Fur, unfortunately I have to run... :( But I'll sing one since your here to "hear" it! Have a day devoted to bringing Him GLORY!

GLORY TO GOD/ The Donut Man...

Glory, glory, glory to God!
Glory in the highest!

Glory, glory, glory to God!
Glory in the highest!

And peace on earth
(Good will to men)
Peace on earth

And peace on earth
(Good will to men)
Peace on earth
The Savior is born!

Glory, glory, glory to God!
Glory in the highest!

Glory, glory, glory to God!
Glory in the highest!

I bring you good News
Good tidings of great joy

I bring you good News
Good tidings of great joy
The Savior is born

Great song! Have a good day, Jill :)

She Looks To The Sky/Sherri Youngward

They say she is loved by the greatest of all
Who have walked in the world
He lives far away still she spends all her days
Content with only His words

She often walks alone
But never is she lonely
You can offer her anything
Her affections are all for Him only

She looks to the sky
As if He is coming down through the clouds up above
Though no one has seen Him you cannot deny
She is drenched in His love

She often walks alone
But never is she lonely
You can offer her anything
Her affections are all for Him only

All the day long she sings sweetly
She says He speaks to her mind
She’s only rich with affliction
Yet a bitter word you won’t find

She lives with assurance
He loves her too deeply to let such distance remain
She’s brimming with longing for Him to come calling
And sweep her away

She often walks alone
But never is she lonely
You can offer her anything
Her affections are all for Him only...

Romans 8:38 "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. 39Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. "

How good it is to give thanks unto the Lord
How good it is to give thanks unto our God
For He heals the broken hearted
Binding up their wounds
Oh it is good to bless His holy name

We're gonna bless His name
Oh we give thanks
Unto our Savior
And with a heart of gratitude we give Him praise
His mercy shall endure forever
And I will worship Him all of my days

"Praise the Lord, how good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him...He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
" Psalm 147:1,3

Without Condition/Ginny Owens

You find this situation just a bit uncomfortable;
You'd rather stay far away from reality.
For you to understand would be clearly impossible;
So you shut your eyes and swear you can see.
Claiming there is a God, but does that mean anything?
So condescending to those that you don't understand;
Just too easy to make them your enemies.
Like an ostrich, you bury your head in the sand,
And then shout about all the things you believe.
But if there is a God, don't you think He can see
What you really mean? What you're doing?

You can't find the answers
Till you learn to question;
You won't appear stupid
Just ask for direction.
You're insecure and it clouds your perception
So stop and listen
And learn a lesson in love without condition.

So place all the souls that you know
In their own little box;
Quite convenient to handle them that way;
You're the only one you know who carries a cross
You don't care what they care about anyway.
And You talk to your God,
Prayin' for those who sin,
For their eyes to be opened.

You can't find the answers
Till you learn to question;
You won't appear stupid
Just ask for direction.
You're insecure and it clouds your perception
So stop and listen
And learn a lesson in love without condition.

Wooohooooo!!!!!!! I LOVE the scriptures that you guys posted! :)

Michelle, Thanks for singing How Good it Is. I love that song and haven't heard/sung it in too long!

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

See from His head, His hands, His feet
Sorrow and love now flowing down
Did ever such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown

Oh the wonderful cross
Oh the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die
And find that I may truly live
Oh the wonderful cross
Oh the wonderful cross
All who gather here
By grace draw near and bless Your name

We bless Your name

I will shout for joy and sing Your praises, for You have redeemed me.

Psalm 71:23

Fur, I have had The Wonderful Cross stuck in my head ever since you posted it! Not a bad thing I guess! LOL I love that song. :)

Lord it was You
Who created the heveans
Lord it was Your hand
That put the stars in their place
Lord it was Your voice
That commands the morning
Even oceans and their waves
Bow at your feet

Lord who am I
compared to Your glory, Oh Lord
Lord who am I compared to Your majasty

I am Your beloved
Your creation
And You love me as I am
You have called me chosen
For Your kingdom
Unashamed to call me Your own
I am Your beloved

Woohooo! You sang one of my favorite worship songs, Michelle! :)

I hope everyone is having a good day :)

this is from the same CD as the last one....Peace: A Celtic Christmas. This song is one that a lady from my old church sang quite often and it just isn't "Chrismas" til I've heard it. Now I can hear it any time!

In The bleak Midwinter/ Sheila Walsh

In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron
Water like a stone
Snow had fallen snow on snow
Snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter long ago

Our God
Heaven cannot hold Him
Nor the earth sustain
Heaven and earth shall flee away
When He comes to reigh

In the bleak midwinter
A stable place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty
Jesus Christ

What can I give Him poor as I am
If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb
If I were a wise man I would do my part
Yet what can I give Him
Give my heart

Hi everyone!

I hope this morning finds each of you doing well! It is snowing here again. We have 9 inches and forecast calls for an additional 3-6! DH's plow isn't working again(had to get it fixed for last week's storm) and he is quite stressed! We have 9 plowing customers. Please pray that he can get it in to be fixed TODAY and that this time it would stay fixed!

We actually went to church yesterday....no shows, no snow and no sickness for once in a long time! It was nice. It is a small church pastored by our old Pastor who moved away and then back. It isn't quite what I like, but DH and the kids do most of the time. Time will tell. It has MANY of the "outcasts" from our old church...so it is nice to see old friends!

Put in our tree yesterday and Logan(puppy) thinks it is just like the one out in the yard that he has been attacking and ripping branches off!! He is being fairly good and only occassionally nips of the ends....thinks it needs to be pruned I guess!

Those of you who have sent prayer request via private email....I am praying! But keep reminding me...my tired brain gets overloaded this time of year!

Have a wonderful day!

Tasha, the songs you have been sharing are beautiful. I used to love Sheila Walsh back in the day but haven't heard anything from her in such a long time. I imagine she sings Celtic songs beautifully! :)

Here is one of my new favorite songs from one of my new favorite cd's and I'd like to dedicate to all the wonderful "Sheltering Trees" I have found here.

Newsong/Sheltering Trees

It's been said a friend is like a mighty sheltering tree
A place of refuge we can run when trouble comes for you and me
Someone we can count on through the thick and thin
When the storms of life are blowing, there's just nothing like a friend
(There's just nothing like a friend)

We all need sheltering trees
Friends in our lives who'll get down on their knees
And lift us up before the king of kings
We all need sheltering trees

There've been days that I was sure that I couldn't make it through
Clouds of doubt came rolling in and I didn't know what I would do
I would've given in and said I just can't go on
If it hadn't been for a friend that helped me to be strong
(Helped me to be strong)

We all need sheltering trees
Friends in our lives who'll get down on their knees
And lift us up before the king of kings
We all need sheltering trees

You can face the highest mountain and the climb won't feel so high
Or cross the darkest valley and it won't seem so wide
Nothing is impossible when a friend is by your side

We all need sheltering trees
Friends in our lives who'll get down on their knees
And lift us up before the king of kings
We all need sheltering trees

Hey Michelle!

Love that song!! DD has that CD and that is my fave from it...there's another one I like too, but can't think of it at the moment!

I like Sheila Walsh's Celtic ones....listend to some of the others she has done and have to say I like the Christmas CD the best...doesn't that work out nicely since that is the one I have!!:D

Love ya SIS!

PS...you are a "sheltering tree" to many of us as well! God has blessed each of us with the others!!

Well, there isn't a bad song on the entire cd, but I don't think there is any such thing as a bad song by Newsong! :teeth: They are like 4HIM number 2 for me even though they have been around longer, shhhhhh. ;)

Yes, I would say that works quite well that the songs you like best are on the one cd that you have. :)

I have to get going, need to run by the Post Office before I head off to work. I hope all of you have a wonderful and blessed day! :sunny: ::yes:: :sunny:

Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble?

Did you feel the mountains tremble?
Did you hear the oceans roar?
When the people rose to sing of
Jesus Christ the risen one

Did you feel the people tremble?
Did you hear the singers roar?
When the lost began to sing of
Jesus Christ the risen one

And we can see that God you're moving
A mighty river through the nations
And young and old will turn to Jesus
Fling wide your heavenly gates
Prepare the way of the risen Lord

Open up the doors and let the music play
Let the streets resound with singing
Songs that bring your hope
Songs that bring your peace
Dancers who dance upon injustice

Did you feel the darkness tremble?
When all the saints join in one song
And all the streams flow as one river
To wash away our brokeness

And here we see that God you're moving
A time of Jubilee is coming
When young and old return to Jesus
Fling wide your heavenly gates
Prepare the way of the risen Lord

What a great song, Jeanne!

Michelle, great Newsongs! How was WDW?

stamper, I hope DH got his plow fixed. Our big snow this week was a "washout" and the snow from last week is all but gone. Sheila Walsh is one of the Women of Faith speakers and she sings at those every year. She is an awesome singer/speaker. I still remember her from long ago too in her "punk" phase! LOL

The scriptures that Michelle, Jeanne and Jennifer posted on these last couple of pages have really ministered to me. Just another way we can be "Sheltering Trees"...by speaking His Word over one another... AMEN! :bounce:

Here's a hymn I love...WHAT AN AWESOME SAVIOR WE HAVE!!!

Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, Who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
“Full atonement!” can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die;
“It is finished!” was His cry;
Now in heav’n exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew His song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
