Currently have reservations for Dec. 14- 20. I have been trying for weeks to get my stay extended for another week. Today I called and the 21st was available :cool1: Bad news however...I couldnt get it added to my current reservation, I had to make a new one at holiday rates!!!!! I love FW, but I feel this is just a rip off. I can understand if i was only coming in for the peak time around Christmas. Another way of Disney trying to part me from my money. Unless I can get the week of Christmas added to my existing reservation at pre holiday rates I will be staying offsite and returning in Jan at value rate.

What about canceling your ressie and then turning around and rebooking for the date you want? I dont really know if it cuz work since i dont have alot of experience with WDW. Jan is our first trip.

Nope, never cancel first. Make another reservation, if you can, and then cancel. There is no guarantee that you can get the same reservation if you cancel first. Computers and large companies......

On Monday I called and was told they had no openings for my wanted days (12/17-27/2007).. the next day I go online and am able to piece together the days through three different reservations, all the while still being told on the phone that there were no openings... I finally got it down to two different reservations, and will try to get them combined later down the line....

moral if the story is- Disney reservation system leaves a lot to be desired, and try all methods (web, phone) and never give up...
