What a friend I've found
Closer than a brother
I have felt Your touch
More intimate that lovers

Jesus
Jesus
Jesus
Friend forever

What a hope I've found
More faithful than a mother
It would break my heart
To ever lose each other

Jesus
Oh sweet Jesus
Jesus
Friend forever

I love You Jesus

For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or
destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which
he confirmed to them by oath.
Deuteronomy 4:31

We sang this song in church this morning and it really made me think of all my DIS friends and this thread. There are days when I don't have alot of computer time, but I always try to search out the "Christian Music" thread!

I pray for each of you daily.

In Him,
Edie

Praying You Through the Storm

Jennifer Stanley – PRAYING YOU THROUGH THE STORM
From the album – WHERE I WANT TO BE
Label – ACS Music (2001)

Sometimes the wind blows harder than you think your house can stand
You’ve never faced this kind of storm before
And you thought because you built upon the rock and not the sand
The house would not be threatened anymore
But in every life, there is pain
And even though I cannot stop the rain

chorus
I’ll be praying you through the storm
Praying you through the storm
I’ll be interceding, for whatever you’re needing
Praying, I’ll be praying you through the storm
I know you’ll make it through this, even though you can’t see how
But maybe it’s not meant for you to know
Tomorrow, you’ll look back at the storm that’s raging now
And there won’t be any strong winds left to blow
So please know in your heart, it will end
Cause I’m making you this promise my friend

chorus (2x)

Knowing You

words and music by Graham Kendrick

All I once held dear, built my life upon,
All this world reveres and wars to own;
All I once thought gain I have counted loss,
Spent and worthless now compared to this

Chorus Knowing You, Jesus, knowing You
There is no greater thing.
You're my all, You're the best,
You're my joy, my righteousness,
And I love You, Lord.

Now my heart's desire is to know You more,
To be found in You and known as Yours,
To possess by faith what I could not earn
All surpassing gift of righteousness.

Chorus

Oh to know the power of Your risen life,
And to know You in your sufferings;
To become like You in Your death, my Lord,
So with You to live and never die.

Chorus

Have a good week!

In Him,
Edie

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

See from His head, His hands, His feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did ever such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown

O the wonderful cross
O the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die
And find that I may truly live
O the wonderful cross
O the wonderful cross
All who gather here
By grace draw near
And bless Your name

We bless Your name</Font>

Lord You are good
And Your mercy endureth forever
Lord You are good
And Your mercy endureth forever
People from every nation and tongue
From generation to generation

We worship You
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
We worship You for who You are
We worship You
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
We worship You for who You are

You are good!</Font>

Teach me, O Lord, to follow every one of your principles.
Give me understanding and I will obey your law;I will put it into practice with all my heart.
Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.
Give me an eagerness for your decrees; do not inflict me with love for money!
Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
Reassure me of your promise, which is for those who honor you.
Help me abandon my shameful ways; your laws are all I want in life.
I long to obey your commandments!
Renew my life with your goodness.

Psalm 119:33-40

Altogether worthy
You're altogether wonderful to me

Someone sent me this poem, I thought I would share it. :)

NOT YET

Sometimes I ask the question,
"My Lord, is this your will?"
It's then I hear you answer me,
"My Precious Child... be still."

Sometimes I feel frustrated,
cause I think I know what's best.
It's then I hear you say to me,
"My Busy Child... just rest"

Sometimes I feel so lonely
and I think I'd like a mate.
Your still small voice gets oh so clear
and says, "My Child... please wait"

"I know the plans I have for you,
the wondrous things you'll see;
If you can just be patient, Child,
and put your trust in me.

I've plans to draw you closer.
I've plans to help you grow.
There's much I do you cannot see
and much you do not know.

But know this, Child ..... I LOVE YOU.
You are Precious unto Me.
Before I formed you in the womb,
I planned your destiny.

I've something very special
I hope for you to learn.
The gifts I wish to give to you
are gifts you cannot earn.

They come without a price tag,
but not without a cost;
at Calvary, I gave My Son,
so You would not be lost.

Rest Child, and do not weary
of doing what is good.
I promise I'll come back for you
just like I said I would.

Your name is written on my palm,
I never could forget;
Therefore, do not be discouraged when
my answer is... "Not Yet"

Wow, Michelle, I love that poem. Thank you for posting that.

There is a Redeemer

There is a Redeemer
Jesus, God's own Son
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One

Jesus, my Redeemer, name above all names
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,
O, for sinners slain

Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit til the work on earth is done

When I stand in glory
I will see His face
And there I'll serve my King forever in that Holy place!

Thank You, O my Father, for giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit til the work on earth is done

From "The Last Time I Was Here" by Bryan Duncan...

Stay with me awhile
God of all that's come and gone
You are the faithful Rose of Sharon
You are the morning's final dawn
I need you to pray with me awhile
Let me feel your strength in me
Here in the cradle of my soul
Let me let all else now go
I've gone around the world
To find the precious pearl
Was here all along
Yeah

Hey Jill! :) I love both of those songs!!
