Hi! This is my first post! :) I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not, but I thought I'd try here first.

I am thinking about going to WDW over Christmas break next year (12/22-12/29), so we would actually be there for CHristmas. Our DK's would be 7 and 4. Has anyone been there over Christmas with kids befoer? Any suggestiosn, hints, comments, are appreciated!

ALso- how dod I get my past trip info listed at the bottom?

THanks!

It's a wonderful time of year to see WDW at Christmas, but BEWARE it is THE MOST CROWDED WEEK OF THE YEAR!!! Hotels will be top dollar and crowds will be insane. Don't be surprised to wait 75 minutes plus on all major rides and 45 minutes on minor rides. If you want to experience Christmas in Disney, try to go the first 2 weeks in December (school have not closed yet for the holidays). All the parks are decorated for the holidays, with very small crowds. I would never go during the week between Christmas and New Year's.

A close friend goes during Christmas and loves it, although as mickey0624 posted, it IS the busiest time to go. Just plan accordingly and you'll enjoy it much better!! :sunny:

Went down over Christmas last year(12/23/05 - 01/02/06) it was very crowded. They did shut the parks down a couple of times during the times we were down there. Although Christmas day we went early and did manage to do some of the rides with little or no waitng because it wasnt crowded people opening presents I guess after about 10 am the lines started getting real long Space Mountain had a 90+ min wait Buzz had a 70+ min wait. We had done all the rides in Fantasyland so dont know the wait times but I heard people saying they were at least 45+minutes long.

New Years Eve we were at MK that day. And they said they had atleast 90,000 people in the park that day. Normally about 50,000 people a day according to the CM I talked to.

New Years Day Epcot was dead hardly any people there. Thought Epcot was closed. Around noon it started picking up. People sleeping late from sll that partying The night before.

I have 2 young children and we spent last christmas in orlando visiting family. There is so many family activities taking place in orlando! a great website to check out is (christmas in orlando)----all one word(without the spaces). It has information about EVERYTHING going on in orlando for the holidays, and some are pretty cheap!! My son loved the ICE exhibit at Gaylord Palms, It was reasonably prices and was sooo cool, definetly my number one suggestion!!

Being a divorced mother of two kids, its so refreshing when my family and I can find affordable, but FUN holiday events.

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

How's the weather in Florida in December? I'd love to see the Christmas decorations, but wouldn't want to go at Christmas due to crowds.
