Visiting 12/19-12/26. Cannot wait. How is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day other than crowded. How do we get tickets for parade Christmas day and what time do they open MK on Christmas. Any other suggestions. 12 of us from Indiana going.

The Christmas Day parade is no longer done live. They tape it in early December (sometimes over several days). They do have a special Christmas theme parade that runs through the whole holiday period. You never did need a ticket for the live parade but had to be there early in the morning.

Park hours during Christmas are pretty extensive. I think they tend to open around 7 or 8 and stay open to midnight. It's a very crowded but very magical time to be at WDW. One thing to keep in mind is to throw in a few items that you could use to layer if the weather should turn cold (not just cool -- sometimes it's down into the 30's at night).

Glad you found us,arrive early and use fastpass to help you tour.Make sure to catch the live holiday shows performed at different times.Eat a early or late lunch, same for dinner to avoid huge crowds and waste a lot of touring time.Have a magical trip, you are visiting at the most special time of the year at WDW.::yes:: :wave2:

Hi,
My family went last year for christmas Dec 22 to 28....It really didn't seem to crowded until christmas day, then it was a mad house.....I read on another thread some where on here that they were afraid that this year might even be busier because christmas lands on a saturday.....As for the christmas parade they have them through out the day but at night they have a different parade it's not a holiday parade i can't remember what it was called...On main st at night they have snow falling from the roof tops it's beautiful and the decorations are beautiful.....As for the weather my family dressed in layers and we carried around a back pack to carry sweater.....In the morning it was really cold by eleven it warm up but then around five or so it was getting cold again....The weather there is unpredictable.....Make sure if you plan on having christmas dinner some where in WDW you make ps, we had ps for the 50's Prime Time it was so crowded that we had to wait atleast 45 minutes and that's with a ps....
