Threads-Geoff Moore

There is a thread

Running between

The first and last

Breath that we breathe

And in this strand

Of flesh and bone

Resides the hopes

And dreams we call our own

Three's a hand

That sews the threads together

Around one strand

Of saving scarlet thread

Come as you are

Weary worn and tattered

Come and take

Your place among the threads

There is a thread

Sometimes unseen

Moving through life's tapestry

And when this strand

Enters a soul

It's woven to the One

That makes us whole

And there's a hand

That sews the threads together

Around on strand

Of saving scarlet thread

Come as you are

Weary, worn and tattered

Come and take

Your place among the threads

Come and take

Your place among the threads

Yes I Believe in God-Rebecca St.James

Whatever the cost

From this day on - until forever

I will take the narrow road

For I am not alone

I do not walk this path alone

Yes, I believe in God

This I will say to you

Mean it death or mean it life

Oh, I believe in God

For I have found the way

And I am not ashamed

I believe in God

So through the fire

I'll be refined

And if that fire

Were to take this life

I'll be with Him forever

I will be with Him forever

repeat chorus

You said

"If any man comes after Me

He must deny himself, take his cross

And follow after Me"

So here I come after You

Knowing when my life I lose

You give Yours in return

You give Your new life in return

Forever-Plus One

I lost you in the darkness

When I fell from the light

I held on to the world too tight

I thought I'd never find You

Thought I'd be alone

But You took my hand and led me home

Now I know

I know that

You'll always be

Where I go

Forever is a long time

To be without You in my life

I wanna keep You by my side

'Cuz forever is a long time

You have faith when I'm faithless

Strength when I don't

You believe in me even when I won't

You are patient, You are true

Your love is what gets me through

repeat chorus

Power verse:
4/11/03 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." Isaiah 40:29

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amen to this one....this is a promise I *need*. Man, talk about weary...this time change is harder every year for me to adjust to!
Thanks JC...I miss you guys too....I feel so pulled in so many directions these days!
Where is that ME-Shell? She better not be havin' a picnic and not invite us. I like lemonade...but what exactly is a "paw-paw" - always wondered that when we sang that song!
CS...you sure are a good singer:D
Jilly, has spring arrived for you? Almost here although we had SNOW last weekend...ugh. But spring has sprung - inside if not out. I planted some seeds on Mon. and I have tomato seedlings up today, still waiting for the "posies" to break through. I'm not much of a "green thumb" so this is quite a day for me:bounce: !
No one but You Lord
Can satisfy the longing in my heart
Nothing I do Lord
Can take the place of drawing near to You
Only You can fill my deepest longing
Only You can breathe new life in me
Only You can fill my heart with laughter
Only You can answer my heart's cry
Father I love You
Come satisfy the longing in my heart
Fill me, overwhelm me
Until I know Your love deep in my heart
Only You can fill my deepest longing
Only You can breathe new life in me
Only You can fill my heart with laughter
Only You can answer my heart's cry
Happy Palm Sunday Ya'll! :)
Blessed Is He Who Comes/Carman
On a little donkey
Two thousand years ago
Christ rode into Jerusalem
So all the world would know
He was fulfilling prophecy
And everyone could sing
And worship their Savior,
Messiah and King!
They sang Hosanna, Hosanna
Blessed is he who comes
In the name of the Lord
Hosanna, Hosanna
Blessed is he who comes
In the name of the Lord
Oh the people worshipped
The little children laughed
They took the palm leaves
From the trees and laid them in His path
Their hearts were overflowing
Their spirits came alive
Emmanuel the Chosen One
Has finally arrived!
They sang Hosanna, Hosanna
Blessed is he who comes
In the name of the Lord
Hosanna, Hosanna
Blessed is he who comes
In the name of the Lord
I haven't read the whole thread yet - too much time WISHing I guess. I have been listening to Nichole Nordemans 'this mystery' CD alot lately, I know it's older but I just found it!
Anyhow, this song really moved me - very Easter
Tremble - Nichole Nordeman
Have I come too casually?
Because it seems to me
There's something I've neglected
How does one approach a Deity
with imformality
And still protect the Sacred?
'Cause you came and chose to wear the skin of all of us
And it's easy to forget You left a throne
And the line gets blurry all the time
Between daily and Divine
And it's hard to know the difference
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
Face down on the ground do I dare
To take the liberty to stare at you
Oh, let me not,
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
What a shame to think that I'd appear
Even slightly cavalier
In the matter of salvation
Do I claim this gift You freely gave
As if it were mine to take
With such little hesitation?
'Cause you came and stood among the very least of us
And it's easy to forget you left a throne
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
Oh, let me not froget to tremble
Face down on the ground do I dare
To take the liberty to stare at you
Oh, let me not
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
The cradle of the grave could not contain Your Divinity
Neither can I oversimplify this love
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
Face down on the ground do I dare
To take the liberty to stare at you
Oh, let me
Oh, let me not forget to tremble
ohmom, all I can say is WOW, I've never heard that song before, the words are just breathtaking. What a reminder.
I'm so glad you came and sang with us, I hope you will come again. Good luck with your W.I.S.H. ing! :)
This one was never recorded, but my former church sang it for worship often & I LOVE it! It was written by a bible student in upstate NY. It's my favorite. Wish you could hear the instrumental. What a beautiful worship song.
RIVER OF GOD
Here I am - only by Your mercy, Jesus
All I am - devoted to You
I exalt You - in the beauty of Your Holy presence
Whatever You want to do - I surrender myself to You
River of God, flow through me
Fire of God consume me
Holy Spirit - Fill me, Fill me
River of God, flow through me
Fire of God consume me
Holy Spirit come
Soul Tattoo-Plus One
I just know that I've never felt like this
And I know it's because You exist in my life
Like hope shining bright through the stormy skies
And that's why I could never turn away from you
I'd be some kind of fool to think I could lose your love
You know that's something I can't do
'Cause You're the answer to the questions
The reason to the rhyme
You're the rhythm to my heart when it beats out of time
I'm so thankful, Lord, that You are mine
It's true, that You are my soul tattoo
Lord, You know all that I want to do
Is to spend my life loving You
It's Your love time and again that pulls me through
And I want to say thank You
repeat chorus
Etched on my soul
Your love is so true
Always in my heart
In Your arms forever
Stamped forever
Here in my soul
repeat chorus
CS... LOVE that "Plus One" song...
Etched on my soul
Your love is so true
Always in my heart
In Your arms forever
Stamped forever
Here in my soul
'Cause You're the answer to the questions
The reason to the rhyme
You're the rhythm to my heart when it beats out of time
I'm so thankful, Lord, that You are mine
It's true, that You are my soul tattoo
Pirates Who Don't Do Anything-Veggietales
(time for singing veggies:) )
Narrator: "Joining Larry are Pa Grape and Mr. Lunt, who together make up the infamous gang of scalliwags, the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything!"
Larry, Pa, Mr. Lunt: "We are the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! We just stay home and lie around. And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you ..."
Larry: "We don't do anything!"
Pa: "Well, I've never been Greenland and I've never been to Denver, and I've never buried treasure in St. Louis or St. Paul, and I've never been to Moscow and I've never been to Tampa, and I've never been to Boston in the fall."
All: "'Cuz we're the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! We just stay home and lie around. And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you ..."
Mr. Lunt: "We don't do anything. And I never hoist the mainstay and I never swab the poop deck, and I never veer to starboard 'cuz I never sail at all, and I've never walked the gang plank and I've never owned a parrot, and I've never been to Boston in the fall."
All: "'Cuz we're the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! We just stay at home and lie around. And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you ... We don't do anything!"
Larry: "Well, I've never plucked a rooster and I'm not too good at ping-pong, and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall, and I've never kissed a chipmunk and I've never gotten head lice, and I've never been to Boston in the fall!"
Pa: "Huh? What are you talking about? What's a rooster and mashed potatoes have to do with being a pirate??"
Mr. Lunt: "Hey, that's right! We're supposed to sing about pirate-y things!"
Larry: "Oh ..."
Pa: "And who ever kissed a chipmunk? That's just nonsense! Why even bring it up? Am I right? What do you think?"
Mr. Lunt: "I think you look like Cap'n Crunch!"
Pa: "Huh? No I don't!"
Mr. Lunt: "Do too."
Pa: "Do not!"
Mr. Lunt: "You're making me hungry."
Pa: "That's it, you're walkin' the plank!"
Mr. Lunt: "Says who?"
Pa: "Says the captain, that's who!"
Mr. Lunt: "Oh, yeah? Aye aye, Cap'n Crunch!"
Larry: "And I've never licked a spark plug and I've never sniffed a stink bug, and I've never painted daisies on a big red rubber ball, and I've never bathed in yogurt and I don't look good in leggings ..."
Pa: "You just don't get it!"
All: "And we've never been to Boston in the fall!"
Pa: "Pass the chips! Who's got the remote control?"
Larry: "Here is is!"
Mr. Lunt: "Time for Geraldo!"
Pa: "It's definitely time for Wapner."
Mr. Lunt: "Oh, I don't like this show ..."
I abosolutely LOVE this song!
What a picture of the Maker of the UNIVERSE...as man... as a humble servant...unto death...even death on a cross. The Lamb of God, The Savior of the world...the HOLY sinless one...becoming a curse for the redemption of the cursed! And though cursed for us...VICTORIOUS over sin and death and seated once again in GLORY! What a loving AWESOME GOD we serve!
The melody and Phil Keaggy's phenomenal guitar playing only enhance these tremendous lyrics...
MAKER OF THE UNIVERSE
/Phil Keaggy; Lyrics By F. W. Pitt
The Maker of the universe,
As Man, for man, was made a curse.
The claims of Law which He had made,
Unto the uttermost He paid.
His holy fingers made the bough,
Which grew the thorns that crowned His brow.
The nails that pierced His hands were mined
In secret places He designed.
He made the forest whence there sprung
The tree on which His body hung.
He died upon a cross of wood,
Yet made the hill on which it stood.
The sky that darkened o'er His head,
By Him above the earth was spread.
The sun, that hid from Him, it's face
By His decree was poised in space.
The spear which spilled His precious blood
Was tempered in the fires of God.
The grave in which His form was laid
Was hewn in rocks His hands had made.
The throne on which He now appears
Was His from everlasting years.
But a new glory crowns His brow
And every knee to Him shall bow.
Thank you everyone for welcoming me. I wish that I had a scanner & could scan the sheet music in for River of God. My son plays it for me on the piano often, but it sounds exceptionally beautiful with full instrumental. Gotta run - Youth Group in an hour.
God Bless each & everyone of you and have a blessed Easter.
Praise GOD!!! dclwdwlover:bounce:
