Absolutely Sheree'!

Jeanne, I have to tell you, I love it when you use the little princess: smiley when referring to me. :teeth:

Anyone know this song? It was the theme of our Missions Banquet and I love it!

We Speak To Nations/Israel Houghton

Hear the sound
The sound of the nations worshipping
Hear the sound
Of sons and daughters singing
Who will go for us
Who will shout to the corners of the earth
That Christ is King

We speak to nations, be open
We speak to nations, fall on your knees
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you

We speak to strongholds, be broken
Powers of darkness, you have to flee
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
We speak to you
Be free
Be free

Hear the sound
The sound of the nations calling
Hear the sound
The sound of the fatherless crying
We will go for you
We will shout to the corners of the earth
That Christ is King

We speak to nations, be open
We speak to nations, fall on your knees
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you

We speak to strongholds, be broken
Powers of darkness, you have to flee
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
We speak to you
Be free
Be free

Out of every nation, tribe and tongue
Lord we want to see your kingdom come
From the north, the south, the east and west
be free

We speak to nations, be open
We speak to nations, fall on your knees
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
We speak to you
Be free

That is a great song, princess:

To everybody back home,

Back home now I know you're prob'ly sleeping,
But over here it's the middle of the day.
I finally found some time to write a letter,
Sittin' here a half a world away.

I heard about all them folks protesting,
As if I really want this war.
But that don't stop me from believing
There're just some things worth fighting for.

And if I die before you wake,
I pray the world will take
A good look at what God's given us.

If we could only understand
Everything is in His hands.
All we need is a little faith and trust.
I want you to know it ain't too high a price to pay
If I die before you wake.

Tell everybody that I miss them,
and I can't wait to get back home.
Until then, I'll serve my country
and be proud to wear this uniform.

And if I die before you wake,
I pray the world will take
A good look at what God's given us.

If we could only understand
Everything is in His hands.
All we need is a little faith and trust.

I want you to know it ain't too high a price to pay
If I die before you wake.

No, it ain't too high a price to pay
if I die before you wake.
Everything is in His hands

Thanks for sharing that Michelle, or should I say, princess: LOL

Prayer and GOd's WORD are surley our great weapons and being in unity with fellow believers is our greatest plan for defense and battles when it comes to Satan and his attacks.

Ephesians 4
Unity in the Body of Christ

1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[1] says:
"When he ascended on high,
he led captives in his train
and gave gifts to men."[2] 9 (What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[3] ? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Thanks princess: Michelle for sharing that with us and I think that is very important that we all I pray together to block satan from coming in to our lifes. Satan can try and try to make us not stand together, but the fact is he will always lose the battle in the end.

WHAT MARY DIDN'T KNOW

She looked good in my eyes
And in everyone else's too
She had it all together
At least from others' point of view
Always the one to be with
And Mary was her name
I didn't know her to well
But enough to never be the same

She knew the things to say
She knew the things to do
She knew the people to know
But Lord she never knew You

What Mary didn't know
was the answer I was holdin'
I didn't think she'd change
so I never even tried
How was I to know
I wish I would've told her
Now I'll have to live and die
with what Mary didn't know

She was a seeker, lookin' to find
Some kind of somethin'
And I remember the time
When we were talkin'
Opportunity for me was prime
But I missed, now I look back in my mind

Right on the tip of my tongue was,
"Jesus died for you"
The words stayed right there
I never got through

The day came for Mary to stand before the throne
And as she saw the tears in her Father's eyes
She cried, "I wish I would've known."

I knew the things to say; I knew the things to do
I knew the people to know but God I never knew You.

Someday I'll answer for...

More patience required!

"Cease from anger." Psalms 37:8

Turn your  upside down :)

Hi guys. Haven't posted in a while. I'd appreciate some prayers next Sunday. I'm doing the solo in the song I'm posting below. It's my first real solo, and DH says I sound nervous when I start out. BTW, this is a really neat song that's got a very up-beat flavor (it always makes me think of The Little Mermaid), so it's fun to sing.

Halloweda Be Thy Name

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed-a Be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come They will be done
Hallowed-a Be Thy name (Halleluia)

On Earth as it is in Heaven,
Hallowed-a be Thy name.
Give us this day our daily bread
Hallowed-a be Thy name (oh glory)

Solo:
And forgive us all of our debts
Hallowed-a be Thy Name.
Just as we forgive our debtor
Hallowed-a be Thy Name

For thine is the kingdom
The power and Glory
Hallowed-a Be Thy Name
Forever and ever, forever and ever
Hallowed-a be Thy Name (forever)

Chorus:
Hallowed-a Be thy,
Hallowed-a Be Thy,
Hallowed-a Be Thy,
Thy Name
Forever
Hallowed-a be Thy Name.

Prayers going out to you. God will be with you, and you will do great.

Hi Lisa! I will sure be praying for you! Just keep practicing and you will do fine. ::yes:: Is that Carman's song? If it is I agree with you, very upbeat and fun with a definite Calypso flair! I will probably be singing it for the rest of the day now! :teeth:

I've never heard it on contemporary radio. It's an arrangement that's in our current book (I think arranged by Don Marsh). Everything we've done is really nice, but it's much more difficult than this choir is used to, so some people are grumbling a bit. Our director is mixing up the new ones with some simpler ones so that we have about 5 weeks to practice each song we do.

Thanks for all the prayers and kind words.

Hi Lisa:wave: I will say a prayer for you and I will be thinking of you on Sunday. Let us know how it goes.::yes::

Hi Everyone! I just love coming here and seeing what everyone posts! I love it how everyone is there for everyone, when you need a shoulder to cry on, or a prayer to be said, or even just to vent. I don't know about you guys but I feel like we are one big "Ohana"! Ohana means family and family means know one gets left behind or forgotten.:grouphug:

JESUS IS LIFE

Ladies and Gentleman, children of all ages
Anyone listening, I've got an announcement to make
There's been some confusion about a certain someone
A lot of discussion and a lot of debate
So if I may take just a moment to say who Jesus is to me

Jesus is life, yeah, oh, oh, oh
Jesus is life, yeah, oh, oh, oh
The air I'm breathing
Why my heart is beating
Everything I'm needing
Jesus is life
Jesus is life

Imagine the deepest sea without a drop of water
An infinite galaxy without even one single star
That's how I would be...so absolutely empty
Without Jesus' life in me there'd be no life at all
More than just a part, He's the very heart of everything I am

This is my position concerning my condition
This is my position concerning my condition
This is my position my life by definition

Jesus is life
Jesus is life
Jesus is life
Jesus is life

princess: Sarah :teeth: My name means " Princess"

God gave me this word. It hit me like a ton of bricks!!!

Due Season

"And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Galatians 6:9

In the early years of my Christian walk it seemed like every time I turned around there was a new test and a new trial facing me. I would just get through one and wham the next one would hit. It was such a frustrating time.

Then it was all summed up one day by something that I heard Jerry Savelle say "due season could be in 5 minutes and I sure would hate to faint and find out I missed due season by 5 minutes." That gave me the answer that I had been looking for.

As a Christian I am not promised that tests and trials will stop coming, if anything the Word of God states just the opposite. I am not guaranteed that the "rains" of life will stop assaulting my life, in fact the Word of God says that the "rain falls on the just and the unjust". What the Word of God does guarantee me is that "in due season I will reap if I faint not". Now all that I have to do is figure out how to not faint.
http://www.alliancemusic.org/devotions/archive/due_season.html

I love to share the Word of God with you all, because I never know who else might need to hear. Maybe God gives it to me so I can also in turn be a blessing to someone else.

Be Blessed all.

Sarah, thanks for posting such a good song and Sheree', what a great word for us all! Thank you for sharing. :)

"Cease from anger." Psalms 37:8

Hmmmm, dejavu... I think that's one He wants us to pay attention to!

Where is everybody???

Jeanne, how is your husband's recovery coming along?

"He heard my cry." Psalms 40:1

Because He's always listening. :listen:

This is one of my most favorite chapters in scripture. So much so I even adapted my email address from it. I think it would only be appropriate to sing this song. :)

I waited, for the Lord on high
I waited, and He heard my cry
I waited, for the Lord on high
I waited, and He heard my cry

He pulled me out of my despair
He taught me how to walk
From fear into security
From quicksand to the Rock

I waited, for the Lord on high
I waited, and He heard my cry
I waited, for the Lord on high
I waited, and He heard my cry

I sing to let the people know
That I have been restored
So they will kneel and understand
To return and trust in the Lord

I waited, for the Lord on high
I waited, and He heard my cry
I waited, for the Lord on high
I waited, and He heard my cry

And there's a new song
In my heart to sing
There's a new song
Praises for my King

Hey princess: Michelley! Love that Petra song and the Psalm from which it comes!

Show You Love/ Jars of Clay

Speak- say the words that no one else will ever say
Love- love like the world we know is over in a day

I'm gonna show you a love in every language
I'm gonna speak with the words that need no form
I'm gonna give you what you never had before

You're beautiful and I am weakened by the force of your eyes
So shine bright to separate the truth from the lies
I'm gonna show you love

I'm gonna show you a love in every language
I'm gonna speak with the words that need no form
I'm gonna give you what you never had before

So tie me to a tree and let the smoke and ash collect
No, I won't regret to let love do what love will let
We can drown in mixed emotions or walk across an angry sea
This is the cost of being free

I'm gonna show you a love in every language
I'm gonna speak with the words that need no form
I'm gonna give you what you never had before

Lisa, I am praying for you for Sunday! This is one of my favorite songs...so simple and what I desire in ALL that I do...but especially when I sing...

Be My Glory/FFH

You, O Lord, are a shield about me
You, O Lord, are my refuge, yea
You, O Lord are a shield about me
You, O Lord, lift up my head

Be my glory
Be my glory
Be my glory
Be my glory

You, O Lord, are a shield about me
You, O Lord, are my refuge, yea
You, O Lord, are a shield about me
You, O Lord, lift up my head

Be my glory
Be my glory
Be my glory
Be my glory

How I long to be conformed in You, Jesus
In my weakness be my strength
Hear my prayer as I kneel before you now
Break me ‘till You’re all they see

Be my glory
Be my glory
Be my glory
Be my glory
