Originally posted by sm4987 Good afternoon all. I'm not sure how many of youare familiar with Bishop T.D. Jakes, but in case you are, or even if your not, there is a great moving coming out Oct. 1 called Woman Thou Art Loosed. It deals with domestic violence and child abuse issues. It only starting off on 400 screens, but is already gaining national attention. I just thought that as a Christian movie, that you all might be interested in hearing about it.

Since you brought up TD Jakes and his movie the Dallas Morning News will profile him in this coming Saturday's paper in the Religion section.

On a totally unrelated subject I just viewed the beheading of American Eugene Armstrong :( We all know that we should keep our troops in our prayers (that's obvious), but don't forget about the thousands of foreign workers like Mr. Armstrong in Iraq at the moment too-they live in an extremely dangerous enviroment. I believe these terrorists have another American and a Brit in their custody-pray for them and their families.

The really sad part of this is that these Muslim terrorists sincerely believe that what they are doing is good and that they are following God. One day these terrorists will die, then they will wake up to find what the true meaning of "terror" is. By then it will be too late for them to attain salvation and they will be eternally separated from God Almighty :(.

In Hollywood news it appears that Britney Spears married her beau, Kevin Federline, this weekend. I'll pose the question that the world is thinking: how long will this marriage last?

In football news Brian Clough has died. Here is the BBC Obituary for him. :(

Diane, it is a good reminder to keep all American's in Iraq in our prayers, I try to do it daily, thank you for reminding us how important it is.

Just for fun, what's everyone listening to right now?

I am listening to Petra's Never Say Die/Washes Whiter Than double cd. Good stuff! ::yes::

:p That cracked me up, Michelle. lol ;)

Oh yeah, to answer you question: I'm not listening to any music right now. Just the chirping of crickets outside. Is that what they do? Chirp? What do you call it? :listen:

Yes, that is what crickets do, they chirp, but don't confuse it with the way birds chirp, it's not the same. Well, unless it's a bird impersonating a cricket then you just never know....

Dude!! Have you seen the nature shows where the birds impersonate the sound of a chain saw???????? Ok, so when I heard it I almost wigged out. That was just about too much. LOL ;) So way amazing. It's just this one type of bird that can do it. I have no idea which kind of bird it is, though. :)

Hey, maybe that's it. It's just the craziest thing!!

I forgot to take a nap today, can you believe it? I hope you don't kick me out of the club... :faint:

I'm going to bed, talk to ya later! I'll probably dream about mynah birds impersonating chainsaws impersonating crickets. :crazy2:

No, you may remain in the club. I, too, missed my obligatory nap

I hope you sleep well. That's gonna be some kind of dream if you dream about that bird! lol

You are forever in my life
You see me through the seasons
Cover me with Your hand
And lead me in Your righteousness
And I look to You
And I wait on You

I will sing to You, Lord
A hymn of love
For Your faithfulness to me
Im carried in everlasting arms
You'll never let me go
Through it all

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah</Font>

Morning Dudey! Thanks for not kicking me out of the club! I'll try to do better today, have to get in a good nap so I'll be nice and alert for that Big Brother finally tonight! :teeth:

Good morning! :) Yes, a nap is most definitely in store for today.

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.

You guys are crazy!!! Dan knows everything about birds...well being an only child I sometimes am tempted to believe he knows everything about EVERYTHING...but that's besides the point...I'll have to ask him!

Jeanne, I heard about that awful flooding! :( I am so sorry you were evacuated...a lot of people my way were in trouble too from the Delaware overflowing into all of the smaller rivers and creeks. We don't live near any major flood zones so we were OK. I am praying for you...I hope things are getting better and that you didn't sustain too much damage.

Jen and Michelle, I did manage to sleep for 20 minutes yesterday in-between running from work to a back to school night...does that count? I had NO dreams about anything abnormal...too tired to dream!!!! This has been the craziest week SO FAR this school year...I hope it gets better.

I am listening to Rita Springer now! :)

I know this is the CM thread and I'm not sure if this makes me less Christian...but I like CSI...I do NOT HAVE to absolutely watch it like some Big Brother fans I know, but I like to watch it and I don't watch much on TV. I watch the CSI Las Vegas and Miami and now there is a new on from NY but I don't know if I'll get into that one... that would be THREE nights I don't have time for!
Well anyway on CSI Miami they just had the season opener and they killed off one of my favorite characters...Tim Speedle. Does anyone here watch it who can relate??? I know this is totally stupid but there were worse characters they could've killed off. I was so shocked a month ago to find out that my MIL watches the CSI's too...and I thought we had so little in common! I know Lucy Swindoll like CSI so I guess it can't be all bad! I am just a science nut I guess!

OK...tangent over...now totally getting back to the THREAD TOPIC...Here's a song that's been on my mind...

Your love is life to me my truest longing my deepest need without it
one moment I dont know where Id be your love is life to me

Bread for my body light for my eyes all that i need u daily provide
deep in my being more than my blood my very exsistence depends
on your love

Your love is life to me my truest longing my deepest need yeah without it
one moment I dont know where Id be your love is life to me

moment by moment I am aware of your tender mercies and your
constant care my hope and my strength thru all of my days i see
so clearly in so many ways

Your love is life to me
my truest longing my deepest need yeah
without it one moment
I don't know where I'd be
your love is life to me

your love is a river flowing to the sea and the river runs forever
and watches over me

Your love is life to me
my truest longing my deepest need yeah
without it one moment
I don't know where I'd be
your love is life to me
