Big Fish - FFH

SCAT:
Do de dum da digga dum dum da dum
Do de dum da digga dwee ah
Do de dum da digga dum dum da dum
Do de dum da digga dum da um

CHORUS:
Are you in the big fish
Are you sitting in the belly of a world gone mad
Have you turned your back in His wish
On His will for your life, have you made Him sad
Do you want to get out of the big fish
Listen to God and follow His plan
And you won't be part of the main dish
He'll spit you out on to dry land

SCAT

You're one brick short of a load now brother
You're one shot away from a bullseye
You are missing the mark on your spiritual walk
You started walking away now you're sinking -
Into the deep, wake up from the sleep
See your one fry short of a happy meal
You are incomplete by your own deceit
You turned your back, now you're going swimming

SCAT

CHORUS

SCAT

You're sinking low how low can you go
So low that you don't know which way to go
To the truth or to the dare?
If you take the dare then you'll be swallowed there
But run to the truth and you will find
That a rescue arrives right in time
To pick you up back on your feet
Obedience is neat

Joseph's Song - Michael Card

How could it be
This baby in my arms
Sleeping now so peacefully
The Son of God the angel said
How could it be
Lord, I know he's not my own
Not of my flesh, not of my bones
Still Father let this baby be
The son of my love

Father show me where I fit into
This plan of Yours
How can a man be father to the Son of God
Lord, for all my life I've been a simple carpenter
How can I raise a king
How can I raise a king

He looks so small
His face and hands so fair
And when he cries the sun just seems to disappear
But when he laughs
It shines again
How could it be

Father show me where I fit into
This plan of Yours
How can a man be father to the Son of God
Lord, for all my life I've been a simple carpenter
How can I raise a king
How can I raise a king

How could it be
This baby in my arms
Sleeping now so peacefully
The Son of God the angel said
How could it be

This is what I'm listening to right now. :sunny:

Michael O'Brien - All Is Forgiven

She was caught up in the middle
Of a sad tragedy
Found in the depths of her shame
An angry mob stood before her
As she fell to her knees
They were picking up the stones
And placing the blame
She was lost with fear in her eyes
Until the man named Jesus
Came and said child arise

CHORUS
All is forgiven
I've heard your plea
My grace has cleansed your heart
My love has set you free
All is forgiven
My mercy's the open door
All is forgiven
Go sin no more

I was just like the woman
Who was found on that day
Seemed there was no hope
For someone like me
And I could do nothing
To wash the sin away
I was chained to the guilt
And longed to be free
I was so lost with fear in my eyes
Until this man named Jesus
Came and said child arise

CHORUS

Hallelujah.....He's coming back for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truth - Just Like He Said He Would

Just like He said He would
He's coming back for me
In the twinkling of, In the twinkling of an eye
Just like He said He would
He's coming back for me
He's going to take me to my mansion
Take me to my mansion in the sky

When the trumpet sounds
He's coming back for me
In the twinkling of, in the twinkling of an eye
When the trumpet sounds
He's coming back for me
He's going to take me to my mansion
Take me to my mansion in the sky

He said if I go away, I'll come again someday
To receive you unto myself
But while I'm gone away
I'll be building you a place
And I'm coming back to take you there
To take you there, I'm gonna take you there

But when you hear the trumpet sound
That's when the dead in Christ, They're gonna rise
We shall see Him in all of His glory, in the twinkling of an eye
We gonna meet Him in the sky
Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelu

Just like He said He would
He's coming back for me
In the twinkling of, In the twinkling of an eye
Just like He said He would
He's coming back for me
He's going to take me to my mansion
Take me to my mansion in the sky

I think more christians need to read these lyrics and see the urgency to win people to Jesus.

Lewis Crystal lyrics
People Get Read Jesus Is Coming

Verse 1:
Lord I'm ready now; I'm waiting for you triumphant return .
(You're coming so soon).
This world has nothing for me,
I find my peace and joy solely in You. (Only in You).
I want the world to see, You're alive and living well in me.
Let me be a part, of the harvest for the days are few.
(You're coming soon).

Chorus:
People get ready, Jesus is coming, soon we'll be going home.
People get ready, Jesus is coming to
take from the world his own.
People get ready, Jesus is coming, soon we'll be going home.
People get ready, Jesus is coming, soon we'll be going home.
(We'll be going home).

Verse 2:
Theres a day that comes when we will be divided right and left.
(For those who know Him and those that do not know).
And those that know Him well, will meet Him in the air.
Hallelujah! (God is within us).
And those that do not know, they will hear "Depart! I knew you not."
For my friends you see, there will be a day when we'll be counted.
So know Him well, know Him well.

Chorus

(To take His own, to take His own...).
(We'll be going home, we'll be going home...).

For my friends you see, there will be a day when
we'll be counted. So know him well, know him well.

{Chorus and fade away}

Good morning all!

Thought I would see if anyone here might know the rest of this song.....it is played at the end of Storybook Hour with Uncle Bob Devine

I am not descendant of monkey
Though you may be fooled at first glance
I am the work of God my Creator
I am not a product of chance

I did not evolve from a tad pole....

(that's all I know, have already checked to see if they offer cassettes of the broadcasts and they don't) Would love to have this song on CD or cassette to teach to our Children's Church

TIA

Hello all! Where has everyone been? :Pinkbounc

Was watching a reshowing of the Dove Awards Sunday afternoon (I think) and this group was on there......I really like this song

Casting Crowns - Voice of Truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
On to the crashing waves

To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again, "Boy, You'll never win!"
"You'll never win!"

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again, "Boy, You'll never win!"
"You'll never win!"

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves aren't looking so high
From on top of them lookin' down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

Repeat Chorus

I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

Selah also performed this song, I've heard it many times but it was so powerful, the way it was performed live.

When I am Down - Selah

When I am down, and oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until You come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up—to more than I can be

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up—to more than I can be

There is no life—no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But when you come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up—to more than I can be

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up—to more than I can be

Jonathon Pierce - All I Know Is That You Love

All I know is that You love me
You have redemed my soul in peace
All I know, You died to save me
That is the reason I believe

All I know is I can't take my eyes of You
For a minute of a day
Lest the tempter rest his hold on me
Won't let my heart turn away

All I know is that you're God
You are ruler of my heart and soul
My every breath will rise to praise You
And with my heart I will adore

Your word alone it is eternal
It's preserved inside my heart
But should it pass into tomorrow
All I know is that You love

All I know is that You love me
My tears are bottled in Your care
Your mercy blots out my transgressions
And my heart takes a comfort there

It's a truth for all the ages
And a people yet to be
There is One who formed the heavens
He reaches down to one like me

All I know is that you're God
Your ruler of my heart and soul
My every breath will rise to praise You
And with my heart I will adore

Your word alone it is eternal
It's preserved inside my heart
But should it pass into tomorrow
All I know is that You love

All I know is that You love

All I know is that You love me

All I know is that You're God
Your ruler of my heart and soul
My every breath will rise to praise You
And with my heart I will adore

Your word alone it is eternal
It's preserved inside my heart
But should it pass into tomorrow
All I know is that You love

All I know is that You love

All I know is that You love me

All I know is that You love

The Coloring Song/Petra

Red is the color of the blood that flowed
Down the face of someone who loved us so
He's the perfect man, He's the Lord's own Son
He's the Lamb of God, He's the only one
Who can give us life, Who can make us grow
That can make the love between us flow.

Blue is the color of a heart so cold
It will not bend when the story's told
Of the love of God for a sinful race
Of the blood that flowed down Jesus face
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can keep our hearts from growing cold.

Gold is the color of the morning sun
That shines so freely an every one
It's the sun above that keeps us warm
It's the Son of love that calms the storm
That can give us life that can make us grow,
That can turn our mornings into gold.

Brown is the color of the autumn leaves
When the winter comes to the barren trees
There is birth, there is death, there is a plan
And there's just one God, and there's just one man
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can make our sins as white as snow

That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can turn our mornings into gold.
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can keep our hearts from growing cold.
That can give us life, that can make us grow
That can make the love between us flow.

I don't know if you guys know or not but Petra is officially calling it quits at the end of the year. They've been around for 33 years now, that's a pretty decent run. I'm sorry to hear that there won't be any more albums from them in the future but at least they're going out with a bang. Jekyll & Hyde is their best album in quite a few years and is definitely what the band is known for and will always be remembered for. They will always be my favorite Christian Rock group. May God bless them richly for the years they devoted to the ministry and the lives that were touched through their obedience to their calling.

:grouphug: Thanks so much Michelle for the lyrics to that song! Petra is the first contemporary Christian music we ever heard (we used to be metal heads so our pastor gave us some Petra CD's) - now it is the only thing we listen too. Petra was our pastors (when we were at another church) favorite group and we got to go with him and see them in concert here....it was right after Bob Hartman had left the group (somewhere in the 90's) and he was actually there at that show and pastor got to meet him.....he was so excited. I'm sorry to here they won't be around for future concerts, etc. They sure have been a blessing to so many people though!

Hi All,

I'm new to this thread. I am looking for the lyrics for the Janet Paschall version of God will Make a Way. There is also a Don Moen version, that's not the same though.

Some of the lyrics are

God will make a way
When there seems to be no way
Forever He is faithful

Peace!

Susan

P.S. I did a search and I couldn't find it on this tread or board!

petra certainly were one of the giants in ccm. i saw them a couple of times, late seventies and early eighties, so i had the good fortune to hear greg x volz sing those wonderful songs, still got my vinyl of those early albums, being a rocker i just loved those jesus music groups and artists, too bad most of those guys are giving it up, but the music is indestructible.

prayers to all those in the hurricane affected areas, may God be ya'll.

Here is the story & song I posted over on the BAC thread last week. I'll see if I can find the Janet Paschall version, this is the one by Don Moen.

I was looking on the net for some lyrics to a Don Moen song from the album God With Us, the song I was looking for I think on the album is called doxology (not positive) but it goes through the different ways God is known in each chapter of the Bible.....great song. While looking for it (haven't found it yet) I came across the following story on his web site. I have heard this song (whole set "God With Us") performed and also have the cassette (yeah, it's old) but I thought I would share it with everyone. If you have never heard this whole album and can find a copy.....get it.....it is a great listen from beginning to end. It is God With Us and put out by Integrity Music.....here's the story I came across and the lyrics follow.

Late one evening, Don Moen received a phone call with devastating news: his wife’s sister had lost her oldest son in an automobile accident. Craig and Susan Phelps and their four sons were traveling through Texas on their way to Colorado when their van was struck broadside by an eighteen-wheeler truck. All four boys were thrown from the van.
Craig and Susan located their sons by their cries – one boy was lying in the ditch, another in an area wet from melted snow. Nearby was his brother who landed by a telephone pole. All were seriously injured, but when Craig, a medical doctor, reached Jeremy, he found him lying by a fence post with his neck broken. There was nothing Craig could do to revive him.

When Don received the news of this tragedy a few hours later, he recalls, “My whole world came to a standstill, but I had to get on a plane the next morning and fly to a recording session that had been scheduled for several weeks. Although I knew Craig and Susan were hurting, I couldn’t be with them until the day before the funeral.

“During the flight the morning after the accident, God gave me a song for them: ‘God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way for me.’ The song was based upon Isaiah 43:19 NASB – ‘Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.’”

This song would bring comfort to Craig and Susan when all hope seemed lost. It touched the hurt in their hearts with hope and encouragement. Don received a letter from Susan in which she quoted Isaiah 43:4 NASB: “Since you are precious in My sight, since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.”

Susan wrote, “ We’ve seen the truth of the scripture.” When Jeremy’s friends learned that he had accepted Jesus into his life before he died, many of them began to ask their own parents how they could be assured of going to heaven when they died. The accident also prompted Craig and Susan into a deeper walk with the Lord as well as into new avenues of ministry. Craig began teaching Sunday school at their church and Susan became active in Women’s Aglow, sharing with various groups her story and the Lord’s provision in her time of sorrow.

She has since said, “The day of the accident, when I got out of the van, even before I knew our son was dead, I knew I had a choice. I could be bitter and angry or I could totally accept God and whatever He had for us. I had to make the decision fast. I’ve seen fruit come as a result of that choice. If I had to, I’d do it again. It’s worth knowing others will go to heaven because of what happened to Jeremy. God really did make a way for us!”

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He cares for you
He understands
He’ll hold you in His loving hands
He will do for you what no other friend can do
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness
He’ll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way
God will make a way
He will make a way

***** On the recorded song......Don Moen comes in intermittently and tells this story, as well as a couple of other testimonies from some of the other singers.....very moving. The church we saw do it live....did the same concept with members of the choir coming forward and giving testimony about God making a way in their lives.....

Thanks live4christp1. Don Moen's is a lot more popular! I downloaded the JP one, the words are different, and now I need the lyrics for church. I searched and searched online with no luck. I will try to get a copy of the cd from the library!

Thanks again!

Peace,
Susan

:sunny: Hey Susan, I think I found it......let me know if this is the right one. Also, I found Janet's website, I didn't know she had been diagnosed with breast cancer until reading there. Everyone please keep her in your prayers.

God Will Make A Way
By Janet Paschal

Must have felt strange to end up stranded between an army and the sea
They must have felt forsaken wondering why God wasn't all He said He'd be
When your back's against the wall
It's the hardest place of all
But somewhere between provisions and impossibility

Chorus

God will make a way
When there seems to be no way
Forever He is faithful
He will make a road
When you bear a heavy load
I know, God will make a way

Bridge

When a wall of circumstances leaves you crying in the night
And you struggle til your strength is almost gone
God will gently hold you in the shelter of His heart
And carve a road for you to carry on.
So carry on

Wow! How powerful! I really needed this. :flower:

:sunny: Hugs & prayers to you disneyaggie, though I have know idea what you might be facing, God does.....I pray He comforts you today!

I found the entire song lyrics.......I love this chorus, I keep it posted on my desk at work......reminding me that no matter what.....God has a plan for my life!

All things work for the good

though sometimes we can't

see how they could

struggles that break our hearts in two

sometimes blind us to the truth

Our Father knows what's best for us

His ways are not our own

so when your pathway grows dim

and you just can't see him,

remember He's still on the throne

Chorus:

God is too wise to be mistaken

God is too good to be unkind

So when you don't understand

When don't see his plan

When you can't trace his hand

Trust His Heart

He sees the master plan

He holds the future in his hand,

Don't live as those who have no hope,

while our hope is found in him.

We see the present clearly

but he sees the first and last

and like a tapestry He's weaving you and me,

to someday be just like him

(Chorus)

He alone is faithful and true

He alone knows what is best for you

(Chorus)

When you can't trace his hand

When you don't see his plan

When you don't understand

Trust His Heart
