hi everybody,

cristy, i've got the larry norman tribute cd "one way" which has the dctalk version of "i wish we'd all been ready", and they did a good job with that one, as did all the artist s on the cd. i do love the original larry norman alb ums and wish that they would do a box set of "so long ago the garden", "in another land", and "only visiting this planet". larry was such a magnificent witness for God, i only pray that he gets better and maybe can go back out to take the message to the people once again.

take me closer - phil keaggy

take me closer to your side, take me closer to you.
take me closer to your side, take me closer to you.
your love is like the dawn, beautiful as the moon.
your love is as pure as the sun, keeping all life in tune with you.
i love you , Lord.

you're the source of my life, sweet Jesus.
bringing forth the good fruit.
like a branch clinging to the vine, so i'm clinging to you.
i need you, Lord.

i love you, Lord.

love the words, and the guitar solo from pk is just killer.

rejoice - phil keaggy

now the time of the harvest is near.
don't be blind and take heed how you hear.
now there're many saying which way to go and you listen.
but still you don't know.

he's the shepherd that will give
you rest, all ye heavy ladened.
he who asks will receive and
all who seek will find him.
can you dig what this means!
all the saints in heaven above
rejoice when there is a soul saved.
all the angels in heaven above
rejoice when there is a soul saved.

don't close your eyes.
let not your heart become cold.
what has been said is what has to be told
don't be deceived, let the blind lead the blind.
but now receive and life you will find.

he's the shepherd that will give
you rest, all ye heavy ladened.
he who asks will receive and
all who seek will find him.
can you dig what this means!
all the saints in heaven above
rejoice when there is a soul saved.
all the angels in heaven above
rejoice when there is a soul saved.

all true saints of Jesus Christ
rejoice when there is a soul saved.
all true saints of Jesus Christ
rejoice when there is a soul saved.
all the angels in heaven above
rejoice when there is a soul saved.

:sunny: Good morning everyone! :sunny:
It's a beautiful day here in Tennessee and we had a fantastic time in Nashville, thanks for all your well wishes!

Here's on of my favorite PCD songs......I know, they are all my favorite..........not sure what the title of this one is.

Lord, I wish I could praise You with adequate words
But You leave me speachless
And I so long to sing You the song You deserve
But it would be endless
I long to move Your heart
I bring You somthing new
I tell how great You are
Till my praise to You...

CHORUS:
Is like an ocean breeze blowing on Your face
Like a summer sun with its warm embrace
Like a gentle rain plays a symphony
That's what I want my praise to be
Like a fragrant rose in the early spring
Like an eagle soars when it spreads it wings
Whatever, Lord, You may need from me
That's what I want my praise to be
To You

Everything I could give, You already possess
Lord, I'm so unworthy, yeah
I'm just one of the millions to stand and confess
And yet still You hear me
Your heart is open wide
You long for what I bring
I pray somehow, You'll find this simple offering...

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day! :sunny:

Psalm 25:1-2,4-5 - To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (NIV)

:sunny: Hello Everyone :sunny:

Point of Grace - You Will Never Walk Alone

Along life's road
There will be sunshine and rain
Roses and thorns, laughter and pain
And 'cross the miles
You will face mountains so steep
Deserts so long and valleys so deep
Sometimes the Journey's gentle
Sometimes the cold winds blow
But I want you to remember
I want you to know

You will never walk alone
As long as you have faith
Jesus will be right beside you all the way
You may feel you're far from home
But home is where He is
And he'll be there down every road
You will never walk alone
The path will wind
And you will find wonders and fears
Labors of love and a few falling tears
Across the years
There will be some twists and turns
Mistakes to make and lessons to learn
Sometimes the journey's gentle
Sometimes the cold winds blow
But I want you to remember where ever you may

Jesus knows your joy, Jesus knows your need
He will go the distance with you faithfully

Hey Cristy, I love that Point of Grace song(all though I really like and love a lot of there songs)! It is soooooooo awesome to know that we are never really alone, that Jesus is ALWAYS with us~no matter what! Just knowing that makes me feel really good and happy! :goodvibes

Here's another Point of Grace song, that I really like~

Who Am I?

Over time you've healed so much in me, I am living proof
That although my darkest hour had come
Your light could still shine through
Though at times it's just enough to cast a shadow on the wall
Well I am grateful that you shine a light on me at all

Chorus:
Who am I . . . that you would love me so gently?
Who am I . . . that you would recognize my name?
Lord, who am I . . . that you would speak to me so softly?
Conversation with the Love most high . . . who am I?

Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind but now I see
And the more I sing that sweet old song the more I understand
That I do not comprehend this love that's coming from your hand . . .

Chorus

Grace, grace God's grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's great grace
Grace that is greater than all my sin

Chorus

Lord, who am I?
Who am I?
Who am I?

And I really love this Point of Grace song.....

Circle Of Friends

We were made to love and be loved
But the price this world demands will cost you far too much
I spent too many lonely years just trying to fit in
Now I've found a place in this circle of friends
In a circle of friends we have one Father
In a circle of friends we share this prayer
That every orphaned soul will know
And all will enter in
To the shelter of this circle of friends

If you weep, I will weep with you
If you sing for joy the rest of us will lift our voices too
But no matter what you feel inside there's no need to pretend
That's the way it is in this circle of friends

In this circle of friends we have one Father
In a circle of friends we share this prayer
That we'll gather together no matter how the highway bends
I will not lose this circle of friends

Among the nations, tribes and tongues we have sisters and brothers
And when we meet in heaven we will recognize each other
With joy so deep and love so sweet
Oh, we'll celebrate these friends
And a life that never ends

In a circle of friends we have one Father
In a circle of friends we share this prayer
That it will not be long before
All will enter in
To the shelter of this circle of friends
That it will not be long before
All will enter in
To the shelter of this circle of friends

Good Morning Sarah :sunny:

I'm a big Point of Grace fan also, loved the songs you posted! Have seen them in concert a couple of times and last year we took the young ladies in our Word of Life group to the Girls of Grace conference. It was great! We had two ladies who gave their lives to the Lord while we were there.

Here's a favorite from their Girls of Grace collection

TRUST IN THE LORD (Based on one of my favorite verses)

CHORUS:
Trust, trust in the Lord
Lean not on your own understanding
In all, all of your ways
Acknowledge Him
He'll make your path straight

You'll be my guide for life
I'll walk by Your side
With Your hand in mine
I'll go where You lead me

CHORUS

My eyes can only see
The ground beneath my feet
Your dreams are greater
Your ways are higher
O Lord please show me

CHORUS

Bless my thoughts
My dreams my imaginations
Step by step
Your delight, Your creation

CHORUS

:sunny: Good Morning Cristy :sunny:

That is so cool that you got to see Point of Grace in concert, I would love to see them! And that is sooooooo awesome that two of the ladies that went with you gave their lives to Jesus! I really like the song you posted!

Maybe Point of Grace will be at Disney's Night of Joy this year, that would be really cool! I am going to it for the first time, I can't wait!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc Night of Joy is Sept.9th and 10th at Disney's Magic Kingdom. There is going to be a lot of big Christian Music artists there.

I hope you have and wonderful day! :)

Sarah - I hope you have a great time at WDW, would love to go down for that event but we usually take ours during the March spring break. DS goes to a private school affiliated with a college so they get out earlier than most of the public schools for Spring Break. They have a big 4 day festival about 2 hours from here every summer, Atlanta Fest, would love to go to it as well.

Reading some of the other posts today on the CB got me to thinking about this song.....and how so many times we are accused of being hateful or judgemental or trying to force our beliefs on others, when I think most of us have heavy hearts because we know the end of the story, we know who wins and what happens to those not on the winning team. Don't ever want to become so callous that I don't have a burden for lost souls......here's what's on my heart.

Cristy

Scott Kripayne - What breaks your heart

Want to get to know You better
I want to understand what matters to You
I want to know what moves You deeply
I want to see the world the way You do

What breaks Your heart
What makes You cry
What would I see
If I looked through Your eyes
I want to grow closer and closer to You
'Til what breaks Your heart
Will break mine too

Don't want to be numb to injustice
Don't want to get used to the evil I see
Don't want to grow cold to those who wander
Or forget about those who don't believe

CHORUS

Sometimes You weep with us
In the things that we go through
I long for tenderness
So that I might weep with You (at)

CHORUS

:sunny: Hello everyone! It's almost time to go home! :sunny:
Have a great evening everyone.....we will be off to scouts!

SING WITH ME

Hands & Feet - Audio Adrenaline

An image flashed across my TV screen
Another broken heart comes in to view
I saw the pain and I turned my back
Why can't I do the things I want to?
I'm willing yet I'm so afraid
You give me strength
When I say

CHORUS:
I want to be Your hands
I want to be Your feet
I'll go where You send me
I'll go where You send me

REPEAT

And I try, yeah I try
To touch the world like You touched my life
And I find my way
To be Your hands

I've abandoned every selfish thought
I've surrendered every thing I've got
You can have everything I am
And perfect everything I'm not
I'm willing, I'm not afraid
You give me strength
When I say

CHORUS

This is the last time
I turned my back on You
From now on, I'll go so
Send me where You want me to
I finally have a mission
I promise I'll complete
I don't need excuses
When I am You hands and feet

I'm new here...but what a blessing this thread is!

This is the song that was sung at my dad's funeral in May 2004:

God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying his soldiers and molding a man.
Give thanks to the Lord, though your testing seems long
In darkness he giveth a song. (Chorus)

I could not see through the shadows ahead,
So I looked to the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day,
Then peace came, and tears fled away. (Chorus)

Now I can see testing comes from above
God strengthens his children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in his care
Through purging more fruit I will bear.

Chorus:
Oh rejoice in the Lord! He makes no mistakes.
He knoweth the end of each path that I take.
For when I am tried and purified
I shall come forth as gold.

This was my dad's favorite song, from the time I was a little girl. It was his inspiration while he battled cancer. Hope you all are blessed.

Hi All! Sarah, I will be thinking of you this weekend for your special day... so glad you are being baptised! God is so good. And I love that Point of Grace song "Circle of Friends".

Pour My Love On You

I don't know how to say exactly how I feel
And I can't begin to tell you what your love has meant
I'm lost for words
Is there a way to show the passion in my heart
Can I express how truly great I think you are
My dearest friend
Lord, this is my desire
To pour my love on You

Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
I'll pour my love on you

Is there a way to show the passion in my heart
Can I express how truly great I think you are
My dearest friend
Lord, this is my desire
To pour my love on you

Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
I'll pour my love on you

Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone

Pour my love on you
Yeah

Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone

Like oil upon your feet
Like wine for you to drink
Like water from my heart
I pour my love on you
If praise is like perfume
I'll lavish mine on you
Till every drop is gone
I'll pour my love on you

Pour my love on you
Yeah, yeah

Welcome saucymb and thanks for sharing your song. It was a blessing to me this morning. Is it a hymn? Don't think I have heard it before, but it was beautiful. Hope that you will stop in often and sing with us.

Hello Sarah and Jeanne-Happy Birthday! Wonderful songs you both posted as well, my day always brightens when I come to this thread. Love seeing those lyrics and start singing the song in my head.

Have a Wonderful Friday!!!!!!

THIS ONE'S WITH ME - NEWSONG

I was dreaming about heaven
Dreamed I was standing at the pearly gates
We were all there and I was so scared
In the prescence of one so great

I felt so very unworthy
I felt like running away
I bowed my head and I turned to go
When I heard someone say

CHORUS
Father this one's with me
Part of the family
One of the reasons I died on Calvary
Father welcome him in
I paid the price for him
Father, Oh Father, this one's with me

I was dreaming about heaven
When I looked up the gates were open wide
And in the distance I saw Jesus
Our eyes met and I began to cry

Angels robed in their beauty
Were there to show me the wy
And all of heaven was singing
When I heard His voice say

REPEAT CHORUS

Finally we were there face to face
And He placed on me heaven's crown
I fell down on my knees, laid my crown at His fet
And then He said tenderly

REPEAT CHORUS

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I Surrender All
Clay Crosse

I have wrestled in the darkness of this lonely pilgrim land
Raising strong and mighty fortresses that I alone command
But these castles I've constructed by the strength of my own hand
Are just temporary kingdoms on foundations made of sand
In the middle of the battle I believe I've finally found
I'll never know the thrill of victory 'til I'm willing to lay down
All my weapons of defense and earthly strategies of war
So I'm laying down my arms and running hopelessly to yours

I surrender all my silent hopes and dreams
Though the price to follow costs me everything
I surrender all my human soul desires
If sacrifice requires that all my kingdoms fall
I surrender all

If the source of my ambition is the treasure I obtain
If I measure my successes on a scale of earthly gain
If the focus of my vision is the status I attain
My accomplishments are worthless and my efforts are in vain
So I lay aside these trophies to pursue a higher crown
And should you choose somehow to use the life I willingly lay down
I surrender all the triumph for it's only by your grace
I relinquish all the glory, I surrender all the praise

Everything I am, all I've done, and all I've known
Now belongs to you, the life I live is not my own
Just as Abraham laid Issac on the sacrificial fire
If all I have is all that you desire
I surrender all

Hi Michelle,

Thanks so much for posting that song.....it is one of my all time Clay Crosse favorites and I have been looking for the lyrics everywhere. You were a blessing to me today!!!!

Now if anyone has the lyrics for this song by Truth, that would be great! "If You Could See Me Now" What a great ministry Truth was over the years....I had the priveledge to see them several times, always love offering only concerts, no admission price......I miss them. They had many songs I still consider favorites, "Living Life Upside Down" "Jesus Never Fails" "Send Me" "Wings of Eagles".....and the list goes on.

Here's just a fun song, not very spiritual but it has been going around in my head today. Started to add the last line of chorus to my siggy but thought I might offend someone.

:flower: SMILE IT'S FRIDAY AND WE ARE SAVED!!!!!!!! :flower:

Newsboys - Breakfast

Hold the milk, put back the sugar
They are powerless to console
WE've gathered here to sprinkle ashes
from out late friend's cereal bowl.

Breakfast Clubbers, say the motto
that he taught us to repeat;
"You will lose it in your gym class
if you wait 'till noon to eat."

Back when the Chess Club said out eggs were soft
every Monday he'd say grace as we hold our juice aloft
Oh, none of us knew his checkout time would come so soon
But before his brain stopped waving, he composed this tune:

When the toast is burned
and all the milk has turned
and captain crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
may this song remind you
that they don't serve breakfast in hell

Breakfast clubbers, drop the hankies
Though to some our friend was odd,
that day he bought those pine pajamas
his check was good with God.

Those here without the Lord,
how do you cope?
For this morning we don't mourn
like those who have no hope

Oh, rise up, Fruit Loop lovers -
sing out sweet & low
With spoons held high
we bid our brother, "Cheerio!"

When the toast is burned
and all the milk has turned
and captain crunch is waving farewell
When the big one finds you
may this song remind you
that they don't serve breakfast in hell
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I loved Truth. I have looked for some of my old cassettes on CD but I have never found them available. I bought a compilation, but alot of my favorites aren't on there. I don't remember the song you are looking for.

The Truth song goes something like this:

Our prayers have all been answered
I've finally arrived
The healing that had been delayed
Has now been realized

???????

Chorus is:
If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm standing tall and bold
If you could see me now
...........

That's as far as I can get, I do have the cassette somewhere, will have to dig it out. It is a song that was written for the founder's (Roger) BIL or B. He had become very ill and died at a very early age. One of the singers that had been with truth wrote the song for him.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I had a great day with my DH and the kids. It was so nice!
May His peace be upon you all...
