As most of you know today is the day booking opened up. 7am est time? Well, that is 4am here. I was good..set my alarm... was up at 3:55. My intent was to call quickly and then go back to bed. I had my cell phone and my home phone ready to go. I called... on ... both... phones.. The lines were busy. Who knew there were so many different ways that you could get that message. There was a male voice "all circuits are busy". There was a female voice "all circuits are busy". There was a fast beeping busy signal. There was a slow beeping busy signal. A couple times I got a "you have reached a non working number" Quite a few times I got a "if you would like to make a call, please hang up" There were even a few times it just rang and rang and rang. (and this was all just hitting redial) Finally, after 28 minutes, my cell phone got through. I requested special dinning events and was placed on hold. No music though...so I was super nervous that the connection was lost. I didn't hang up though. At 41 minutes in, my home phone got through. This time I requested dinning reservations. That tried to give me a regular ADR.. not what I wanted so I asked for a real person and thus the hold process began for the home phone. It too had no music though so I figured it was not that the cell had lost the call. At about 20 minutes of the cell phone holding, both phones started to play music. First it was from Splash Mountain then from Haunted Mansion... etc. FINALLY at 50 minutes on hold I heard a voice on my cell phone. Confirming I wasn't dreaming first I hung up my home phone and proceeded with the call on my cell. I was able to get LC on 12/16 (the date and restaurant I wanted) for the 5pm show. Now, I had wanted a dinner reservation. However, after having the cm read me the full menu of the cp package at lunch time at LC.. I was satisfied that it was actually more like the dinner menu and I would be happy with it. Now I have a meal at LC set for 2pm. I have a previous ADR at 6:50 for LC that I will have to cancel. I was at first just a tad disappointed. Then I got to thinking. What if it is really cold out on 12/16? Maybe a 5pm show would be better? It is after all outside, right? So I am happy. Tired.. but happy. In total the process took from 4am till 5:20 am. Oh.. and on the reservation. The cm said she would have to check because times for LC were going quick that morning. She said all she had left was the 2pm. So 
I got that... because I was not prepared to have to pick a different date. As it is, I will have to change our plans a bit to allow a TS at lunch rather than dinner.
So big day in the planning department.
1. I bought our MVMCP tickets!!! I am not sure why it made me nervous to do so. Well, I know why... they are not refundable. I can't cancel. I know what day we are going and why and we won't be cancelling now... but still if something odd were to happen I could still cancel the trip and not be out too much money. (just the cost of the flights on continental) I can't cancel the party tickets.
2. I booked the CP package. And... here is the story on THAT.

so we are going to Coral Reef instead. I guess it is not as popular 
as LC because I got my requested time without any difficulty.

My son has been very very sick the past few days. Today was the first day he was up and about and feeling better (sweated through clothes and blankets and pillows when his fever finally broke!) and I'm so sleep deprived I totally forgot today was the 26th! So thank you for posting about this.
I booked my CP today too. Not at LC.... don't need Canadian beef steak.... we get that all the time
I am sorry your son was so sick. That is not any fun...especially during the summer. Glad he is feeling a bit better... now you can get some rest yourself.
Glad to hear you got what you wanted. What day are you doing it?
