Christian.....

I own two Bibles. One of them is for someone who is like ten. It explains a lot of stuff in it, it has explanations of things on the side. And then a regular one my mother got a long time ago for whatever protestants do when you're a certain age I guess.

I've read random passages. Most of Genesis, a greater part of Leviticus because thats' where most of the rules are... I've read the beginning of the New Testament...
And that passage on love in .. 2nd Corinthians?
And several psalms.

Ok, well there is alot to say about Jesus..so I'll start with His birth. God sent Jesus to earth, as a human being, to show the light to the world around Him. He was to preach the gospel(The Bible) to the 12 disciples. And they were the men who believed in Jesus' works and the miracles that He did. He healed the blind man, raised people from the dead, and other amazing things. So, let's get back to His birth. An angel, came to a young woman, of maybe 15ish, and told her that she would bear a son as a virgin. The angel said she would name him Jesus and He was the Son of God. Now, just think, some girl hearing this...she would not believe it. You cannot have a child without making love to a man. So she tried to believe it, but she worried about what her family would think. There was a young man, Joseph, who was picked by Mary's father, to marry her. She didn't want to marry at such a young age, but she was forced. Her family found out that she was pregnant, and thought horrible things about her. She was upset and wondering why God picked her to do such a task as this. Her and Joseph, traveled a long way to Bethlehem, by following the North star. That is where Jesus was to be born. When they got there, Mary was about to have the child and they couldn't find room at the Inn (or motel we would call it now). So she had baby Jesus where the sheep slept. And that's that part of the story. Then as Jesus grew older he would preach the Word of God to the people in Jerusalem. He would sit in a boat in the middle of a river and speak over the body of water so that hundreds of people could hear. When he turned 33, that was the year he would be crucified. Some of His own disciples denied Him. They were tempted with money, or even threatened to be killed for knowing Jesus. Then, Jesus was arrested for being a "false prophet" to all the people who wanted nothing to do with Him. There was a murderer that was in prison, and the King asked the people if they would rather let go the murderer or let Jesus free, and the people said "Crucify Jesus!! Let the murderer free!!". They mocked Him and the Roman soldiers beat Him with sharp metal nine tails, with broken glass, and sharp bones at the ends. It would rip His flesh off and yet, He still carried that wooden cross all the way to where He would be nailed to that cross. They put on Him, a crown of thorns and pushed it into His head. When they got to the hill where He would be crucified, they layed Him on the cross, hammered nails into both hands and His feet. They lifted up the cross and He hung there, taking in EVERY single sin that could ever be. He was inflicted with so much pain. He died shortly after being on that cross for hours. But, the story gets better. His mother Mary, and Mary Magdelin (the former prostitute that Jesus saved) them and a few others, wrapped Him up in white clothes, put Him in a stone walled grave. 3 days later Jesus ressurected from the dead and went to be with God the father. And now, Jesus will be returning to earth, but no one really knows when. We just need to be ready and pray that we get taken when the Rapture comes. The Rapture is when Jesus comes, and He takes all His children (those who believe in Him) up to Heaven. The rest of those on earth after that will go through the Tribulation, which will be horrible. There will be the Anti-Christ (who is a man that is really controlled by Satan to decieve people into thinking he is The Messiah (Jesus)). But, I think that those who go through the Tribulation, will have another chance to accept Christ, because He is so merciful. So, that's the story, not ALL detail, but alot. And if you really want to see something AMAZING, watch The Passion of The Christ.

I love the nativity story.
Really awesome.

P.S.

Did anyone loveee Veggie tails when they were little?

"Ohhh where is my hairbrush!?"

I totally love dem :)

I guess were talking about Bible's now...?
Even if we aren't.. I'll just say this anyway.

I own a Study Bible, its really great. It has Hebrew and Greek in it. Its pretty much brand new, I take good care of it. To me, its the best Bible I've ever owned. Its a New American Standard Bible. If you would like to know the name of the Bible, just ask me and I'll let you know. :)

I totally agree. He is the perfect lamb and He is just amazing as you said =)

Just curious Anne, but what do you mean "lamb"? Like, the animal that goes "Baaaa"? I'm confuzzled. :confused:

There are several passages in the Bible where Jesus is referred to as a lamb, or the lamb of God. Peter calls Jesus, "a lamb without blemish or defect" (1 Peter 1:19) and Paul calls Jesus the "Passover Lamb who has been sacrified" (1 Corinthians 5:7). When John the Baptist sees Jesus walking toward him for the first time, he exclaims, "Look, the Lamb of God!" (John 1:36). Throughout much of the book of Revelation, Jesus is referred to as a lamb. Angels proclaim, "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" (Revelation 5:12)

According to the law of Moses, the Jewish people offered animal sacrifices to God to attone for their sins. This was a temporary solution for the problem of sin, and sacrifices needed to be offered periodically to keep Jews in a right standing before God. One of the animals commonly sacrificed was a lamb. When Jesus was killed on the cross, He became the final and ultimate atonement sacrifice. For those who place their faith in Christ, his sacrifice covers all their sin and no other sacrifice to God is necessary. In this way, Christ was the sacrificial "lamb" who laid down his life for us.

Christ's role as the lamb of God was predicted by the prophet Isaiah hundreds of years before He came to offer His life. In chapter 53 verses 6-7, Isaiah writes

We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
