Christmas Card Photo

I tried to get some photos for our Christmas cards during this trip but my 3 wouldn't cooperate. We were at WL and took some photos at the smaller tree by the pin selling cart. That location had the best lighting for pictures. We also tried the snow scene at DTD. That would have been great if I could have gotten all 3 to smile at the same time. I did get one great shot at the tree at WL but my little one was in her Snow White dress that day. I didn't take that picture for Christmas cards. I took it just because they all stood and smiled at the same time! Wouldn't you know that one came out great. My DH says we can't use it though because of the Snow White dress. I guess he is right. What do you think?

Good luck with your photos. Hopefully you have better luck than I did!

I would probably use it BECAUSE of the Snow White dress::yes:: ! What better way to show where you were and DD enjoying herself!:D

Last year we took our family christmas card photo at the Wilderness Lodge Gift Shop. They have a nice fireplace located in the gift shop. The picture turned out incredible. The photo looks so real. You would never know it was taken at the gift shop. Another great photo location at the Lodge is the Villas Lobby. The Lobby is almost always empty. They have a beautiful tree in the middle of their lobby.

Best of Luck,
Tracy

Hey everyone, just got back from our wonderful week at WDW! We had a great time and the weather was GORGEOUS -- about eighty degrees and no rain. The kids swam every day. I wanted to update you all on the Xmas card photo quest... We took lots of pics, and I will have to review them to select my favorite. One thing I didn't count on -- silly me -- was my children fighting. Some great photos were ruined because sister was making what we call her "pissy face" because she didn't want to pose with her brother!

Got great shots at the Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kindgom and the Grand Floridian. Despite the disappointment on these Boards, I thought the tree at the GF was beautiful. Also got great shots at the Polynesian, Old Key West, Main Street and Downtown Disney. Despite all my obsessing over "the perfect photo," the shot I will probably use is one my hubby took when I wasn't even THERE! He took the kids to Epcot one morning and they posed in front of a field of poinsettias. It's sunny and they are smiling and the colors are gorgeous... Perfect! I will try to post the photo here once I choose.

I will post more about our trip tomorrow. Summary: great week, kids with sore throats, HUGE crowds even before Thanksgiving. We just gave up on the parks and had fun swimming and resort-hopping. OKW was wonderful as always, the new fireworks lived up to my expectations, Philarmagic is adorable and Saratoga Springs looks nifty -- we rented a pontoon boat and got VERY close to it!

Gotta unpack. :)

Colleen, I agree that the tree at the GF is beautiful. It certainly isn't as massive or striking as the last one but I actually thought it was prettier.
