out for pictures? Or should we get them before we go. Asking in advance..just wondering. Thanks.

They sell Christmas Cards at Disney Days of Christmas in Downtown Disney - I'm not sure if they sell them with the cut outs for pictures. Their number is 407-828-2042.

Hope all works out for you and your Christmas trip - and thank you for the well wishes. :goodvibes

Yes they do sell the cards where you insert your own photo. I know they have a Pooh version, not sure of others.

I would suggest purchasing your cards before you head to Disney. I have seen these types of cards at my local card store around the holidays. I would write out all the cards and envelopes before you go. When you get down there, take the picture, have as many copies made as you need, insert the picture and mail them out. I don't know how many cards you mail out but we usually mail out between 50 and 60. You do not want to be writing out cards and envelopes down there on vacation. I would also suggest mailing out your cards from Downtown Disney. There is a store there (I believe it is The Art of Disney) they sell collectable stuff on one side and scrapbooking stuff on the other side - that will put a metered Disney stamp on your envelope. This way you do not have to purchase stams either.

Mailing your cards from Epcot will not get them post marked WDW. I tried that and it just read "Lake Beuna Vista". I was bummed.

Is the Art of Disney store the only place that will specialize your out going mail?

I've purchased cute Disney Christmas cards at the Dollar Store.

As far as I know, this is the only place on Disney property that you can get a Disney postmark. I sent a postcard to myself two weeks ago and the postmark says "Capture the Magic", then it say "Walt Disney World" under that. There is also a picture of Tinkerbell next to this. Just a reminder, you do not need to put a stamp on the item you are mailing. They meter it.

I would suggest pre-purchasing your cards. That way, you can address the envelopes before you leave WDW. Or, if you're doing computer print out address labels, then you can stick them on before you leave.

Also, you'll have to make sure that your photo matches the cut-out area of the card where you place your photo. For example, if you choose a card w/a vertical cut-out, your photo has to be a vertical photo. If it's horizontal, it won't fit properly. KWIM? So, be sure to keep the cut-out opening area in your mind when you're taking the photo. If it's a vertical opening, be sure you take your photo vertically. If it's a horizontal opening, take a horizontal photo!

HTH!

Thanks for all the ideas..i like the post mark ideas..i will have to remember that!!!
Thanks..I appreciate it!
