Well, somehow I lost my original planning journal that I started last year so I guess I will have to start over. My wedding is getting close and much of my planning is done, but I still need these boards for advice and often just to vent so I want to include my experience with all of you.
As for background, Jeff and I met when I was 15 working at KFC. We dated briefly, but things didn't end well although I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. Basically, we both needed to grow up. We've been together 11 years now (I turn 30 today!
Happy Birthday to me! ) and we also have 2 beautiful daughters: Kieryn who will be 5 on March 26th, and Elora who is 19 months old.
We decided to get married at/near Disney because my whole family is in desperate need of a vacation and I have never been there even myself. Its been hard to plan because of this but I'm doing my best. We have 20 people joining us in Disney for the week and my parents are bringing my children home with them so we can stay an additional 4 days by ourselves!
I've "lost" my 2 bestfriends as bridesmaids because they both got pregnant but I love them anyway.
My DF with our girls last year:
So here are the basic details. For as much as I love Disney, a fairy tale wedding just wasn't in my budget considering the amount of guests. (who knew a few babies would cause such a problem) So, we looked around and decided to get married at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort which is really close to Downtown Disney. We are getting married at Cypress Pointe which is a gazebo in the middle of a lake. It looks like this:
After the wedding we are having lunch and cake at the Hyatt. Oh, my photographer is Misty Miotto and I am having hair and makeup done by Beauty Speciale.
I will be having my eldest sister as my MOH and my other sister and DF's sister as my bridesmaids. His 2 brothers and one friend will stand on his side. My girls, along with my niece, will be flower girls and our friend's daughter will be the ring bearer.
Here are my bridesmaid dresses:
What a steal at only $50 each!!!
And here is my dress and handmade jewery

Well, I guess thats all for now. My birthday has officially begun so I am going to go and try to sleep through the first half of it.
