Christine & Allen 10/08/12 WP/GF way overdue update 08/28

Hey!! Tagging along!

Your planning session sounds amazing, and that is an awesome menu! I love the potato martini bar, YUM!! And the mushroom fillet and cheddar cheese soup is my absolute favorite meal in Disney. DF dine at a lot of different places when we visit and that meal is still my fave.

Everything seems to be coming together. Ooo ooo you'll be there for Food and Wine AND MNSSHP. I love the Halloween party, surprisingly much more than the Christmas party.

Can't wait to hear more, it's getting close...

PS-Love the necklaces you got your girls. Ooo and your dress is beautiful, I love the Maggie dresses too. My parents are coming for a visit in a few weeks and I'll be going with my mom for my dress then, I too have a bunch bookmarked. :goodvibes Oh and your hair is gorgeous! I think I know your answer, but would you recommend them? If so, what was the name of your girl again? I got another quote earlier today for $125 for just me, half u half down. I know that hair costs a lot but that seemed a bit much to me. Okay, I'm totally rambling now...

Thanks! They did an amazing job on the filet recreation, it was sooooo good! It's our favorite too, it's just a classic and I recommend everyone to go to LeCellier.
I loved the Maggie dresses they were so pretty but every single one that I tried on was so heavy, which has it's pluses and minuses. My dress and my bridesmaids' dresses are from Mori Lee and are taffeta. It's light enough that I can wear it all day and not worry and it's similar styling to Maggies'.
I'm going to try to get my dessert party dress soon, I found one that is a retired Maggie short dress that are being recreated.
I loved my hair and makeup trial, I would absolutely recommend them! I had Rosie and she understood what I wanted right away and gave a couple of ideas to see if I liked a couple pieces down but I chose all up because I know my hair will go flat. It was so worth the money! I just had to sit there and talk the entire time. I'm actually going to book an early morning session for our bridal shoot as well, I wasn't going to just because it was really super early and the extra cost. I think it will be worth it so I don't have to function that early hahahaha
And it's ok rant away I tend to do the same

LeCellier Beer & Cheese Soup with warm pretzel bread

Just tuning in your PJ. My DF LOVES Le Cellier Beer and Cheese Soup! I didn't even think you're able to do it. If that's possible, I'd love to have the french escargots they offer at France during food and wine festival!!

I'm terrified of your BEO too!! It'd be interesting to see how much it comes out to be per person.

I love all your ideas!!

We have our BEO and oh good gracious! Hysterical laughing for awhile but I think I'm reining it all in!!
Things in RED are things being cut.
I'm going to type everything because the BEO copies are always horrible!

I'm trying to get everything down to at least $15000 if not less.
We are having an open bar because just about all of our guests drink and some of them are big drinkers/party people.
I would LOVE to keep the 1948 Cadillac as our one splurge other than having our wedding at Disney :lmao:

Hi! Joining over from Facebook!! Everything looks great so far!! I think we were at Disney the same weekend as you were at the end of April. Cheerleaders were everywhere!!

Wendy did a great job on your invites, they are so pretty. Did you ask for a custom design? Did she print them or did you? I've been thinking of doing my own but not sure how to print them to make them look like that so I might just get her to do them but in looking at the Etsy shop it doesn't look like she prints. Guess I can ask her lol.

I love the flower girl dress, that's such a good idea to have her dress the opposite color of the bridesmaids. I bet your colors are going pop so nicely. Anxious to see how it all comes together!

Hi and Thank You!!!
The cheerleaders were EVERYWHERE, and I don't know where some of them left the rest of their clothes at :lmao:
Yes it was a custom design from Wendy, she does such an awesome job on everything! I actually ordered the printed version through her which were ordered from Cards & Pockets.
I don't have the patience with my printer to print them by any means!
Thanks, she looks ADORABLE in her dress (although I'm sure we all feel that way about our flower girls hahaha) I'm so excited to see it all together!

Beautiful dresses for u & the girls! I had Amy as my planner for my MK ceremony too! Yowzers on your BEO  I hope u can get it down to what u like :goodvibes

Just joining in! Your BEO terrifies me!! We are expecting the same guest count, are planning on a buffet dinner with pretty much the exact menu.. as well as the dessert party! I was hoping (like you) to be under $15,000... hoping to see you achieve that goal so I can breathe a sigh of relief!!!

Just a question on your BEO. There's the wedding total and then total with Bridal Shoot. Is that your photographer? Park photo session?

It's the Park Photo Session through Disney :)

It's the 21% service fees that get you! I'm really really hoping that we only have 50 or 45 (which would be even better!)
I have a phone consult next week to go over everything. I will keep you updated to what I can bring it down to!!

I also created a quick mock up of our programs, I didn't punch holes for the ribbon yet. I'm still trying to decide if I just want a round hole or if I want a design...Im thinking just round. I put the design in my Silhouette program (love that machine) and it cut them out for me. I also have designed Rhinestone transfers and Drinking Around the World shirts. I've also been working on my cake topper...I'm so slow at it

Thank you so much! I loved my hair! Of course, I used everyone else's to get an idea of prices when I was starting

I also bought the girls these
GirlsWristlets.jpg

I think they are something that they can reuse :cheer2:

I bought this off HauteLook the other day, so excited! I'm thinking of wearing it to Narcoossees on Friday night after we arrive

I've been trying to find a dress for the dessert party and I have been stuck on this one...

MaggieDress.jpg

But.......it's a retired Maggie Sottero dress so I can only find replicas from questionable sites :sad2:

My MOH will be coming down the first week in Aug so it's our goal to find a dress and if that doesn't work well then I will just try to make something similar to the Maggie dress!

I absolutely love your invitations! And the white dessert party dress is stunning!

Hi everyone!!
It’s been quite awhile since I updated on here :guilty: So here's a short update...I have more so I'm trying to put everything together for a longer one

I sent all the invitations out, we are waiting on 4 responses still. I’m glad I made the RSVP date earlier than really needed so it gives us time to hunt people down. So far we have 39 adults over 21 and 5 under 21 (41 including us…although I think we should be free not that Disney would ever allow that)

Most of our guests are staying off Disney Property, good news is that we save $800+ since we don’t need to provide a chartered bus now…bad news is we so far have not met our room minimum…I’m hoping someone on the DisBoards will be able to help with that. We are 5 nights away from meeting our minimum.

My MOH came down for almost a week earlier this month, poor thing lost her job the day before she flew out. She knew it was coming but it was still funny timing. She worked for Verizon in customer service, she received several awards; Verizon decided to streamline and move her and others to sales. She’s not a salesperson she is customer service so when she didn’t meet their required numbers for 3 months they let her go. She’s looking at it as a blessing in disguise to figure out what she wants to do with her life.

We went shopping a few times, because well you have to! We found a dress at JCPennys that I told her she had to try on, it was on clearance for $14. It’s a great dress!
We ran all over town looking for a bustier for me, we finally found one! The hardest problem I was having was finding one that was long enough…they all seemed to stop at my belly button, and of course there’s that tire underneath that I would prefer be hidden hahaha.
We went to my fitting appointment, it was a cheap alteration!! Yay!! $36 because all I needed was a bustle. It will be ready in Sept for me to pick up.
We also went to the mall and she took me into Swarovski ( I always try to avoid that store I love shiny things haha) I found two pairs of earrings that I couldn’t decide between in the store…mainly because of price. I came home and talked it over with Allen and have decided on the Phoebe earrings…Anyone know how to get a discount or coupon code for Swarovski?? http://www.swarovski.com/Web_US/en/...e_Light_Azore_Moonlight_Pierced_Earrings.html

We made my to-do list while driving and having lunch at Applebees…that was kind of stressful because I kept thinking of more things and the list kept growing and growing.

I ordered the engravable picture frame as our guestbook…we were at a friends house a couple weeks ago and they had done a photo mat that everyone signed. I liked how it’s something that could always be on display but I liked the engravable mat better (of course, I’ve learned I have champagne taste on a water budget hahaha) I did find it on Overstock.com cheaper than anywhere else and I used Ebates for 3% cash back and they had a coupon for 5% off your purchase. I also got the girls button down shirts for the day of, they were on clearance for less that $7 each.

Speaking of girls…..one of my bridesmaids, the one locally and mom to flower girl & ring bearer, sent me an email a couple weeks ago letting me know that she is backing out as a bridesmaid and will not be attending the wedding due to finances. She was hoping I wouldn’t be mad at her, which I wasn’t I understand finances….I was hurt that she didn’t feel she could tell me in person. We work at the same office so I see her 3 times a week…I’m sad they won’t be able to come and I’m disappointed I won’t be having a flower girl because her dress was so stinking cute I was so excited to see it in pictures with the girls dresses in contrast. Oh well though what can you do?
My sister will be taking her place though so that’s a great thing! She’s so excited for me and DF and genuinely happy for us. We picked up her dress and MOH's dress while she was here visiting, I sent them off to her this week. Here’s MOH in the bridesmaids dress….
MaryAnn.jpg

Love the dresses!! I think they will look so great in photos and with the pink flowers!

I finished our cake topper (FINALLY) today! I'll have to post pictures of that too. I also have my amazing shoes...I will hopefully post the other half of this update tomorrow
