chopping broccoli....I saw some SNL clip the other night of that Dana Carvey clip and now I can't get it out of my head, lol.

I love that sketch. Just too funny that you can see him making up the words the words as he's going along. I don't know if that was scripted or ad-libbed, but it was funny none-the-less.

I love that skit!!! I sing "chopping broccoli" all the time, lol!

My most favorite skit is of Dan Akroyd as Julia Child and he cuts his finger. It proceeds to shoot "blood" all over the set. I ROLL every time -- it was on that show too.

We saw him live, down the Cape many years ago and he did that skit. I NEVER laughed so hard in my life (until I got on the Disney Magic and laughed at the comedian on stage, but thats another story). It was hysterical!

Definitely one of my favorites! Not only is the song funny cause it's so stupid, but the judges (or whoever they are) are sitting there looking at him as though the song is a masterpiece. I love it when he starts whaling at the end and saying "I'm choppin' broco-LEY, I'm choppin' broco-LIE. Too funny!! Thanks for posting this.

I've never seen the clip, but broccoli cannot be mentioned in this house w/o DH reciting the segment. Now the 8 year old does it too, and he's never even seen it!
