I heard this song last night in the car. I had not heard it in so long!!!! I couldn't help but think about this thread while I was singing it so I figured that I would post the words. I think it will encourage all of us to know that our Lord loves when we sing His praises!!!!!

Thanks for the wonderful songs the last couple of days, everyone. Such an encouragement to me at such a busy time. Please, pray my family will be healthy and stay that way for a little while. We did so well during the winter with only a few scattered illnesses. Now I guess we're making up for that!

The best nurses I know are those with empathy, kindness and patience. As I work with the sick and injured, I often think of the tenderness and compassion that Jesus extended to people. I received a WONDERFUL blessing yesterday that I wanted to share with ya'll. A few weeks ago I was helping a new girl at work fill out her insurance papers and she was saying how glad she was that it was so cheap and that x amount was a great price for insurance. Well, I was a bit shocked when she said that because I was paying nearly double that amount. So I was like are you sure that's what your rate is and she said yes so I talked to our HR person about it and she said she would check into it for me. Well, yesterday I get to work and there is an envelope on my desk with a check in it. It turns out that they were overcharging me, they got me mixed up with someone else somehow and were charging me for things I had not asked for so when they were made aware of the mistake they issued me a refund of everything I was overcharged. That was a tidy little sum I got back!

I got this in an email tonight and thought I would share it with ya'll.

back with a strong east wind and turned it
into dry land" (Exodus 14:21, NIV).

I'm standing here looking at a Red Sea. It
consists of pain, depression, fatigue and
sadness. It's wide and it's deep and I am not
certain how or when I am going to get to the
other side of it. But I know that the devil is
behind me, ready to take me captive if I don't.
It's imperative that I keep moving forward.

When Moses brought the Israelites out of bondage
in Egypt, they had to halt at the Red Sea. As
they stood there, looking at the vast water,
hearing the sound of the Pharaoh's horses and
chariots bearing down on them, they became afraid
and complained bitterly to Moses, accusing him
of bringing them to their death. But God parted
the waters for them and they crossed to safety.
Miriam then led the Israelites in a song of praise
as they expressed their love and gratitude to God.

What is it that makes us thank God only after the
trouble is over? God is worthy of our praise at all
times and he asks us to worship Him now, where we're
standing, on the scary side of the sea, before He has
even started to part the waters and shown us the
path to safety.

On good days, I find it easy to praise God for family
and friends, for His gift of salvation, and for
strengthening me. On bad days, I can't always find
the energy to give thanks. That's when I turn to the
Book of Psalms and read one or two out loud, using
someone else's words of praise as my own.

Friends, when you're struggling and just don't feel
like worshipping the LORD God, may I suggest that you
do the same. Turn to a psalm such as Psalm 118:28 and
read, "You are my God, and I will give thanks; you are
my God, and I will exalt you."
