No apologies
For who I'm meant to be
The only thing that matters is
I am free
When I am overwhelmed
Holding pieces of my heart
When I feel my world
Start to fall apart

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become
Undone

Even in defeat
The face of tragedy
Still you'd have to say that
I found victory
In brokenness comes beauty
Divine fragility
Reminding me of nail scarred hands
Reaching out for me

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become
Undone

Hallelujah I'm undone!

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become

To the cross I run
Holding high my chains undone
Now I am finally free
Free to be what I've become
Undone

To the cross I run
To be what I've become
And I'm undone

Sarah, unfortunately proxy sleep doesn't seem to have the same effect as real sleep. :o

Sis, I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.

Hey Fur! And thank you! princess: does have weird dreams and I think they are rubbing off on me! ::yes::

Hey Jeanne! :wave2:

Where's Jilly? I miss her. ::yes::

and i think that it is funny that pm would say that parents of her generation would say that the music was evil, i thought that that bromide would have been tired by then, but i think that you are on to something with your second reason. people do tend to relate to what is popular at the time of their conversion and not even realize that ccm existed before that.

ok a chicken or egg ? is this because the radio doesn't play the old stuff or do radio stations not play the old stuff because more people don't know the music?

oh well if you want to introduce friends to a real ccm forefather look for a cd entitled one way the music of larry norman, these are great songs performed by younger artists, geoff moore and the distance, dctalk, jars of clay, etc.

see next post

why should the devil have all the good music?

i want people to know that he saved my soul, but i still like to listen to the radio. they say "rock and roll is wrong we'll give you one more chance" i sat i feel so good i got to get up and dance.

i know what's right, i know what's wrong, i don't confuse it, all i'm really trying to say is why should the devil have all the good music? i feel good every day cause jesusu is the rock and he rolled my blues away.

they say to cut my hair, they're drivin' me insane, i grew it out to make room for my brain, but sometimes i people don't understand what' a good boy doing in a rock and roll band?

there's nothing wrong with playing blues licks but if you got a reason tell me to my face why should the devil have all the good music there'd nothing wrong with the music that i play jesus is the rock and he rolled my blues away.

i ain't knockin the hymns just give me a song thatg has a beat, i ain't knocking the hymnsjust give me a song that moves my feet. i don't like none of these funeral marches, i ain't dead yet.

jesus told the truth, jesus showed the way. there's one thing i'd like to say they nailed him to the cross they laid him in the ground, but they shoulda known you can't keep a good man down.

i fel good every day i don't wanna lose it all i wanna all i wanna know is why should the devil have all the good music. i been filled i feel okay, jesus is the rock and he rolled my blues away, jesus is the rock and he rolled my blues away, jesus is the rock and he rolled my blues away.

--larry norman, sung to the tune of why should the devil have all the good music

the first part of my post did not copy over.

but i said that i got nothing wrong with p&w music, i love singing them in services, and i remember when maranatha music! and hosanna were new, but i would like to hear something on the radio besides songs that were written last month and nothing older than that.

does anyone else wonder why every secular rock album ever cut is available on cd, but old ccm albums are not rereleased?

and i am finding it a little disconcerting to find out one of my favorite ccm artists, chuck girard, has a daughter, alisa, in one of dd's favorite groups, zoegirl. i am sooooo old!

Hey Kim,
It's not us, it's the HOLY SPIRIT!
Shine on, JESUS!

Morning All! You all sang some great songs last night!

Phil, I have that Larry Norman tribute cd. Love it! I actually found a website one time, I was looking for an old Mylon album and this place actually had it, the record mind you, not a cd. I can't even remember how much they wanted for it but it was well over 100.00. I couldn't believe it.

Kim, if we're awesome it's only because we serve the Awesome God! ::yes::

I'll post the daily Psalm when I get to work in a few minutes! See ya'll soon!

:wave2:

I'm baaaaacccckkkkk!

Phil, something else I forgot to mention. When I was a teenager, so we're talking in the 90's here. I had a Youth Pastor who was so dead set against any type of "Christian Rock". The only person who's music was acceptible to him was Keith Green, now I love Keith Green but it was all Gary listened too. If you so much as mentioned Petra (who were like the biggest thing at that time) in his presence you would be given a lecture on the evils of "Christian Rock". It was kind of funny actually, we would talk about all these groups just to see the veins in Gary's head start throbbing. He was not an older person either, he was in his late 20's. Him and his wife both thought that Contemporary or Rock music, even though labeled Christian was just the worst thing ever. I find it really humorous since Keith Green was kind of a rebel in his time and Gary had nothing but appreciation for his music.

Okay, onto the Psalm of the day!

May 25, 2004

"Righteousness shall look down from heaven." Psalms 85:11

Perhaps that's why it's always so beautiful looking up!

Kim, you are so encouraging!

God's designs regarding you, and His methods of bringing about these designs, are infinitely wise. Madame Guyon

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Lord I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your eyes are always on me and You never tire of thinking about me.
You are the Lover of my soul.
You have laid Your hand upon me.
You rejoice over me with singing.
You are the Lifter of my head.
You delight in me.
All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.
You are my Strong Tower.
You are my Reward.
You restore me.
Your mercies are new every single morning.
You light the way for me. You are The Way!
Jesus, there is none beside You!
You are the name above all names.
You are holy and You are worthy.
Jesus You sit at the right hand of the Father and constantly make intercession for me.
You have forgiven my sins and have covered me in Your blood.
You give me abundant life.
I honor You!
I worship You!
I love you!
And I join with the angels in singing Worthy is the Lamb!

Sheree', thank you for that beautiful reminder! :)

I just needed to remind myself of that. Sometime I know that we all get in the habit of trying to do God's work for him. However, I realize that when I take my hands off of it and allow God to do his work, it comes out so much better than I ever could have done.::yes::

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

And you all posted some wonderful songs! ::yes::

I Need You/ Sonic Flood

You know who I am inside
You know when I lie
You can tell when I'm amazed
You can see my faith
You know when I don't believe
You know when I'm free
You can tell when I need love
You know I'm in need
Love, I need love
You are love
I need You
Love, You are love
I need love
I need You
You know of my deepest fear
You know when I'm scared
You can read my empty page
You can feel my rage
You're aware of when I dream
You see when I bleed
You can tell when I need love
You know I'm in need
CHORUS
I know we need You, Father
Much more than any other
Your love brings us together
We need You, we need You
CHORUS
Love, we need love
You are love
We need You
Love, You are love
We need love
We need You I need You

Hey everyone! What great discussions, songs and Scripture!

Just popping in for a quick "hi". Spring is so busy for me....as it is for most Moms!

Thanks for the reminder that "all things work together for good....." Things aren't going well here (well, not as I planned) so I'm waiting to see how it all works out in the end. God's plans are always best and His timing is always perfect!
