My family will be at WDW Nov. 27th - Dec. 5th. We were thinking of Resort hopping and going to DD until some of the crowds have gone. Hopefully by Sunday! Can anyone tell me any special Christmas activities each Resort has and approx. what time they do this? I know that with all the WDW fans on this boards, all the Resorts should have been visited by several of you at this time of year. Please give me any info. you have about the Resort you stayed at or any others you may have seen special things going on at during your visit. One other question: Will we be able to go to the special events without staying at that resort? We will be staying on site, if that makes a difference. Hope you can help!

I sure wish I could help, but I have not been at that time. I was there Dec 30-Jun 6, but we didn't get to do as much because I had a kidney stone. (Celebration Hospital Emergency Room checkin looks just like a hotel registration desk!)

I am sure soemone will know, though.

I've seen costumed carolers at WL. There used to be Christmas Story Time each evening at the Yacht/ Beach Club. Each of the resorts is decorated, the deluxes being most worthwhile to see.

I can't think of any thing at resorts which would be considered special events. At WL, you are able to sometimes catch CMs caroling in the lobby. I would think the main specialty at Christmas would be the decorations and you are free to resort hop to see these. All resorts are beautifully decorated. WL and GF are definitely must sees for decorations. Maybe others on the board know of other special Christmas things at the resorts.

I know when we were at the BWV in December, 1999 there was a schedule for the entire Crescent Lake area regarding special Holiday events. I think the Boardwalk had a special ceremony on the village green, YC/BC had storytellers, etc. I'm sure someone has done these things & will have more specifics. We didn't have time on that trip, but will be returning in December & would also like to know.

Thanks all for the replies, I will be checking into all these things. Any more???

jamsmon, sorry for you experience. What a bummer! Not only were you on vacation, but it was New Years, a time to celebrate. :
