Morning All! :sunny:

Kim, thank you for your nice compliment and for visiting my website. The place where I host my site is www.homestead.com, they offer free sites in addition to ones you can pay for. I chose to do a pay site since I have so many things I eventually want to get up on it. It will have picture pages galore in the future (hopefully very near future  ). I'm really happy with the service they provide. ::yes::

Jeanne, definitely come back to the WISH board! We'll be looking for you!

Sheree', I love that song you were singing with your kids this morning! :)

Fur-face! Great scriptures! :)

Jilly-Boo, praying for your mom!

The Voice Of God/4HIM

I have dreamed of being Moses
Standing on the mountain top
When he heard the voice of God
And I admit that even sometimes
I’ve imagined I was Paul on the road to Damascus
When he heard the Savior's call

Though I have never heard God’s audible reply
I hear Him speak unspoken words of life

I hear His voice
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry
When I hear the sparrow singing
At the dawn of morning light
I hear His voice
When I hear the thunder echo through the sky
When I hear the wind whistlin’ through a forest full of pines
Then I know, yes I know
I have heard
The voice of God

In this faithless generation
Some refuse to just believe
In a God they cannot see
But I have had a revelation
And I’m as sure as I can be
That the God of all creation
Came to live inside of me

And though I have never heard His audible reply
I hear Him speak unspoken words of life

I hear His voice
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry
When I hear the sparrow singing
At the dawn of morning light
I hear His voice
When I hear the thunder echo through the sky
When I hear the wind whistlin’ through a forest full of pines
Then I know, yes I know
I have heard
The voice of God

I'm forgiven because You were forsaken
I'm accepted, Your were condemned
I'm alive and well
Your Spirit is within me
Because You died and rose again

Amazing Love how can it be
That You my King would die for me
Amazing Love I know it's true
And it's my joy to honor You
In all I do I honor You

You are my King
You are my King
Jesus, You are my King
You are my King

Amazing Love how can it be

Amazing Love I know it's true

The truths in this song stun me.

Jeanne, I will pray for you. I know you can do it and I will be here to cheer you on! ::yes:: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am not feeling very well today. :( I have a bad sinus head cold and my head hurts really bad too. :( I am just thankful that I got sick now before I go on my Disney World trip, because I don't want to be sick on my trip.

My Savior
Redeemer
Lifted me from the mirey clay
Almighty Forever
I'll never be the same
'Cause You came near
From the everlasting
To the world we live
The Father's only Son

And You lived
You died
And You rose again on high
You opened the way
For the world to live again
Hallelujah for all You've done<Font>

<Font color="darkblue">
Into Your hands I commit again
With all I am for You Lord
You hold my world in the palm of Your hand
And I am Yours forever

Jesus I believe in You
Jesus I belong to You
You're the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
With all I am

I'll walk with You where ever You call
Through tears and joy I'll trust in You
And I will live in all Your ways
Your promises forever

Jesus I believe in You
Jesus I belong to You
You're the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
Jesus I believe in You
Jesus I belong to You
You're the reason that I live
The reason that I sing
With all I am

Happy Saturday Morning All! :sunny:

Sarah, I hope you are feeling better today.

I was singing this song when I woke up this morning so I thought I would sing it for you guys too! :)

Blessed Assurance/Fanny Crosby

Blessèd assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

Perfect submission, all is at rest
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior, all the day long.

princess: I love that song, thanks for singing it.

This is the first weekend all summer that we have NOTHING planned for.. and I am so glad! Kids start school in a week, so we are going to be ultra lazy, and just hang out and play card games (anyone play Phase 10? What a blast).

:sunny: I hope you are feeling better!

Jillyfish, Fur, Tash, Sheree, Edie, Kim, Herc, Pogo.... just wanted to say good morning to you and to everyone else who posts here!

May your weekend be blessed! :wave2: ::yes::

I used to go to WISH all the time, but went off my plan, gained weight, and now I am embarrassed and almost out of control. I just need to get myself going. I can't do it, but JESUS can! Thanks for the invitation, and as soon as the kids go back (a week from Monday) I will be there! Hold me to that, okay?!

Otto,

I just saw your post. You know don't be embarrassed, you are beautiful in your skin! I too used to feel the way you did. I had DS 8 months ago and tipped the scale at 180 the day before I gave birth. I usually weigh around 135-140 and I stand tall at 5'9, so 180 was big for me. After my six week check up I could not wait to start running again. But due to the weather here in MD I was forced to workout inside my home which I hate, until my SIL introduced me to Windsor Pilates. Whoa, I love to workout at home now. I do a combo of Windsor Pilates and Tae Boe Cardio and for the past 8 months I've watched the weight fall right off of me. I'm still not at me regular weight but I'm slowly but surley getting there. When I don't feel like working out I say a prayer and ask for God's strength. When I'm running and my body feels as if it wants to quit I ask for Gods strength. Each time he pulls me through and I have the best work out.

I'll be your cheering partner if you want, it's always fun when you have someone in your corner. There are strength in numbers.

Kim, I would love to have you for a partner! I am going to be totally honest and let you know that Otto (My DH) and I just discussed this, and have decided to put off our start date until 9/7, the kids will be back in school, and the local fairs will be over. I dont' want to get started then go off plan right away. So... if that sounds good to you, I will take you up on your offer! Thanks for your encouragment. Hugs, Jeanne

Hi everyone -

I just stumbled on this thread...at over 130 pages, you'd think I would have found it by now! I hope you don't mind if I join you...

This is the song that was on when I found the thread, so I figured it would make a good first post to the thread! :)

I'm Alive

The first breath
A new sky
You hung the stars
And placed the sunrise
Painted colors
Yellow and green
And every other in between

From the dust
Became flesh and bone
The greatest gift I've ever known

Chorus
I'm alive
I'm alive
I feel Your arms around me
Your eyes of love surround me
I'm alive
To shine in pure perfection
And wake up every morning
In Your light
I'm so glad
I'm alive

Bare feet
My first steps
And new dreams
In every sunset
What a gift
That You give me every day
But what a price You had to pay

Life traveling on
And when my time has come
To say farewell
From dust to dust
But You bring me safely home

I take my first breath
I see the new sky
I hear the angels
I see my Father's eyes
And I know, I know

Hi Courtney! Another military wife here, just wanted to welcome you to our thread!

I danced in the morning
When the world was begun,
And I danced in the moon
And the stars and the sun,
And I came down from heaven
And I danced on the earth,
At Bethlehem
I had my birth.

Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said he

I danced for the scribe
And the pharisee,
But they would not dance
And they wouldn't follow me.
I danced for the fishermen,
For James and John -
They came with me
And the Dance went on.

Chorus I danced on the Sabbath
And I cured the lame;
The holy people
Said it was a shame.
They whipped and they stripped
And they hung me on high,
And they left me there
On a Cross to die.

Chorus I danced on a Friday
When the sky turned black -
It's hard to dance
With the devil on your back.
They buried my body
And they thought I'd gone,
But I am the Dance,
And I still go on.

Chorus They cut me down
And I leapt up high;
I am the life
That'll never, never die;
I'll live in you
If you'll live in me -
I am the Lord
Of the Dance, said he.

Revival
Robin Mark
As sure as gold is precious and the honey sweet
So You love this city and You love these streets
Every child out playing by their own front door
Every baby lying on the bedroom floor
Every dreamer dreaming in their dead-end job
Every driver driving through the rush hour mob
I feel it in my spirit feel it in my bones
You're going to send revival bring them all back home
I can hear the thunder in the distance
It's like a train on the edge of the town
I can feel the brooding of Your Spirit
Lay your burdens down
Lay your burdens down
From the preacher preaching when the well is dry
To the lost soul reaching for a higher high
From the young man working through his hopes and fears
To the widow walking through the veil of tears
Every man and woman every old and young
Every father's daughter every mother's son
I feel it in my spirit feel it in my bones
You're going to send revival bring them all back home
I can hear the thunder in the distance
It's like a train on the edge of the town
I can feel the brooding of Your Spirit
Lay your burdens down
Lay your burdens down

A Way/Michael W. Smith

Caught in a dream of where I want to be
Wrapped in a web of where I am
I feel a wall between what is and what should be
You find me waiting for a miracle
You hear me praying for a plan
You are the only one prepared to rescue me

Then you take away the distance
Found between the truth and me
And you give a simple reason to my restless rhyme
Whoa, hide me in the heavens
You have held within your hand
And make a way to find a way to soothe my mind

There is a way that might seem right to me
A dim reflection of what’s good
Just an illusion of the best that I can be
But there’s another path you offer me
I wish I always understood
Some way you see right through my thoughts
And know my needs

Then you take away the distance
Found between the truth and me
And you give a simple reason to my restless rhyme
Whoa, hide me in the heavens
You have held within your hand
And make a way to find a way to soothe my mind

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessèd peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
I’ll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Through this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

When my feeble life is o’er,
Time for me will be no more;
Guide me gently, safely o’er
To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shal mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under His Wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

There’s a sweet anointing in this sanctuary
There is a stillness in the atmosphere
Oh come lay down, the burdens you have carried
For in the sanctuary, God is here

There’s a sweet anointing in this sanctuary
There is a stillness in the atmosphere
Oh come lay down, the burdens you have carried
For in the sanctuary, God is here

God is here
He is here, God is here
To break the yoke, and lift the heavy burden
He is here, God is here
To heal the hopeless heart and bless the broken
Oh come lay down, the burdens you have carried
For in the sanctuary, God is here

Speak Lord, speak Lord
Speak Lord, speak Lord

Oh come lay down, the burdens you have carried
For in the sanctuary, God is here
