Well, I got the new SCC CD. It is just as awesome as I expected it to be! All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! It is very personal and intimate. He lays his grieving heart open for all to hear. These songs have been written as he and his family deal with the loss of their daughter. Each song tells part of the story.
I am going to post a couple of my favorites this morning. I will try to share more in the next few days.
Jesus Will Meet You There
by Steven Curtis Chapman
When you think youve hit the bottom
And the bottom gives way
And you fall into a darkness
No words can explain
You dont know how youll make it out alive
Jesus will meet you there
And when the doctor says, Im sorry, we dont know what else to do.
And youre looking at your family
Wondering how theyll make it through
Whatever road this life takes you down
Jesus will meet you there
He knows the way to wherever you are
He knows the way to the depths of your heart
He knows the way cause Hes already been where youre going
Jesus will meet you there
When the jury says guilty
And the prison doors close
The one you love says nothing
But just packs up and goes
The sunlight comes and your worlds still dark
Jesus will meet you there
When you failed again
And all the second chances have been used
And the heavy weight of guilt and shame
Is crushing down on you
And all you have is one last cry for help
Jesus will meet you there
He knows the way to wherever you are
He knows the way to the depths of your heart
He knows the way cause Hes already been where youre going
When you realize the dreams youve had
For your child wont come true
And when the phone rings
In the middle of the night with tragic news
Whatever valley you must walk through
Jesus will meet you there
He will meet you there
Jesus will meet you there
The song is so new that I have not been able to find a video for it. You can listen to a sample of the song on iTunes or on SCC's web site. Here is the link on his web site. You will have to click the arrow until you get to this particular song.
